POWERFUL VOICE; ELUSIVE BEAUTY
Monday, May 7, 2018:
The week starts off with a lot of astrological activity as though to make up for the quiet week we have just completed. Monday begins with a disagreement between Mercury, the planet of reason, and Pluto, the planet of power and darkness. Watch for conversations that involve deep challenges to your beliefs. Take a step forward on a conversation or study that began in late January 2018. Speak with full awareness of the words you choose. Listen with that same clarity.
If there is a power struggle, consider who holds the power. If they do, be prepared to side-step the pressure they bring. If you are the one holding the power, make sure you bring integrity and kindness to the conversation.
More complications ensue as beautiful Venus, the planet of values, resources, and love, forms a challenging square to Neptune, the planet that often bewilders us with its elusive qualities. Stay away from the booze and any shady financial dealings. Make sure you are not deluding yourself in money or love. Take time to appreciate beauty, create a work of art or something else of value, meditate, sing.
You may find yourself restless at bedtime with the 3rd Quarter Square of the Moon phase exact at 10:09 PM EDT. As the cycle progresses and the light wanes, what do you need to begin the process of releasing? With the Moon in Aquarius, look beyond the constraints of conventional thought. Consider the value of minimalism.

SETTING GUIDEPOSTS
Tuesday, May 8, 2018:
Tuesday is likely a day of adjustment after the multiple activities of Monday. This is a day to settle into deeper thought and a more inspired understanding of beauty and value.
The evening brings the steadfast Taurus Sun opposing Jupiter, the planet of belief and expansion. You may notice renewed clarity regarding your own path to higher understanding. What began to expand in late October 2017? Watch for a new story or a renewed story, regarding the issues of the #MeToo movement. Women are indeed, on the rise. Watch for it.
The Moon is in progressive Aquarius helping you to detach from worry about what the neighbors (family, friends, or whomever) might think or expect of you. You are able to set your own pace, to engage in original progressive thinking and planning for the path ahead. You understand that the path you plan is not for your feet to trod alone, you push forward into the future setting guideposts for those who follow.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* for a short period of time between 10:29 PM EDT and when she enters Pisces at 11:11 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DEEPEN COMPASSION
Wednesday, May 9, 2018:
Late Tuesday night, the Moon left Aquarius behind and slipped into the imaginative sensitivity of Pisces. On Wednesday, she passes quietly through Pisces, forming only a supportive sextile aspect to Saturn in the evening.

Saturn will help you keep your feet on the ground and not get swept into unrealistic, intangible daydreams of unrestrained imagination. Sometimes Pisces can do that, sweeping you away into escapism or dreams. When the Moon is in Pisces, it is not too difficult to get carried away into elusive and poetic fancies.
This will be a good day to create a piece of music, write a poem, or watch a movie. All these things will help you keep harsh realities at bay. Stay away from the booze, drugs, and unrestrained suffering. If you are suffering, turn to music, poetry, or your meditation cushion.
Contemplate the fact of suffering as a truly human condition, something we all experience. This understanding allows you to open your heart to deep empathy and compassion. Look into the eyes of everyone you encounter and know that they too suffer. Offer a silent prayer of unconditional love to each and every one of them.

ESCAPE WITH POETRY
Thursday, May 10, 2018:
There is so much dreaminess on the table this morning, it may be challenging to simply go about the business of living your everyday life. You would prefer to go into your own private, intangible inner landscape. Give yourself the space to do just that. Meditation and rest will support the best use of the day.
Light a candle, spend time alone, allow your intuition and your dreams to speak to you. Pay attention when they do. Write or read poetry that inspires you to enlarge your compassion and unconditional love for others.
Beware of escapism, drugs and alcohol, passivity, and hiding behind victimization. Write a poem instead.
Offer your support to others if you have it to give; ask for support from others if you are in need. Open to love.

FACE YOUR FEARS; SEE YOUR STRENGTH
Friday, May 11, 2018:
It may come as a surprise on Friday when the soft, passive energies of the Pisces Moon lift. At 8:41 AM EDT, the Moon enters assertive, fast-moving Aries. Set aside your thoughts of soft, dreamy escapism and take onboard an active, direct approach.
When the Moon is in Aries, you may have little patience for others. You do have plenty of energy to engage in physical activities and for demanding what is right for you. It is good to remember that the Aries Moon teaches courage. How do you learn courage? Certainly not by sitting on the couch resting. When the Moon is in Aries, face your fears, move outside your limitations, and learn courage.
At 7:10 PM EDT, there is a lovely trine aspect formed from the Taurus Sun to transformative Pluto. The cycle between the Sun and Pluto is a cycle of empowerment. This cycle began in early January; do you remember what issues regarding power were on the table in your life at that time? The result of what you began then is coming into focus, you can see your way clearly.
You are not there yet but you know what steps to take. The full expression of the power of this cycle will be clear in mid-July. Pay attention and contemplate where you have a powerful impact on others and where others are empowering you.
Face your fears and see your strength.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:03 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 8:41 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

KEEP YOUR WITS ABOUT YOU
Saturday, May 12, 2018:
The most important thing to remember on Saturday is to slow down, watch your words, and speak deliberately. The Moon in Aries offers fast, sometimes quite harsh emotions. You may feel edgy and impatient, you also tend to feel invincible. Calm yourself, don’t jump into any potentially dangerous daredevil acts. Physical activity will help but keep your wits about you.
To add to the inevitable thrust of the Aries Moon, Saturday also brings a challenging square aspect from Mercury to Mars. This brings hot restlessness and possibly anger to your thinking. It may be a real challenge to keep yourself out of verbal confrontations. Indeed, there may be injustices that you simply must speak out against on Saturday. Do so but do your best to not provoke others.
Remember to ask yourself repeatedly, before you say a word: is it true, is it necessary, is it kind? Any communication that does not pass that test should not be shared.

MAINTAIN A STABLE HEART
Sunday, May 13, 2018:
Intensity amps up on Sunday as the future presses forward taking a first step process that unfolds next week when Uranus finally enters Taurus.
At 6:50 AM EDT, Mercury, the planet of communication, joins Uranus, the planet of revolutionary change. Then, at 8:40 AM EDT, Mercury enters Taurus, the sign of stability.
The Moon, still in Aries, also joins with Uranus, highlighting wild activity to come, when she enters Taurus at 2:15 PM EDT. Immediately, the Moon joins with Mercury, setting the stage for the New Moon on Tuesday and Uranus’ pushes into Taurus. The revolution is here; in your life, culture, the world. Wake up.
What can you expect to happen to the endurance and dependability of Taurus when defiant, unsettling Uranus begins its seven-year residence here? What area of your personal life and our culture will be revolutionized by this shift? Expect the unexpected. Given that Taurus is ruled by Venus, you can anticipate revolution regarding cultural attitudes toward the Earth, women, money, food, love, and beauty.
Think about the rumbling changes you hear which are still in the background. Think about cryptocurrency, women finally beginning to make progress against the patriarchy, polyamory, the changing food industry, and environmental advancements. Your life and your world are changing. Uranus is the Awakener; watch the news, watch your life.
Maintain a stable heart.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* for eleven whole minutes between 2:04 PM EDT and 2:15 PM EDT, when she enters Taurus. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.

When the Moon enters Pisces on Monday, she joins both the Sun and Neptune. As we approach the solar eclipse on Tuesday, we may be aware of the need to release something precious in order to achieve something deeply significant in our lives. It is true that in many instances we can have everything we desire, and yet, there are times when choices must be made. It is important to pay attention to the sometimes subtle difference between fantasy and reality. Often times, they can be exactly the opposite of what one would expect.
There is much to say about any solar eclipse. On Tuesday, I will send out an article written by my student Noelle Letteri about eclipses. Stay tuned for that communication.

SEEKING CLARITY
Monday, March 7, 2016:
The week begins in the darkest phase of the Moon. In the astronomical world, this is called the Waning Crescent Moon. Astrologically, it is referred to as the Balsamic Moon. Yes, balsamic, like the vinegar.  🙂
Until the Moon enters Pisces, her movement through Aquarius is cheered by a conjunction with Venus at 3:46 AM EST. As you start the day, take a moment to place your awareness on an understanding of the connection between the Moon and Venus. I think of these two as the representation of the two sides of the Divine Feminine. The Moon represents the mother archetype, the deep, warm, and nurturing aspect of the feminine. Venus, on the other hand, represents the sensual, passionate, and playful expression of the feminine. As they join together, we are asked to open our hearts to deep love and connection that draws on both of these powerful aspects.
At 2:08 PM EST, the Moon joins the Sun and Neptune in Pisces. As we move toward the eclipse and New Moon on Tuesday, things may not be as they appear. Neptune and the sign of Pisces can essentially shroud us in fog.
If passive aggressive behavior or anger of any kind arises, be prepared to meet that energy with kindness and compassion. If you are able to do this, the issue at hand will simply dissolve.
Keep in mind that this is an internal issue, there is no victim; face yourself clearly & show compassion.

PISCES NEW MOON & FULL SOLAR ECLIPSE
WELCOME CHANGE
Tuesday, March 8, 2016:
With so much happening on Tuesday, it is hard to know where to begin. At 5:56 AM EST, the Sun opposes Jupiter, asking us to look back to late August 2015. Whatever began in your life at that time, it is now releasing its full creative potential. Consider and give yourself credit for how far you have come.
Tuesday also marks a significant moment in time as we reach the full solar eclipse and the Pisces New Moon occurring at 19° Pisces (8:55 PM EST). A full solar eclipse happens as the Moon comes between our Earth and Sun.
Astrologically, eclipses are considered to bring unexpected changes that push us into much-needed action. Wherever you find 19° Pisces in your chart, it will indicate where you can expect the breaking up of old patterns and major shifting dynamics.
The New Moon is always a time of beginnings; do not underestimate the significance of what you chose to begin at this time. Focus on the area of your life that you know requires the energy of change. To some of you it may seem a bit silly but start to create a New Moon ritual. It can be very simple. Write down on paper what you wish to begin now. What do you want to see increase over the coming months? Have two candles available for your ritual. Light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are today. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you want to create. Each day take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. As you light the second candle, bring the two closer together. At the Full Moon in two weeks, bring them fully together and see the results of what you have created.
Today’s New Moon brings many powerful energies together to support your forward aspirations. The Moon makes contact with Neptune as we bring our awareness to the dream that moves us forward. She then connects with Saturn reminding us that there is hard work involved. Then she connects with Pluto showing us the access we have to deep empowerment. Finally, she makes contact with Jupiter opening our vision to full expansion.

HOW TO DEAL WITH CONFLICT

You should feel some relief on Wednesday morning as the intense energy of Tuesday begins to subside. At 2:40 PM EST, when the Moon enters fiery, assertive Aries, your relief turns into powerful renewed energy for action and accomplishment.
At 4:51 PM EST, with the Aries Moon trine Mars (in Sagittarius); you are ready to take on the world. Please carefully observe and pay close attention to your reactions, as impulsiveness and impatience may result.
If folks you encounter are exhibiting more aggression then you are comfortable with, please show compassion and understanding. This energy is necessary in order to move forward. Obviously, there is a limit to what is okay and what is not. Use your own internal compass to know when to remove yourself from a situation where you or others are a bit too heated up.
A powerful, sexual connection could be a delightful use of this passionate energy. After all, you do know how bonobos (our closest relations) deal with conflict!

ACCEPT WHAT IS YOURS
Thursday, March 10, 2016:
Thursday begins with a continuation of the powerful, assertive energy from Wednesday. Late afternoon offers more steadfastness and calm to that energy as Saturn plays nicely with the Moon at 4:36PM EST.
However, Thursday evening could bring you into emotional situations you may not be prepared to handle. The Aries Moon squares Pluto at 6:02 PM EST and conjunct Uranus at 8:43 PM EST.
Allow plans to change without question, allow others to disappoint you.
Find a way to look inside and accept your feelings. It is important to understand that others may disappoint us without it being a personal issue. Everything is not always about US!
This may well be a very challenging evening but with the Sun conjunct Chiron at 11:26 PM EST, we are given the opportunity to bring warm and healing light to a wound at the depth of our soul. Bask in that warmth and allow deep healing. Sleep soundly.

REST IN QUIET CALM
Friday, March 11, 2016:
Friday begins with our minds fully immersed in creative imagination. Mercury joins with Neptune, beginning its annual cycle of uplifting our minds to a high state of bliss or is it a state of confusion? Intellectual ruminations may call you down Alice’s rabbit hole. I suggest you simply enjoy the ride.
At 2:44 PM EST, the Moon enters Taurus giving us an opportunity to move into a weekend of relaxation and calm. Don’t plan too many wild adventures over the next few days. Your body and mind really need rest.
Time slows down and you can relax into enjoyments of the senses. Get and give a massage, bake bread, plan your upcoming garden, rejuvenate yourself through silence.
This is a night for calm, quiet, deep love and touch, not the passion of Wednesday night. This connection can produce steady warmth and healing for your soul.

DEEP RESERVOIRS OF GREAT LOVE
Saturday, March 12, 2016:
As Venus leaves Aquarius behind at 5:23AM EST, she joins Neptune, Mercury, Chiron, and the Sun, all in Pisces. This is a powerful line-up of planets in the gentle, sensitive sign of Pisces. Your compassion, imagination, and awareness of suffering are expanded at this time. You may long to merge, and even ‘save’ others in a heightened spiritual manner.
With the Moon still in Taurus, this is a wonderful time for the growth of love and affection in any and all relationships. A lovely Earth Grand Trine forms Saturday evening between the Taurus Moon, Pluto, and Jupiter.
Your physical senses and your awareness of the real practical realities of your life are aligned, sensitive, positive, and deeply empowered. Anticipate tapping into deep reservoirs of great love. Breathe in love and build stores of it deep within your soul.

SEEK SOCIAL CONNECTION
Sunday, March 13, 2016:
Sunday begins slowly; you will not be tempted to make any changes to the course of the weekend (as long as you have kept to the program of calm and quiet) until the Moon enters Gemini at 4:04 PM EST.
With the Moon now in chatty, restless Gemini, you have probably fulfilled your need for calm and silence. Now, you will seek social interactions for the late afternoon and evening.
As much as you may need social connections, you may anticipate some stress in relationships. The Moon square Venus and opposing Mars suggests unrest and possible tension. If you spent the majority of the weekend engaged in calm quiet activities, this tension should be relatively easy to manage. Don’t engage with the struggle and it will pass quickly.
