EVENING SURPRISES

Monday, July 2, 2018:

Monday begins with a quietly quirky VOC* Aquarius Moon. There’s no need to hurry into this week and attempting to do so will simply leave you frustrated and feeling bad about yourself. Allow quiet and slowness to lead the way.

At 1:31 PM EDT, the Moon enters mystical, poetic Pisces. If you could take today off from work and simply rest, that would be the best use of this day.

At 5:39 PM EDT, the dreamy Pisces Moon forms a sextile aspect to Uranus. You may finally be ready to engage with others and with the world in general. Your dreams and ideals may be sharp, brilliant, and unusual, leading you into fascinating, forward-thinking conversations.

Bring as many people as possible together to share in your new ideas and listen to the ideas they are willing to share as well. Enjoy the evening’s surprises.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspect made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) all morning until she enters Pisces at 1:31 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

LISTEN TO THE TREES SING

Tuesday, July 3, 2018:

Here, in the U.S, with tomorrow being our Independence Day, perhaps you were able to take today off as well. It seems a shame to waste such a sweet and dreamy day at a job unless of course, you are lucky enough (as I am) to do work you truly love.

The Moon is in Pisces throughout the day, forming a lovely Grand Trine with the sensitive Cancer Sun and Jupiter in powerful Scorpio. This configuration offers the opportunity to block out the parts of our lives that are overwhelmingly difficult and simply enjoy the sweetness that is also present in each day.

Go for a walk in nature and open your eyes and your heart to the natural world. Have you listened recently to the trees sing?

MAINTAIN EASE

Wednesday, July 4, 2018:

These first few days of the week are relatively easy ones. Clearly, that depends on how some of the heavier planets are impacting you directly. We certainly can’t forget that Mars (retrograde in Aquarius) will reach a state of considerable difficulty on Thursday. You may feel the energy of agitation building throughout Wednesday.

The Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow and perhaps even let challenges bypass you altogether. Thursday is soon enough to deal with what is poking at you! Does it feel like a pebble in your shoe that you can’t stop long enough to remove?
For now, spend the day with your rose-colored glasses firmly affixed.

Here in the U.S., this is a holiday, perhaps you are with family and friends. If you feel anger, impatience, or frustration building, take time for meditation or go ahead and have that extra glass of wine. Whatever it takes to help you to maintain ease.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 5:47 AM EDT until she enters Aries in the wee hours of Thursday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

SLOW DOWN

Thursday, July 5, 2018:

If you had Wednesday off from work for the July 4th holiday, it may actually be a relief to get back to your desk on Thursday. Thursday morning brings the assertive Aries Moon along with a hard aspect between Mercury and retrograde Mars. Find a way to release energy that will not come back to bite you.

You may feel angry and have a difficult time controlling your desire to speak your mind with little or no tact. Watch the words and the tone of what needs to be said. Perhaps, writing your thoughts (pause & think before hitting the ‘Send’ button) will help to organize your thinking and make clear what needs to be said.

There is a tendency to blurt out immediately what comes to mind. Hold on and wait or go for a run and release physical energy. That will help.

Remember, before you speak, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If you follow this, very little will be said and you will get through the day with your relationships intact.

SEEK COURAGE

Friday, July 6, 2018:

Friday brings us to the 3rd Quarter Moon phase with the sensitive Cancer Sun being challenged by the aggressive Moon in Aries. Where are you feeling pulled to move forward with more courage than you feel you have? Where is your distrust of your own strength holding you back?

At 2:55 PM EDT, with the take-charge Aries Moon squaring powerful Pluto, you are given the opportunity or the expectation to dig deeply into hidden corners of your psyche. Find a level of courage you are not accustomed to working with. Take a step forward, face your fears, and let go of something that has been holding you in a position of victimhood. Freedom exists on the other side.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

SLEEP OUTDOORS

Saturday, July 7, 2018:

Try to sleep until the Moon enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT on Saturday morning and approach the day with a perspective of slow, sensual awareness. Enjoy cuddling with your partner, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and a walk in nature.

When the Moon joins with Uranus at 12:46 PM EDT, you may have a new surprising awareness regarding your relationship or what the natural world has to teach you. Try to absorb this awareness without moving too quickly.

At 5:59 PM EDT, when the steady Taurus Moon trines Saturn, stabilize those ideas and consciously bring kindness to all in your circle of influence. Saturday provides a great evening for small, intimate gatherings or quiet time with a deeply loved partner. Given that it is a summer Saturday night, sleeping outdoors would be a lovely adventure.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 3:09 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

COMPASSION, IMAGINATION, & LOVE

Sunday, July 8, 2018:

A lovely Sunday in the forecast and it’s perfect for a day for the beach, time in nature, or if the weather doesn’t cooperate, an afternoon matinee.

At 10:41 AM EDT, the Sun forms a flowing trine aspect to Neptune, allowing you an open-hearted and compassionate view of your life and circumstances.

In considering the full cycle of the Sun and Neptune, a cycle of dreamy, inspirational growth, think about what inspiration began in the first week of March of 2018 and also required attention in the first week of June. Now, the path opens allowing flow that will bring you to an open illumination and spiritual understanding in early September.

Follow the path of compassion, imagination, and love. You can smile internally as your understanding of oneness grows.

HOLD YOUR LOVED ONES CLOSE

Monday, December 4, 2017:

This week begins with the Moon in rational, talkative Gemini. With early morning positive aspects to excitable Uranus and impulsive Mars, you can anticipate an active day.

By early afternoon, the emotional Moon begins talking with both authoritative Saturn and logical Mercury, reminding you that it is your responsibility to deal with the hard wall that you have probably hit over the past few days.

Mercury just turned retrograde and joined with restrictive Saturn, just as Saturn is about to make a major move into rigid, serious Capricorn on December 20th. Our lives

Mädchen in Winterlandschaft by Albert Anker via Wiki Media

are about to get serious in a whole new way. Each of us will need to look clearly at our own issues of responsibility, maturity, and duty.  The heavy hand of reality is demanding its due over the coming months. The best thing for each of us is to take responsibility for our actions and approach each situation and circumstance in our lives with the very highest integrity even as we keep our hearts open to love.

At 3:36 PM EST, with the Moon entering Cancer, there can be a tendency to feel the need to protect oneself. Vulnerability can be scary. Don’t let it stop you from opening your heart and holding your loved ones and your family close.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:12 PM EST until she enters Cancer at 3:36 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SWEETNESS GIVES WAY TO POWER DYNAMICS

Tuesday, December 5, 2017:

Tuesday brings powerful connections allowing deep emotional states of expanded awareness. In the morning hours, the sensitive Cancer Moon forms a lovely, flowing Grand Water Trine to dreamy Neptune (in Pisces) and expansive Jupiter (in Scorpio).  You may step into the day with big, dreamy emotions. Allow love and connection, nurturing and kindness to rule the day.

Either go to bed early or pay careful attention to the power dynamics within your family to avoid the struggles that may crop up as the moody Cancer Moon opposes subversive Pluto at 8:06 PM EST.

The sweetness of the early part of the day will be difficult to hold onto.

EXPLORE FUTURE SELF-DETERMINATION

Wednesday, December 6, 2017:

Untitled by Caspar Wolf via Wiki Media

Wednesday begins with your attention clearly directed to the challenging wall that seems to stand in the way between you and what you are seeking to accomplish. Do not try to tear that wall down or scrape your knees trying to climb over it. Take the Universe’s direction to slow down.

Remember, Mercury is retrograde until December 22nd and Saturn is about to enter serious, authoritative Capricorn. You must take full responsibility, speak directly with integrity, and accept the fact that this particular wall cannot be scaled at this time.

A “No” today is not a “No” forever. Something needs to be learned or improved before you can move forward. Settle into the acceptance of reality.

At 3:37 PM EST, the Moon enters expressive Leo, moving you to release the sensitivity of the past few days. Work on being expressive without overdramatizing the issues you are dealing with.

At 4:20 PM EST, impulsive Mars forms a supportive sextile aspect to level-headed Saturn. The cycle between Mars and Saturn began in August of 2016 and is a cycle of stabilizing your assertive or sexual energies. What began in this vein at that time? Now, you will want to begin exploring ways to release that cycle in order to start a new level of stabilizing energy and sexuality in April of 2018. Begin to explore ways you may want to reestablish self-determination, independence, and sexuality.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:55 PM EST until she enters Leo at 3:37 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SEEK PLEASURE AND JOY

Thursday, December 7, 2017:

Thursday and Friday look like the best days in an overall challenging week. Obviously, we are still being impacted by Mercury’s retrograde motion impacting Mercury’s rocky relationship with Saturn. However, on Thursday and Friday, try to take any challenges with a grain of salt.

With the Moon in Leo, you can treat yourself to expressive creative pursuits and make fun and joy a priority. If there are children in your life, take a page from their playbook! Get in touch with playful pleasures.

Don’t hold back, express boldness as you seek simple joy. Engage in the love and romance, showing large bold gestures of passion and play. Take yourself to a show or better yet, go dancing. Enjoy the hell out of this day. You need it.

SUPPORT, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND KINDNESS

Friday, December 8, 2017:

Friday brings us to another day of focus on creativity, pleasure, and fun. The vital Leo Moon makes lovely aspects to eccentric Uranus, communicative Mercury, level-headed Saturn, and assertive Mars. This brings excitement, conversations, stabilization, and initiative to your generosity and creativity. Think about what you can do with that! 🙂

At 6:09 PM EST, the Moon leaves flashy Leo behind to enter meticulous Virgo, bringing your attention to issues of dedication, service and kindness toward others. Early in the day, it may seem a good idea to gather with friends for a night on the town. However, by the time Friday evening comes around, you are unlikely to be in the mood to do so.

This would be a better evening to cook a healthy meal for friends who needs support. You are able to offer a level of practical kindness, words of encouragement, and down to earth coaching. The exciting night-on-the-town will have to wait.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:41 PM EST until she enters Virgo at 6:09 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

RELEASE ALL VESTIGES OF SHAME

Saturday, December 9, 2017:

Friday is a significant day as Mars leaves the cooperative sign of Libra (3:59 AM EST) behind to enter the intensely transformative sign of Scorpio. Mars, the planet of assertiveness, aggression, and directive sexuality, has been in Libra since October 22nd.

Keep your eye on how the #MeToo issue continues to unfold in personal lives and in the culture at large. The interest in compromise loses its roots as Mars goes directly for passion, desire, and its brand of truth.

With Jupiter also advancing through Scorpio, this story continues forward even as it morphs and changes. If you have a #MeToo story… take the time to tell it, if only to yourself. It does not need to be a public telling but give that story the light of day within your own heart. Shed any shame you have carried as it is so abundantly clear that you are in good company as nearly all women share such a story.

The Moon is in Virgo throughout the day allowing for a Saturday perfect for catching up on chores and home puttering. My favorite!

UNEXPECTED NEWS

Sunday, December 10, 2017:

As the Moon moves through Virgo, she reaches her Last Quarter phase, imbuing us with restlessness and the need for change.

On a lighter note, Mercury, the planet of communication and thought, forms a flowing trine aspect to progressive Uranus. This may bring sudden epiphanies along with exciting and unexpected news. Pay attention to strokes of genius that seem ‘out of the blue’. Do keep in mind that Mercury is retrograde; set those new, innovative ideas aside to be put into action at the start of 2018.

At 8:47 AM EST, Venus, the planet of love and beauty, forms a challenging square aspect to imaginative Neptune, bringing a push toward inspiration for visionaries and artists.

Any difficulties that arise later in the day have their roots in the past rather than in current time. Don’t jump to conclusions or make judgments on the behaviors of those around you, you are likely missing a crucial piece of the puzzle.

You will be best served by sticking close to home working on the development of orderly and meticulous routines. A great day to make that gingerbread house. 🙂

A restless Last Quarter Virgo Moon can rob some folks of a good night’s sleep. Mixed messages from the heavens continue into the morning.

On a brighter note, Mercury’s trine to Uranus may be a stunning source of enlightenment, or a stroke of genius. Venus’ square to Neptune inspires artists, spiritualists, and other visionaries but it can also be a harbinger of heartache. After noon and long into the night, the Moon faces challenging alignments with retrograde Mercury and Saturn. Disturbing issues may reflect the past rather than the present. Fears and worries can be exaggerated. Contemplation is rewarded with fresh understanding of long-ago happenings. Be sure to think twice before making a judgment or reaching conclusions.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:03 PM EST until midnight when she enters Libra. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CURIOSITY IN COMMUNICATION

Monday, November 6, 2017:

Monday presents us with relatively calm but fully engaging day. The Moon is in inquisitive, perspective Gemini. Allow yourself to maintain an open attitude toward all the folks you encounter. Ask questions, encourage an open exchange, and share your unique perspectives with others. In all of this, show a deep level of respect and curiosity.

At 9:58 PM EST, the Gemini Moon opposes stabilizing, duty-bound Saturn. Go to sleep early enough and you won’t feel the heaviness that is often a part of this serious energy.

SENSITIVITY AND DEEP CONNECTION

Tuesday, November 7, 2017:

At 5:45 AM EST, the Moon enters protective, sensitive Cancer allowing the general emotional state of the day to turn inward. Shortly thereafter, Venus, the planet of deep, personal values, enters the powerful waters of Scorpio where she joins with both Jupiter and the Sun.

Over the coming days, Venus reaches out toward Jupiter, allowing the depth of passion and love to deepen and release. On November 13th, they will join together at 7 degrees Scorpio, beginning a new cycle of expanding the intensity of deep love and connection.

At 3:48 PM EST, the sensitive Cancer Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to expansive Jupiter. Allow deep love, connection, and prosperity to flow. Spend money, create art, and give love.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:40 AM EST until she enters Cancer at 5:45 AM EST. LOL! Five whole minutes; you will probably be sleeping or brushing your teeth!

ALLOW THIS SNAG TO PASS

Wednesday, November 8, 2017:

Rouen, Rue de L’Epicerie by Camille Pissaro via Wiki Media

Wednesday morning brings a sense of belonging to your situation. Whether you spend your day at work, at home, alone, or in community there is a sense that you belong.

At 10:06 AM EST, that sense may hit a snag as someone in the environment may push an agenda or try to hold power or control over you. This is a simple Moon transit and is likely to be rather subtle and won’t last long. If you pay attention, you will, however, notice it. Perhaps, it is an internal thing where you are the one pushing the agenda or holding power over another. Go inward and check your own level of integrity.

In the very early hours of Thursday morning, the Cancer Moon also has a challenging aspect to unsettling, exciting, and sometimes defiant Uranus. Get to bed early and allow these energies to pass without distress. No early morning tweeting please! 🙂

BEGIN YOUR PLAN FOR 2018

Thursday, November 9, 2017:

Depending on how early you get up on Thursday morning, you may or may not encounter ongoing sensitivity from the past few days. At 7:30 AM EST, the Moon leaves emotional Cancer behind to enter exuberant Leo. You will be able to set aside that sensitivity and open yourself to a more generous and playful state of self-expression.

Another early morning event occurs at 7:12 AM EST, with the passionate Scorpio Sun forming a sextile aspect to subversive, transformative Pluto. The cycle between the Sun and Pluto (an annual cycle of empowerment or destruction) began on January 7, 2017.

As you prepare for the new cycle, which will begin in January of 2018, consider what you will need to release as you prepare for the next cycle. Simply stated, this as an important time to consider what needs to be released and to begin to plan for the new cycle ahead. Yes, begin to envision your personal intentions and strategies for 2018!

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:15 AM EST until she enters Leo at 7:30 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A NIGHT FOR SELF-EXPRESSION

Friday, November 10, 2017:

I think you can anticipate a pleasant, even fun, morning. Get to work early, engage with others; show-up as your most authentic self while holding space for others to feel safe in their full personality expression as well. Folks will probably be feeling fairly positive and upbeat as they prepare for the weekend ahead.

Late afternoon may bring a bit of a slump as we reach the Third Quarter Moon phase at 3:37 PM EST. With the Sun in intensely private Scorpio and the Moon in playful, expressive Leo, there may be a conflict in how to move forward. Allow any stress to pass by observing without reacting to difficult (internal or external) interactions. Release and move forward, this is simply a Moon transit and will pass quickly if you do not engage with it.

If you are hoping for any party type activities, Friday is your night. Go to the theater, go dancing, engage with others in a big way, and enjoy playful expressions of all sorts.

Saturday night will be best suited for quieter endeavors.

PLAN FOR MAGIC

Saturday, November 11, 2017:

Start Saturday off with simple pleasures, a low-key yoga class, brunch with friends, or a walk in the woods. Whatever you choose to do early in the day, make sure you have no agenda other than enjoyment. Other energies and ideas are rattling around in your head through the morning hours but allow them to be non-obtrusive while you simply enjoy the morning.

Saturday’s flowing trine to inspirational Uranus brings focus to the afternoon as you are provided with the ability to explore new ideas and unusual innovations. Nail these ideas down, bring them into reality as you make definitive goals on which to build your most inspiring, inventive ideas.

Once the Moon enters industrious, efficient Virgo at 11:42 AM EST, commit those goals to paper. Sign and date your goal statements, revisit your statement regularly and allow magic to occur.

The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:56 AM EST until she enters Virgo at 11:42 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PRACTICAL DREAMS

Sunday, November 12, 2017:

Sunday may bring minor challenges but they are rather sweet challenges. 🙂

The Moon is in highly practical Virgo throughout the day, encouraging you to spend time on analytical or organizational projects. Perhaps, you simply need to do laundry and clean the house.

However, at 8:24 AM EST, the orderly Virgo Moon makes an opposition to dreamy, fanciful Neptune. With this aspect in play, you may want to open a bottle of champagne while you clean the house and do the laundry! Perhaps, you can take a break from the work to watch a movie, meditate, or simply rest and dream. A dreamy but analytical organizational day!

At 7:04 PM EST, when the Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to transformative Pluto, you can dive into gratitude and the depth of empowerment you are developing as you grow in self-understanding.

“There is no measuring with time, no year matters, and 10 years are nothing. Being an artist means, not reckoning and counting, but ripening like the tree which does not force it sap and stands confident in the storms of spring without the fear that after them may come no summer. It does come. But it comes only to the patient, who are there as though eternity lay before them, so unconcernedly still and wide. I learn it daily, learn it with pain to which I am grateful: patience is everything!”  ~ Rainer Maria Rilke

LOVE AND COMPASSION

Monday, October 2, 2017:

Monday morning begins with the Moon in humanitarian, quirky Aquarius forming a lovely supportive trine aspect to expansive Jupiter. The week begins with encouragement and a positive sense of forward motion.

At 10:27 AM EDT, the Moon enters sensitive, mystical, and sometimes confusing, Pisces. With the Moon in idealistic Pisces, the boundaries you normally hold between yourself and others are less distinct and more porous. You may feel dreamy, romantic, and possibly, more vulnerable.

It may be difficult to hold your attention on the practical realities of your work.

You may feel drawn to bodies of water, music, poetry, and the bar on the corner. Things that normally do not affect you may bring tears to your eyes as your level of compassion is highly increased. This is a time you want to help others and you are able to express more understanding and compassion than usual.

Your imagination is heightened as well and yet your sense of reality is unclear. Watch for your tendency to give in escapism; it is probably better to head to the yoga studio or meditation center than the corner bar!

Pay attention to your intuition and allow yourself time to rest, dreams, meditate and simply be with self-love and compassion

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:13 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 10:27 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LET IT FLOW

Tuesday, October 3, 2017:

The Moon remains in spiritually transcendent Pisces throughout Tuesday making contact with Neptune at 8:46 AM EDT. This could create difficulty getting out of bed and into the routines of your life. You may simply want to stay in bed, sleep, and daydream!

However, at 3:09 PM EDT, lovely Venus forms a supportive flowing trine aspect to powerful Pluto bringing a great deal of depth and intensity to whatever you are passionate about at this time. The cycle between Venus (at 16° Virgo) and Pluto (at 16° Capricorn) is a cycle of bringing love, beauty, and value to the deepest corners of your empowered soul. The cycle began in late November of 2016. Whatever began at that time is now flowing through you and into the world.

Are you creating a work of art, a great love affair, or something else that is connected to your most powerful values? Pay attention and you can feel the positive forward movement in your life. You are in the section of the river where the water flows quickly with no rapids, nothing standing in the way. The only word of caution: stay out of the way and let it flow!

STAND UP FOR YOURSELF

Wednesday, October 4, 2017:

Rouen, Rue de l’Épicerie by Camille Pissarro via Wiki Media

Wednesday begins with the Moon still in fanciful, elusive Pisces. At 9:25 AM EDT, she joins with Chiron at 25° Pisces, this suggests a time to work on a deep spiritual level with your deepest hidden wounds. Allow compassion for yourself and others to be fully exposed and available. Everyone you meet can use the kindness you are able to express.

By the time the Moon enters dynamic Aries at 4:40 PM EDT, you will probably be ready for this change in the emotional environment. Now, we leave behind the soft sensitivity of Pisces and are ready to stand up for yourselves in a direct and assertive manner. The next few days will offer you the opportunity to develop and show courage and internal strength.

Get out Wednesday evening for a run, a bike ride, or some other solitary endeavor that will utilize your physical strength and individuality. You very well may need time alone.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:18 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 4:40 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ARIES FULL MOON – TAKE A STAND

Thursday, October 5, 2017:

By Thursday, the sensitivity of the early part of the week has certainly been left behind. With the Moon in fiercely determined Aries, you probably feel more daring and courageous than usual. You want to do new things, you may be hot-tempered, and even a bit selfish.

However, that potential selfishness is countered by lovely Venus joining with forceful Mars (at 19° Virgo) at 12:53 PM EDT. This is the beginning of a cycle of a cooperative relationship. If you have challenges in your relationship, this is the time to plant a seed of understanding through thoughtful analysis.

When Mars and Venus come together, Venus calms the angry, assertive nature of Mars, even as Mars gives energy and strength to the civility and good manners of Venus. This is an aspect of passion and romance.

You will do well to be direct, open, and honest in your connections with others, particularly romantic partners. This aspect along with the Aries Moon supports your taking a clear stand for what you truly want.

SENSUALITY AND PATIENCE

Friday, October 6, 2017:

With the Moon in Aries forming a supportive trine aspect to Saturn at 7:27 AM EDT, you are ready to move with steadfast courage and assertiveness into the work day. You will do your best work if you are able to work on a personal project. You may be impatient with others, it is best if you can work on your own.

At 2:59 PM EDT, the Moon makes contact with eccentric Uranus. You may surprise others with some unexpected action or you may be surprised by someone or your own inner original thoughts. Be open to unanticipated epiphanies.

Once the Moon enters dependable, steadfast Taurus at 7:56 PM EDT, you can expect to settle, slow down and connect with others on an earthy, patient level. This will be a great evening to cook together with a partner, engage in sensual touch, massage, and deep kissing. 😉

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:39 PM EDT until she enters Taurus at 7:56 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

FOCUS ON SENSUAL DELIGHTS

Saturday, October 7, 2017:

Astrologically, Saturday is a very quiet day. The Moon continues through consistent, earthy Taurus, enabling you to experience life through your senses. Nothing needs to move quickly, you can take your time, you do not need to start anything new or get excited about anything. Your attention is likely to be on practical issues, you feel patient, steadfast, and dependable.

Your focus on Saturday is likely to be on indulging yourself. This is the day to plan for great food, listen to beautiful music, and find ways to awaken your senses. Get a massage, go dancing, and put beautiful flowers on the dining room table. Get outdoors in nature, go for a walk, or prepare the garden for next Spring’s planting.

Take self-care to new heights as you engage with all your senses – sight, sound, taste, touch, and scent. Bring sensuality to others through food and touch. Enjoy the sweetness and reverence available.

SELF CARE AND CLARITY

Sunday, October 8, 2017:

Sunday brings with it complications that Saturday didn’t have. Beautiful, lovely Venus forms a challenging square aspect to restrictive Saturn at 8:53 AM EDT. This is apt to be an uncomfortable aspect and you may notice yourself feeling melancholy and low.

Perhaps, you feel that you cannot get what you really desire or that you just aren’t good enough, pretty enough, clever enough… you know those messages, you have heard them before. Haven’t we all?!

The important thing is to pay attention to what your responsibilities really are and look at the reality of your situation. It may not feel great, but if you gain clarity on what is real and what is just negative messages, you will find that you have the inner resolve to do what needs to be done to stabilize these issues in your life. You really do know that you are smart enough, kind enough, clever enough… You just need to get on board and do the work that is required to put your best foot forward.

At 9:45 PM EDT, the Moon enters impatient Gemini. It may be difficult get to sleep as your mind could begin to race. Spend some quiet time with a hot cup of tea, rest and remember the importance of self-care.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:45 AM EDT until she enters Gemini at 9:45 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

~ Dane Rudhyar, Astrological Aspects – A Process Oriented Approach

“So it comes to pass that, when we pursue an inquiry beyond a certain depth, we step out of the field of psychological categories and enter this sphere of the ultimate mysteries of life. The floorboards of the soul, to which we try to penetrate, fan open and reveal the starry firmament.”

ACTIVITY AMPS UP

Monday, September 11, 2017:

Monday morning should start out slow and easy. The Moon is in Taurus supporting earthy relaxation and deliberate stability. Don’t try to get a lot accomplished as the VOC* Moon is not interested in achievement.

At 3:29 PM EDT, you can expect your mind to speed-up with activity as the Moon makes her way into talkative and curious Gemini.

This will be a great evening to enlist active study, writing, or speaking. The Moon develops harsh challenging aspects to both mental Mercury and assertive Mars, pressuring you to take action on your thoughts, words, and ideas. Pay attention and be aware of how others hear you, express your passion but do try to keep aggression out of your tone and manner.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) on Monday until she enters Gemini at 3:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

STABLE LOVE & VALUES

Tuesday, September 12, 2017:

In consideration of Tuesday’s trine aspect formed from graceful Venus to deliberate thoughtful Saturn at 8:49 PM EDT, you will want to look back at the entire cycle between these two planets.

The cycle between Venus and Saturn is a cycle of bringing stability to your deepest values. At the start of each planetary cycle, we plant a seed or in some manner begin a new process. This may have been a time when you began a serious relationship or started a new phase in an existing one. Perhaps, you began to handle your finances in a more mature fashion and you got serious about making money, establishing wealth, or creating something of material substance.

Examine the seed you planted when the cycle began at the conjunction between Venus and Saturn in late October of 2016. At the end of July of 2017, you were able to see how far the cycle had developed at its full expression. Now, you get the benefit of the work you have done on this issue. The relationship is going well or the finances have improved.

You may even be able to help others who face similar challenges to their most personal values of love or money. Maturity and hard work support the stabilization of those values. Over the coming months, you will begin preparation for a new cycle of deepening those serious values.

The Moon is in curious Gemini throughout the day encouraging friendly, talkative encounters with a diverse range of folks.

STRUGGLE LEADS TO MATURE GROWTH

Wednesday, September 13, 2017:

Wednesday’s Gemini Moon is extremely active in the early hours of the morning when you will likely be sleeping, anticipate strong dream activity.

At 2:24 AM EDT, we reach the Third Quarter Moon phase. This is a release point following the Full Solar Eclipse of August 21st. Think back to that day and consider what shifts need to be made to prepare for a step forward at the coming New Moon on September 20th.

Once you get up and are going into the day, there’s a lovely trine aspect from the talkative Gemini Moon to Jupiter in relationship- oriented Libra. This is a time when conversations with a loved one can be expansive, optimistic, and result in positive connection.

When the Moon then sextiles Uranus at 2:35 PM EDT, all bets are off, excitement may bring a surprise or something unexpected.

Wednesday evening, the energy changes dramatically at 6:13 PM EDT, when the Moon leaves chatty Gemini behind to enter protective, nourishing Cancer. Cancer brings our attention to domestic issues, love, and kindness.

However, we are building to a difficult square aspect being formed from the critical Virgo Sun to Saturn in Sagittarius (exact at 10:58 PM EDT). This brings with it a sense of difficulty, responsibilities, and the heavy hand of reality. The stress of this aspect is with us through most of Wednesday and will maintain through much of Thursday.

Consider a difficult choice or something stressful that began early in December 2016. It may feel hard but this is the time to begin the process of untangling the issues surrounding that time.

You may feel restricted, restrained and in some way held back by others. Please relax into it, and try to find the lesson. Saturn brings significant growth as we take responsibility for ourselves and the steps we take forward.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:35 PM EDT until she enters Cancer at 6:13 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LOVE – THE MEANING OF FAMILY

Thursday, September 14, 2017:

I hope you enjoy exciting and hopeful dreams before you wake. Then turn your attention to anticipation and encouragement regarding your domestic and deeply emotional connections and relationships.

At 3:31 PM EDT, with the Moon trine devotional Neptune, your heart and mind may turn in the direction of romance or simple flights of fancy. Immerse yourself in the development of your deep understanding of what family means to you. Family can mean so many things to each of us. A quote I like from Jim Butcher, “When everything goes to hell, the people who stand by your without flinching – they are your family.” These are the connections to remain committed to over time. Folks who keep you close through thick and thin, who you know you can share your vulnerabilities with, bring them closer now, let them know you are by their side as well. Accepting deep love from others sustains your ability to move forward and continue passing love onto others.

When the Moon is in Cancer, our hearts feel tender and our sensitivity can sometimes be a challenge. Allow your vulnerabilities to show, give, and receive love and kindness.

EXPAND LOVE

Friday, September 15, 2017:

Friday brings another day of deep sensitivity as the Moon continues moving through intuitive, tender Cancer.

At 3:43 PM EDT, Venus, the planet of love, beauty and resources forms a lovely sextile aspect to Jupiter, the planet of expansion and optimism. Take time to become aware of what you have created in terms of love, value, beauty, or finances since late August 2016. This is the waning sextile, a time to begin preparation for a new cycle of expanding love that will begin in November. For now, prepare to release the cycle that began in late August 2016. Each new cycle builds on the previous one.

Pay attention to any opportunities you encounter to express your appreciation for how others have nourished your life.

At 9:09 PM EDT, the Moon leaves Cancer behind to enter dramatically inclined Leo. Saturday will feel far less sensitive and will be more playful and fun. 🙂

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:23 PM EDT until she enters Leo at 9:09 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

PUT YOUR CARDS ON THE TABLE

Saturday, September 16, 2017:

I love to see a weekend with a playful Leo Moon. It is true that I am a bit biased in this regard! It is also true that weekends are generally a time we want to have fun and express ourselves with generosity and largesse. The Leo Moon helps create this energy with encouragement. It is also true that we each need to make sure our motivations are clear, that our generosity does not have a core of selfishness with this Moon placement.

At 3:01 PM EDT, mental Mercury, finally direct, joins with aggressive Mars for the final of three conjunctions, this time in Virgo. Finally, say what must be said, with renewed clarity and deep kindness. Get ready to move on with new ideas and new ways to implement those ideas. Virgo offers the ability to see the potential of a situation and do the detailed work to reach that potential for the good of all. Put your cards on the table.

COLOR THE DAY WITH PLEASURE

Sunday, September 17, 2017:

Sunday brings delightful aspects to the exuberant Leo Moon. The day begins with a flowing trine to Saturn at 10:18 AM EDT, you should feel steady and in control of the direction you want to take the day, you are ready to move forward but not in a hurry.

The Moon has an exciting sextile to Jupiter at 4:36 PM EDT which supports the expansion of your heart and generosity. At 8:34 PM EDT, with a conjunction to lovely Venus, your heart feels full, creative, loyal, and dynamic. At 8:55 PM EDT, with a trine to Uranus, you may receive news that surprises you or you may express something unexpected to others.

Your heart is so open throughout this day. Enjoy. There is hopefulness and joy available for the taking. These are all Moon transits so be sure to incorporate them as they come along, they will not last but will color the day with pleasure.
