REVISIT YOUR DREAMS

Monday, June 18, 2018:

Monday’s practical Virgo Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to defiant Uranus early Monday morning allowing your emotional self to explore new ideas and ways of getting your needs met.

Later in the afternoon, she forms another sweet trine aspect to level-headed Saturn bringing a touch of reality to the conversation.

With the Moon in Virgo, you will notice yourself drawn toward practical activities. You will want to organize and analyze everything you do. You may have a hard time allowing ‘good-enough’ to be good enough. Don’t allow perfectionism to stop progress. Work on projects and issues that will benefit from paying particular attention to details.

Neptune turns retrograde at 7:27 PM EDT and will remain so until late November. This suggests a need to revisit, explore, and examine your understanding of your deepest imagination, your dreams, and your spirituality.

You will likely sleep through this but just in case: The Leo Moon is VOC* until she enters Virgo at 4:41 AM EDT on Monday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

EXPRESS VULNERABILITY

Tuesday, June 19, 2018:

The Virgo Moon keeps you chugging along doing practical chores and getting things done efficiently throughout the day.

However, during the mid-afternoon, Mercury in sensitive Cancer forms a flowing trine to expansive Jupiter. Conversations may move into unusual depths and the vulnerability expressed may surprise you.

Go with your gut instincts. Listen carefully and trust yourself to know how to respond. Perhaps, you are being called to help someone in deeper need than it appears. If you are the one expressing vulnerability, trust yourself in knowing who to share yourself with. Allow words to open your heart.

GRACE AND DECORUM

Wednesday, June 20, 2018:

Challenges arise with the Sun and Moon at odds (1st Quarter Square phase) at 6:51 AM EDT. It can be difficult to know what action to take but you know it is time to move forward with the understanding you gained since the New Moon last Wednesday.

At 8:30 AM EDT, the Moon enters diplomatic Libra, showing you that the best move forward is to face any issue with dispassionate objectivity. Libra asks that you put cooperation and an attitude of refinement ahead of other considerations. Face internal and external work with grace and decorum.

Since May 20th, the Sun has been in inquisitive, curious, fast-talking Gemini. Enjoy this one last day of Gemini. Thursday morning at 6:07 AM EDT the life-giving Sun enters nurturing, inward Cancer.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:51 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 8:30 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS CANCER – PROTECTIVE MAMA BEAR

Thursday, June 21, 2018:

At 6:07 AM EDT, the Sun enters the intuitive, domestic sign of Cancer. I want to take this opportunity to clear up a misunderstanding I often see expressed about Cancer. Everyone seems to know that Cancer is sensitive, nurturing, and tender. However, many folks seem to conflate sensitivity with weakness. Please, make no mistake, Cancer is a powerful sign in its own right! Think the nurturing mother bear! Don’t ever mess with Cancer assuming she will not strike back!

While the Sun is in Cancer, you may feel more insular as your attention is drawn inward to your domestic life. Your focus turns to build deep roots and a sense of belonging.

Thursday starts the Cancer season with some clear challenges as an opposition forms between Venus and Mars. It may be hard to appreciate what you have as you keep looking over your shoulder for what you think you would prefer.

Even the cooperative Libra Moon isn’t in the best state to help the situation as she forms hard aspects with Mercury and Pluto. Watch your words and tendency to get hot under the collar. Remember, before you speak ask yourself three things: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If everything that comes out of your mouth passes that test, you will do fine!

This is unlikely to have much impact on Thursday but the Libra Moon is VOC* after 9:34 PM EDT Friday morning. She will be VOC* until 3:11 PM EDT on Friday when she will enter Scorpio. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A QUIET DAY FOR CONTEMPLATION

Friday, June 22, 2018:

The Libra Moon is very quiet throughout the day being VOC* until entering Scorpio at 3:11 PM EDT. This is a good day to avoid making decisions or starting new projects, it is a good day for rest, meditation, dreaming, or enjoying vacation.

Once the Moon enters Scorpio, the reset button is hit and you can move forward more easily. You will be called to seek intensity, passion, and deep emotions of all kinds. You have a strong belief that knowledge is power, therefore, you are highly motivated to find out what makes people or situations ‘tick’.

Friday evening is underscored by the Moon opposing Uranus, exposing not only what is intense, deep, and hidden but also what is unusual or eccentric in some way. When the intense and the unusual come together, they always dig up something of interest. Keep your eyes open and enjoy.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Scorpio at 3:11 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

IS IT TRUE? IS IT NECESSARY? IS IT KIND?

Saturday, June 23, 2018:

You can anticipate waking on Saturday still in the throes of the Sun sextile Uranus. You may carry the intensity of unusual family-centered dreams with you into the morning.

Unfortunately, the quirkiness and possible fun of that transit will likely be overshadowed by Mercury opposing Pluto at 5:26 AM EDT. Try to sleep late and then spend time alone with your thoughts and ideas. Mercury and Pluto can be used in deep contemplation, reading, and writing.

Don’t try to have significant or sensitive conversations, particularly with family members today. It would be too easy to end up in difficult power dynamics with things being said that are best left unsaid.

Once again, remember, before you speak ask yourself three things: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Make sure all that you say on Saturday passes that test.

When the intense Scorpio Moon joins with joyful Jupiter at 5:11 PM EDT, you can let down your guard a bit and make connections that can end in a lovely nighttime of dreamy connection when Moon trines whimsical Neptune at 10:23 PM EDT.

UNDER THE SURFACE

Sunday, June 24, 2018:

Sunday is by far the easier day of the weekend. The deeply profound Scorpio Moon makes nice contact with Pluto and Mercury, encouraging any deep work necessary to sooth any ruffled feathers from Saturday.

After 10:00 AM EDT, we enter another long VOC Moon allowing time to simply be with all that has occurred over the weekend. Rest, relax, allow yourself to have no agenda or expectations.

With the Moon in Scorpio, this relaxation is not light and airy, there is a depth that you may go to as you focus your mind and allow emotions to bubble to the surface. Under that surface, there is much transformation and powerful healing work occurring. For now, just rest and allow it to work its magic under the surface.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:00 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius early Monday morning (12:30 AM EDT). When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”
~ Dane Rudhyar, Astrological Aspects – a Process Oriented Approach, 1980.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

When the planets gather in the early and the late degrees of their respective signs with none in the middle degrees, we can encounter very long periods of the Moon being Void of Course. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

This week we have several unusually long VOC* Moon periods; on Monday we have five hours, Wednesday she will be VOC* the entire day (actually more than 24 hours) and Saturday she is void very nearly the entire day!

Take this as a suggestion for lowering your demands on yourself and others; go ahead and take some downtime, get caught up on mundane tasks.

Friday and Saturday will be dominated by a beautiful Grand Water Trine involving lovely Venus, expansive Jupiter, and dreamy Neptune. These will be perfect days for love, romance, compassion, nurturing, and kindness.

ENJOY THE PLAN

Monday, May 28, 2018:

With the Moon in Scorpio on Monday, you will want to reach deep into your emotions. Take a personal risk by looking into your own dark emotional closet. Tell a secret or ferret one out. Show yourself to be deeply understanding, trustworthy, and a true friend. Keep a secret; respect the privacy of others.

At 1:26 PM EDT, with the Moon opposing Mercury, you may find yourself drawn into an argument that has no winner. Let it go. Don’t engage. It is a passing issue that will be soon forgotten if you don’t allow yourself to get wrapped up in whatever the issue is. Release. Breathe.

At 6:29 PM EDT, the Moon enters Sagittarius, offering an evening with more lightness and the potential for fun, engagement, and planning. Sit down with a partner or friend after dinner and plan your summer vacation or a long weekend away. The planning can be nearly as much fun as the event itself.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:26 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 6:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON – CELEBRATE AN OPEN MIND

Tuesday, May 29, 2018:

Tuesday’s Sagittarius Full Moon occurs at 10:20 AM EDT. Full Moons happen when the Sun is in the opposite position from the Moon. This highlights your ability to see both sides of a situation. Clarity is the name of the game. Your circumstances, for good or ill, come into sharp focus during a Full Moon. Your emotions are highlighted and awareness is heightened.

Think back to the New Moon on May 15th. What did you begin, what seed did you plant at that time? How has that seed grown? Where has it brought you? Any goals you set at the New Moon can now be adjusted as you are able to see the situation more clearly. The illumination of the Full Moon will stay with you for several days.

At 7:48 PM EDT, Mercury (the planet of communication and your thought processes) leaves the sweet stability of Taurus behind to enter chatty, restless Gemini. Mercury is delighted to be in Gemini and will spend the coming weeks gathering information and bring sharp focus to your mind. Consider what house Gemini resides in your chart to get an idea of what your mind will be busy with over the coming weeks.

EXPLORE, DREAM, PRAY

Wednesday, May 30, 2018:

The predominant feature of Wednesday is the fact that the Sagittarius Moon is VOC* for the entire day! We encounter a VOC* Moon every two to three days, lasting anywhere from a few seconds to well over twenty-four hours, depending on the position of the other planets. VOC* stands for Void Of Course; not, of course, it is void, but it is Void of its Course.

The VOC* Moon begins when the transiting Moon forms its final major aspect in one sign of the zodiac and remains VOC* until it enters the next sign. These periods of time are best utilized in spiritual or nonmaterial concerns; rest, rejuvenate, play, pray, meditate, or simply BE!

Don’t make decisions or begin projects that you have high expectations of or any expectations of. During VOC* Moon times, you simply don’t have a full grasp of the reality of a given situation.

Spend Wednesday getting caught up on mundane tasks or better yet, with the Moon in exploration loving Sagittarius, take a walk, dream, wonder, or pray.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:26 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn on Thursday morning at 5:27 AM EDT. This is a VERY LONG VOC* Moon. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead? Let Astrolore help you see your life and your path forward from a perspective that will change everything.

ACCOMPLISHMENT AND INNOVATION

Thursday, May 31, 2018:

Following Wednesday’s lack of accomplishment and impracticality, Thursday brings you back to the table and sets you on solid and ambitious ground. By the time you wake up on Thursday morning, the Moon has entered authoritative, hard-working Capricorn and you are ready to tackle your most realistic goals once again.

As the Moon trine Uranus at 7:02 AM EDT, you are able to find excitement and view your circumstances or projects from an unusual perspective; you are able to see innovative solutions to serious problems.

At 8:53 PM EDT, the authoritative Capricorn Moon joins with serious Saturn; you may find yourself embroiled in difficult conversations or even disciplinary necessities within your home or family. Regardless of the infractions or hard edges you feel, practice understanding, compassion, and kindness in all family matters. Gather information, ask questions, and listen with an open mind and heart.

EXPRESS INNOVATION – EXPAND BEAUTY

Friday, June 1, 2018:

You can anticipate great delight in getting your point across on Friday morning Conversations abound and direct communications flow easily with a trine aspect from Mercury to Mars. With Mercury in its home sign of chatty Gemini and Mars in innovative Aquarius, your ideas will stretch you into an exciting future. You are able to express your most innovative and interesting ideas and have those ideas received with ease.

At nearly the same time, Venus trine Jupiter supports the expansion of those conversations and the development of something of real solid value from them. Are you using your forward thinking to develop something of beauty and something that will support your life with practical, real-world results? You are able to see the possibilities fully.

Friday is a powerful day leading into a delightful weekend. Of course, there may be some bumps along the way but all-in-all, with a Grand Trine being formed between Venus, Jupiter, and Neptune, allow yourself to dream big and see the beauty that exists in your life.

DELIGHT IN SWEET SENSUALITY

Saturday, June 2, 2018:

The lovely and powerful Grand Trine that began to draw around us on Friday continues and strengthens on Saturday. Before you arise from the warmth of sleep, Venus has formed a flowing trine aspect to Neptune. You can expect to start the day with a sense of bliss and love. This is a lovely morning for romance. Go out to brunch or better yet have coffee and breakfast in bed. If your love is at your side enjoy cuddling and connection; if you are alone enjoy and delight in your own sweet sensuality.

At 6:07 PM EDT, with the Moon’s movement into objective Aquarius you may notice yourself or your partner pull away; do not take it personally. Perhaps there has been a bit too much sweetness and now you need a bit of autonomy. Widen your interest, look to a more expansive or humanitarian perspective.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from Friday at 11:37 PM EDT until she enters the Aquarius at 6:07 PM EDT. This is ANOTHER VERY LONG VOC* Moon. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PIVOT IN A NEW DIRECTION

Sunday, June 3, 2018:

Get up early on Sunday morning to connect with friends and engage in unusual social interactions. This is a great day to meet up with new friends, or people who you have political or social commonalities with. Don’t fall back on brunch with the same standby crew of friends. This is the time to seek out new ideas and people with different worldviews to expand your own.

You are curious and interested in seeing the same old situations in a new light and from a different perspective. Ask questions, see if you can open your mind to thoughts you have never understood before. Your mind is sharp and it will open to new patterns that can pivot your life forward.

KEEP YOUR HEART ENGAGED

Monday, April 2, 2018:

Monday follows on the heels of a difficult Full Moon, given the Cardinal T-square formed by the Sun and Moon to both Saturn and Mars.

On Monday, the conjunction of Mars to Saturn perfects, offering you a few days to work your way from a deep feeling of inadequacy to hardcore determination. Indeed, there are two sides to this conjunction. You may feel overwhelmed by too much work and effort being demanded of you or you may feel ready to face any obstacle that stands in your way. You may want to simply take the bull by the horns and do what needs to be done through sheer determination and hard work.

However, in every action that you take, remain aware of the impact your actions have on others. It is important that sensitivity and kindness be included in all your work endeavors. It may not be easy but with both assertive Mars and duty-driven Saturn in business oriented, restrictive Capricorn, keep your heart engaged and love on tap.

The Scorpio Moon makes lovely aspects throughout the day helping to keep any stress in perspective.

GROWTH AND CHANGE

Tuesday, April 3, 2018:

Tuesday morning brings a few sweet aspects from the deeply intense Scorpio Moon to Pluto and Jupiter. You feel moved to explore issues of lasting change and growth in your life. With no other planetary aspects to pull your attention away from the areas of your life that you know require change, these deep issues will simmer within your heart throughout the day.

Whenever the Moon is in Scorpio, you know that there will be issues of intensity to manage. You may experience this intensity in the realm of desire, passion, sorrow, or suffering. Nothing will feel impersonal or superficial.

Look deeply at your own power and consider what is required to eliminate old habits and limiting fears. Avoid tendencies to control others through manipulative tactics and if you find yourself full of suspicion, it may well be unwarranted. Wait before making solid determinations.

WATCH YOUR WORDS AND RESPONSES

Wednesday, April 4, 2018:

By the time Wednesday begins, the Moon has entered explorative Sagittarius bringing a bit of levity to the table. Unfortunately, that levity is countered by a cranky square between aggressive Mars and retrograde Mercury. Be careful of your conversations, take time to consider how you are experienced and heard by others.

This aspect may also feel like a common conflict between those things you would like to spend the day on and the responsibilities that call. I wonder how many folks skip work on days like this? Go to work; you are going to feel the conflict anyway so you might as well not waste it on a day off. Just watch your words and your reactions to the words of others.

The evening allows for more productive conversations with a trine between the Moon and Mercury at 8:52 PM EDT. Take advantage of this as Thursday does not allow us to get back to a lighter easier space.

STABILIZE COMMITMENT

Thursday, April 5, 2018:

You can probably anticipate an early-morning argument on Thursday. It could be an actual argument with another person over the breakfast table or it could be an internal struggle with yourself. In the wee hours of the morning, Mercury, the planet of the thinking mind, already somewhat out of sorts in her retrograde motion, forms a challenging square aspect to restrictive Saturn.

The day can only get better from there, and it does!

At 9:36 AM EDT, Venus forms a trine aspect to Saturn, settling and stabilizing your jagged energies following the early morning struggle. You may find yourself more interested in outwardly accepting or acknowledging a commitment that is already solid in your heart.

For the rest of the day, you should be in relatively high spirits feeling seen and appreciated in the world at large.

Remember, that the Moon is in exuberant Sagittarius throughout the day. In your interactions with others, keep your spirits as buoyant as possible and share the good stuff around. 😉

A QUIET EVENING IN

Friday, April 6, 2018:

Friday brings with it a bit of morning excitement or defiance as the extravagant Sagittarius Moon makes contact with Uranus (9:35 AM EDT). You may find yourself feeling inspired or simply unsettled. Roll with it; it will pass quickly. Once that energy settles down, the rest of the morning and early afternoon should be quiet and uneventful.

At 2:02 PM EDT, the Moon enters conventionally ambitious Capricorn. The sign the Moon is in says much about how we experience the ‘feel’ of the day. This may not be what you were expecting or hoping for on a Friday evening. Perhaps, you were anticipating a fun night with friends dancing or otherwise socializing. If you try to enact that plan, you may find yourself wishing you had stayed home or chosen a quieter way to spend the evening.

Make a plan to accomplish something that takes solitary effort and focus for the upcoming weekend. If you wake up on Saturday morning with a plan, the whole weekend will be vastly improved.

CONQUER A SERIOUS PROJECT

Saturday, April 7, 2018:

Make sure that you have a plan for Saturday. The morning will go so much better if you know exactly what you plan to accomplish. This is otherwise not an easy day. The Moon is moving through Capricorn (while highlighting the difficult connection between Mars & Saturn) and this transit can be used for accomplishment and discipline as long as you have a focus. Without a focus, it will be easy to fall into worry, pessimism, fear, and narrow-mindedness.

Luckily, Venus forms a supportive trine aspect to Saturn on Saturday as well. This will support the focused projects nicely and allow you to feel better at the end of the day.

Do you still need to do or finish your taxes? This is the weekend to get that done. If that is not still hanging over your head, plan a project that requires solitary focus and productivity. You will enjoy the weekend much more if you spend it alone with a focus than if you try to engage in social interactions.

Your most challenging task on Saturday will be to find balance and perspective. If you are not able to be on your own for the day, remember to show as much kindness as you can muster. We will all need a healthy dose of self-care and kindness.

OFFER KINDNESS AND RESPECT

Sunday, April 8, 2018:

Sunday doesn’t offer much of a reprieve on the challenges of the weekend. In the wee hours of the morning, the authoritative Capricorn Moon forms a difficult square aspect to the forceful Aries Sun. You may simply feel your style being cramped and what you want isn’t easily available.

You will do well to prepare to stay focused on the project at hand, work is your best bet at this time. Work to stay serious, keep your eye on reality, and stay balanced and steady.

Again, it isn’t easy but offer everyone you encounter kindness and respect.

KEEP CALM AND UNRUFFLED

Monday, February 5, 2018:

When you went to sleep on Sunday night, you may have anticipated beginning the week with diplomacy and calm. However, although the Moon continues her path through charming, social Libra, even she has her limits.

With an early-morning struggle against power hungry Pluto and a mid-afternoon challenge with defiant Uranus, Monday’s story will have elements of the bizarre and the unconventional. Watch for power plays and anti-establishment rhetoric.

This will be a good day to practice maintaining a steady level of internal peace and harmony. Remain unflustered and unruffled even as you keep your eyes wide open to your environment and those around you.

At 10:57 PM EST, the Moon enters the deep, intensely private waters of Scorpio. Head to bed, this is a wonderful night for passion between the sheets and, if that is not forthcoming, seek passion and intrigue in a deeply intense dream state.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:45 PM EST until she enters Scorpio at 10:57 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

UNEXPECTED POSSIBILITIES

Tuesday, February 6, 2018:

Tuesday is a very different day from Monday! First off, with the Moon now in Scorpio, it is less important to you that you please others. Your focus is more on internal depth and intensity. When the Moon is in Scorpio, we can oftentimes become brooding and secretive. However, as the day turns into evening, you may be surprised by unexpected connections or shifting relationship values reflected in a sextile aspect from Venus to Uranus.

Think back to early June of 2017 when the cycle between Venus and Uranus began. Did you meet someone at that time that has remained a part of your life or did you begin the development of a creative project? This is a cycle of waking up to new understanding, a new view of your deepest values, seeing what is real beneath the surface of love, resources, or beauty.

At this time, it is important to explore what you have learned since the beginning of the Venus and Uranus cycle. It is time to prepare to release and begin the next new cycle in late March of this year.

If you meet someone during the first few days of this week that opens your eyes with curiosity, understand that they may have something important to teach you regarding love or beauty. Don’t walk away. This meeting may provide an opportunity that will take root in March.

ALLOW PARADOX

Wednesday, February 7, 2018:

Wednesday morning brings us to the First Quarter Lunar Phase, a challenging square aspect between the Aquarius Sun and the Scorpio Moon. This suggests a choice between going into deep emotional spaces (Scorpio) or staying in the intellectually stimulating but emotionally detached coolness of Aquarius.

Feeling pulled in these two directions may be uncomfortable but your job is to find the balance and allow each to be expressed. Allowing paradox to exist in your heart, mind, and life expression is key to a full and joyful life. This morning offers time to practice.

However, at 1:15 PM EST, when the deeply private Scorpio Moon forms a sextile to empowered Pluto, there is value in moving into areas of depth and mysterious intensity.

At 4:57 PM EST, the Moon joins with expansive Jupiter, beginning a cycle of expanding your understanding of emotion through deep introspection and passion. Go deep or go home.

SEEKING WISDOM

Thursday, February 8, 2018:

At 8:54 AM EST, the Moon enters Sagittarius, a mutable Fire Sign. Fire brings great energy, determination, and the ability to move forward; the mutable part of the sign allows for change and adaptability.

With the Moon in Sagittarius, you want to understand more than you have understood in the past. This shows you are ready to expand your ability to see a larger view of your life, your culture, and your world. You may be drawn to explorations of other cultures and how other people think, believe, and live. You find yourself on an adventure, exploring your higher levels of understanding as you develop wisdom.

Thursday also brings us to Uranus moving beyond a 5° orb of its square to Pluto. These two ‘big kids’ on the playing field have been dancing around with this challenging square aspect between them since 2009. The conversations they have engaged in have had a powerful impact on the world culture.

Together, Uranus and Pluto speak of revolution, upheaval and profound change. We are ready to turn a corner on that conversation and begin to truly assimilate the shift in the greater world as well as our personal lives. Let’s see how that works out.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:17 AM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 8:54 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CONSIDER A ROAD TRIP

Friday, February 9, 2018:

The Moon continues through Sagittarius on Friday, increasing your anticipation of the weekend. Your thoughts race forward; go ahead and plan an adventure for Friday evening and through Saturday! Please allow those plans to land you home for a more serious day on Sunday.

When the Moon squares Neptune at 11:04 AM EST, you may find yourself at a low point in the day. Clear thinking will not be available, so take a meditation break or go for a walk. Allow yourself space to be unproductive and trust it to pass.

At 3:33 PM EST, with the Moon now forming a sextile aspect to Mercury, mental clarity returns and you are able to get much more done that if you tried to power through the earlier part of the day.

Enjoy an adventure on Friday evening. Spend time with folks who are outside of your normal social circle. Learn about perspectives that are unlike your own. Go on a road trip or at least travel in your heart and mind.

ALLOW THE INCREASE OF LOVE

Saturday, February 10, 2018:

The Moon spends most of the day still in lighthearted, idealistic Sagittarius. At 11:38 AM EST, with the Moon forming a trine aspect to defiant, inspirational Uranus, this will be a lovely morning for brunch with friends. Meet with friends who will engage you in interesting, expansive conversations about thoughts and ideas. Don’t spend time with folks who gossip or bring you down.

If your love connections have felt a bit cool or more intellectual than heartfelt, Saturday will change that. At 6:19 PM EST, Venus enters the soft, compassionate, and deeply sensitive sign of Pisces, where she will remain until March 6th. This is a great time for romance, although not great for starting relationships as you may not get a realistic view of the person in question.

A square aspect from the quirky Aquarius Sun to Jupiter in Scorpio at 6:20 PM EST should serve to alert you to pay attention to your tendency to overextend yourself.

Remember, that self-care is paramount and overextending yourself to please others will not serve you. A cycle of expansion that began in late October 2017 requires attention now. What action can you take to support what began then? Take action to increase your understanding and belief of who you are in this world, on this planet, in this universe. Send unconditional love to all.

If you were hoping for an exciting Saturday night, you may want to reassess your expectations. The Moon enters serious, levelheaded, determined Capricorn at 9:21 PM EST. Saturday evening will be a good time to engage in conversations regarding the serious structures and foundations you want to build to support your plans for the future.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 11:38 AM EST until she enters Capricorn at 9:21 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SOLITARY ACCOMPLISHMENT

Sunday, February 11, 2018:

Sunday brings us to quiet but serious day. At 9:17 AM EST, the hard-working Capricorn Moon joins with Saturn (the planet that rules Capricorn).

This is not a day to laze around the house to watch movies or read novels, it is not a day to go out and have boisterous fun with friends. This is a day to engage in a project that will leave you feeling accomplished at the end of the day.

Is there a house project you have been putting off? Is there something you want to build for future use? You will enjoy the project best if it is a solitary endeavor, not a shared experience. Spend time alone.

At the end of the day, look at what you have accomplished and give yourself a pat on the back before ending the week.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

“For most of life, nothing wonderful happens. If you don’t enjoy getting up and working and finishing your work and sitting down to a meal with family or friends, then the chances are you’re not going to be very happy. If someone bases his/her happiness on major events like a great job, huge amounts of money, a flawlessly happy marriage or a trip to Paris, that person isn’t going to be happy much of the time. If, on the other hand, happiness depends on a good breakfast, flowers in the yard, a drink or a nap, then we are more likely to live with quite a bit of happiness.” ~ Andy Rooney

SUPER SENSITIVE CANCER FULL MOON

Monday, January 1, 2018:

The year begins with the focus squarely on family and emotional security with the Full Moon at 11° Cancer. If you are not able to be with biological family, make sure you are engaged in connections with others that have a similar familial quality.

You may notice yourself unusually interested in creating or deepening powerful loving bonds. Family bonds are not easy and require work to be supportive and provide the safety you are looking for. Do not shy away from the necessary effort.

This sensitive Cancer Moon has serious conversations with Saturn, Venus, and the Sun, suggesting the work and effort bring what is necessary into focus.

The evening brings a lovely Neptunian dreamy quality that helps you to release the seriousness of the early part of the day and engage in loving dreams of the future.

PROFOUND CHANGE MOVES FORWARD

Tuesday, January 2, 2018:

As the Capricorn Sun inches closer to powerful Pluto, we feel the intensity of the year ahead. Love and compassion may not come easily with the Full Moon opposing Saturn, Venus, and the Sun but are much required going forward.

The serious Capricorn Sun forms a sweet sextile aspect to Neptune early in the day, allowing the possibility of making contact with a mystical or imaginative side of yourself. This will be a great day to work on any project that fully engages your creativity and the softer side of your imagination. Perhaps, it is time to re-engage your meditation practice, yoga practice, writing practice, or any other daily practice that puts you in the presence of your own divinity.

Uranus turns direct at 24° Aries after being retrograde since August 3, 2017. If you have planets between 22° and 24° Aries, you can expect excitement, unexpected news or upheaval. Something has been on hold since August that will now move forward, shifting your life along with the direct motion.

If you were born between April 11 -14, July 14 – 17, October 15 – 18, or January 12 – 15, your Sun is being affected. As much as possible, go with the flow that presents itself and do not fight against the change that is in front of you. This is a major life transformation that takes at least a year to navigate. Your best life is on the other side of this transit. A full consultation will help you understand how to go with the flow involved and avoid the fear-based tendency to fight against it. Please contact me.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:46 PM EST until she enters Leo at 2:23 AM EST on Wednesday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ROMANCE AND FLOWERS

Wednesday, January 3, 2018:

By the time the day begins on Wednesday, the Moon leaves the sensitivity of Cancer behind to enter Leo, where she encourages you to express yourself unabashedly through play, generosity, and creativity.

At 12:38 PM EST, comfort-seeking Venus forms a lovely sextile aspect to Neptune, the planet of romance and mysticism. This aspect mirrors the transit between the Sun and Neptune that occurred on Tuesday. Again, you are encouraged to make contact with a very sensitive, perhaps deeply spiritual side of yourself.

You are also reminded to re-engage any daily practices in your life that you have been neglecting through this holiday season. Get back on the meditation cushion, yoga mat, get back into nature, or open your writing journal once again.

This is a great day to shop for clothes or other items of decoration for yourself or your home, as your sense of beauty is highly engaged.

When Venus and Neptune dance together, they also encourage romance, love, desire, and sensitivity.

You deserve flowers on the table and a candlelit meal with a loved one or even on your own.

GIVE OF YOURSELF THROUGH PLAY

Thursday, January 4, 2018:

Thursday’s Leo Moon encourages warmth, generosity, and full undiluted expression of your most authentic self. From another perspective, you (or those around you) could possibly get stuck in arrogance and easily hurt feelings. If you focus on what you can offer others, rather than what you can get for yourself, this will be a fun day with lots of potential excitement and unusual conversations.

The optimistic Leo Moon forms a Grand Trine to communicative Mercury and humanitarian, quirky Uranus in the evening. Creative social activities can prove highly positive. Your feeling nature may seem a bit over the top as your dramatic nature is apt to reveal itself with grand feelings and gestures.

Enjoy fun times with folks that appreciate you for your most unique wild side. If you have children in your life… take them sledding or find some way to engage on their level. Give of yourself through play.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:10 PM EST until she enters Virgo at 3:11 AM EST on Friday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

NOTICE THE DETAILS

Friday, January 5, 2018:

Friday begins with the Moon in diligent, self-contained Virgo. The unabashed self-expression of the past few days brings you up against the need to become more competent and to pay more attention to details.

If you pay attention, you will realize how much easier it is while the Moon is in Virgo to take on a serious endeavor that requires efficiency and putting your nose to the grindstone.

The Virgo Moon will bring you face to face with your inner perfectionist and critic. Be aware of your tendency to expect more from others that they may be capable of. If you express expectations that someone is unable to deliver, you may inadvertently push them into old spaces of guilt, shame, and critical self-judgment.

Be kind to yourself and others. It is more important now than you realize. Please be kind.

INNOVATIVE IDEAS MEET EXPANSIVE GROWTH

Saturday, January 6, 2018:

Two significant aspects occur on Saturday that has a wider range of impact than a simple moon transit. At 6:38 PM EST, Mercury (the planet of mind) forms a flowing trine aspect to Uranus. This suggests delightful and innovative thinking, communications, and ideas. Watch for unexpected epiphanies, unusual, or exciting communications, and unique progressive thoughts.

In May of 2017, Uranus and Mercury joined together, beginning a cycle of creative and innovative thinking. In October, there was likely a result of that new way of thinking or communicating. Try to identify what occurred in May, what was revealed about it in October, and now needs to be expressed to others. What have you learned that can be beneficially shared with others?

Perhaps, this is the time to create that podcast or blog that you’ve been thinking about? Perhaps, it is time to allow someone to understand your mind in a new way; to create a new form or method of communication? In some way, it is time to reveal your progressive thinking in a public way.

Also, dynamic Mars conjoins with expansive Jupiter at 17° Scorpio, beginning a cycle of assertive growth, courageous generosity, or frustrated idealism. If you were born between November 7-10, February 3-6, May 5-8, or August 7-10, this will have a powerful personal impact on you. Set an intention to courageously expand your personal reach toward self-growth. This is a significant year for you to reach beyond the places you have been stuck. Contact me – let’s talk.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:51 PM EST until she enters Libra on Saturday morning at 7:14 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

BRING BEAUTY INTO YOUR LIFE

Sunday, January 7, 2018:

With the Moon passing through cooperative, graceful Libra on Sunday, your focus will be on creating order through diplomacy and pleasing interactions with others. You will also want to create a beautiful environment within which those interactions can occur. You are more able than usual to set aside your own agenda in order to avoid confrontations and achieve the peace you long for.

It may be difficult to make clear decisions without the input of others as you do not want to lose the approval of those around you. This is a good day to engage in cooperative activities that require teamwork.

You may hit a snag when the Moon squares Saturn at 11:09 AM EST. Stay with it, work your way through that snag in order to learn a great deal about yourself and your ability to work constructively with others.

Create beauty in your home and your relationships; spend time creating art or visiting a museum. It will be deeply soothing to bring as much beauty into your life as possible.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Libra at 7:14 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.
