The week begins with the Sun, Venus, and Mercury in Taurus; the Moon and Jupiter in Virgo, and Pluto in Capricorn. That’s 6 out of 10 “planets” in Earth signs. We can expect the week to begin with a sense of slow deliberation.
On Monday afternoon, the Moon enters Libra where she remains until the wee hours of Thursday morning. Saturday at 1:49 PM, she enters Sagittarius where she will remain through the end of the weekend.
The early days of the week (Monday through Thursday) are quite uneventful. Of course, there are the general ups and downs reflected by the lunar aspects but there is nothing terribly significant to speak of. Remember, that the aspects made by the Moon pass by very quickly. When the slower moving planets aspect each other, we are looking at a longer term process.
However, we can expect the quiet uneventful days to end on Friday when the Sun enters Gemini at 9:36 AM EDT. The Sun’s entrance into Gemini moves us from slow and steady into a more energized activity of growth. Communication and curiosity replace deliberate predictability.
You can think about Taurus as Ferdinand the Bull and Gemini as the Road Runner.
Gemini is a mutable Air sign. Mutability speaks to the versatile, adaptable nature of Gemini. The element of Air speaks to the intellect, bringing curiosity, versatility, and inquisitiveness to the table.
Gemini wants to explore the possibilities available, whereas Taurus simply wanted to sit on the sidelines and hold space of consistency and reliability.
On Saturday, we come to a Full Moon in Sagittarius. The lunar cycle has been building since the New Moon on May 6th. Whatever we began building at that time is now released into full expression. A Full Moon in Sagittarius is a time to celebrate expansion. Look at the expanding possibilities!
On Sunday, Mercury turns direct! We are all delighted with this news and are ready to proceed forward with new projects, ideas, and communication.
On to the Dailies!
Have a wonderful week.

A DAY FOR ARTISTS AND LOVERS
Monday, May 16, 2016:
Even with Mercury and Mars still retrograde, the week begins with a sense of ease and predictability. Routines feel easy to maintain and we have the patience to stick with them.
At 12:33 PM EDT, the Moon enters Libra, the sign of diplomacy and social graces. This is a day meant for artists and lovers. Expect to feel a pull toward beauty and love.
Don’t sit around waiting for love or inspiration to find you, put yourself out in the world where you can interact with others. With the Grand Earth Trine still active between Jupiter, Pluto, and Mercury, you likely feel a strong pull toward sensual pleasures. The only drawback to this planetary configuration is the tendency to overindulge in food, drink, or spending. Unless you have the money to spend, leave the credit cards at home!
This should be a great evening for any social activities or simply a pleasant evening to share with family.

TINY INCREMENTAL STEPS FORWARD
Tuesday, May 17, 2016:
With the Sun, Venus, and Mercury still in Taurus and the Libra Moon moving quietly throughout the day, there is nothing to do but continue putting one foot in front of the other. Nothing is apt to happen in a hurry today but steady progress can be made on whatever you choose to put your attention on.
At 6:35 PM EDT, the stable Taurus Sun sextiles Saturn, the planet that forms structure and stability in exchange for our efforts. What area of your life are you working to build a stable foundation? If you pay attention this evening, you may hear as quiet whisper encouraging you to explore a new path for emotional stability.  By May 22nd, you will see more clearly the appropriate action.
This will not take you on any radical new path. Remember that tiny incremental steps move us forward just as surely as radical leaps into the unknown. For now, it is slow movement forward.
Enjoy the slow pace of the continued Taurus energy as she is still enjoying the company of the full Grand Earth Trine. It won’t last too much longer.
Pay close attention to the reality of your life and encourage pleasure to grow.

CONVENTION VS. PROGRESS

Explosión de Supernova by Tel2368045 via Wiki Commons

Tuesday was a day devoted to the maintenance of pleasure and calm. On Wednesday, don’t be surprised if you wake up feeling abandoned by that pleasure! What happened? Where did that sense of ease and beauty go?
Remember, the square aspect formed by Uranus and Pluto that we talked so much about over the past 4 years? Well, that aspect has been technically complete for some time now. However, think about how slowly both Uranus and Pluto move. It takes Uranus 84 years to fully orbit the Sun; it takes Pluto 248 years. Because of this, they are still very close together in the square of their cycle.
On Wednesday, the Libra Moon squares Pluto (12:38 AM EDT), shortly after she opposes Uranus (11:23 AM EDT). With the Moon linking them together in this way, we are reminded us of the powerful challenges and profound changes that have occurred in our lives over the past 4+ years.
It is important to pay attention to the issues in the culture (and in our personal circumstances) that continue to pit protocol and convention against progress and revolutionary change.
Following the opposition to Uranus, the Moon remains quiet for the rest of the day.
Don’t feel guilty for taking the afternoon off for rest and rejuvenation. You need it more than you may realize.

ALLOW POWERFUL HEALING
Thursday, May 19, 2016:
Perhaps Wednesday’s contemplation of recent changes in your life prompted you to look more deeply into your own unacknowledged wounds. If you have been hurt or hurt others during the past 4 years of radical change, it is important that you stop trying to sweep that pain under the rug. You don’t have to blame another to acknowledge your own personal hurt and the hurt you absorb when you hurt others.
When the Moon enters Scorpio at 2:30 AM EDT, most of us will be sleeping. While you slept your dreams have deepened your understanding and view of your current circumstances. Within dream space you can engage the hidden dynamics at work, without your conscious mind getting in the way.
There is nothing light-hearted about Thursday. Allow your self-understanding to expand into uncharted territory. Expect to shed some tears; not the kind that rock you to the core, not the sentimental, or even the manipulative kind. The tears we shed now are tears of deep opening and powerful healing.

At 8:27 PM EDT, Venus sextile Chiron shows us the path that will support the healing of relationship issues that hold us back from deeper joy. The Scorpio Moon is delighted with this deep inner work.

PICK UP THE PACE – SUN ENTERS GEMINI
Friday, May 20, 2016:
It’s time to pick up the pace! Slow just went out of style.
Even as the Scorpio Moon continues asking us to deepen our heart connection to the world around us, the Sun shifts us onto a path that speeds up our thinking and insists we pay attention to everything. Pay attention to EVERYTHING?! Imagine the anxiety of trying to do that!
While the Sun is in Gemini, make it a practice to watch your breathing, remain in your body, and keep your mind and awareness in the present moment.
At 10:36 AM EDT, the Sun leaves behind the sensuous, grounded, Earth sign of Taurus to enter the inquisitive, Air sign of Gemini. Perhaps, your life has been moving along at a steady pace, following this shift; it may feel as though someone has put too much pressure on the gas pedal.
With Mercury (Gemini’s ruling planet) (and Mars) currently retrograde, it will take some effort to maintain focus without anxiety, anger, or blame getting in the way. Having this awareness will help considerably.
Gemini is a curious, perceptive, and intellectual sign. During this time, our thoughts come ever closer to the surface as we gather information, analyze, and communicate. Gemini brings lightness, and a touch of fun, to every corner of our lives.
Watch how your ability and interest in communication and learning shift and move quickly. We learn so much when we let curiosity guide the way. Follow your curiosity. It will set you on a path of profound learning.

SAGITTARIUS FULL MOON: EXPANSION & CURIOSITY
Saturday, May 21, 2016:
Sagittarius Full Moon is exact at 5:15 PM EDT – Make a plan for Saturday evening! It should be a memorable night.
As we expand our curiosity about the world around us, our minds and our hearts expand with understanding and compassion; as we expand our understanding and compassion our curiosity grows.
With the Sun in optimistic Sagittarius and the Moon in inquisitive Gemini, the issue of exploring big ideas is front and center. Think back to the Taurus New Moon on May 6th. You probably planted a seed you hoped would grow into a stable force of support and structure in your life. How do you see that growth from the perspective of the Full Moon? Has your desire for stability shown you that you need to learn something new or has it asked you to begin a new study of some sort?
Do you need to learn something to support your stability or do you need stability to support your learning? Isn’t this a question similar to: which comes first the chicken or the egg? You really can’t have one without the other.
Mars – the assertive planet of initiative and the power of will – is conjunct the Full Moon, bringing a great deal of energy to the table on Saturday evening. Be aware of the tendency to be a bit more self-centered than usual. Luckily, Gemini and Sagittarius are mutable signs, so we are able to adapt and don’t need to have our own way. Relax and go with what is offered… up to a point!
This is a night to enjoy; we are all seeking a sense of adventure. However, with the Sun opposing Mars early Sunday morning, please consider how this adventure will appear in the light of day.

MERCURY RETROGRADE ENDS; TURNING DIRECT AT 8:20 AM EDT
Sunday, May 22, 2016:
With the Sun opposing Mars at 6:16 AM EDT, we may wake up less than thrilled with how we ultimately choose to spend Saturday night. Perhaps, you followed an adventure that was a bit ill advised. On the other hand, whatever you got ‘up to’ on Saturday night may energize the morning! You feel angry with yourself or you feel energized! Which will it be for you?
You may get a hint if you think back to the beginning of the cycle between the Sun and Mars. This is a cycle of energizing the self, of bringing determination and initiative to consciousness. The cycle began in mid-June of 2015. Perhaps, you began a physical disciple, a sexual connection, or some other dynamic or assertive activity at that time. In early February, you very likely took an action that propelled the energy to where it is now. It is helpful to keep a journal to follow these cycles.
This is certainly set up to be an intensely active, somewhat fun, and somewhat stressful weekend. The Moon brings uneasy aspects to Neptune and Saturn on in the late afternoon. How about we all agree to a kindness to one another, a quiet evening and an early bedtime?

MERCURY DIRECT! PREPARE TO MOVE FORWARD
Monday, January 25, 2016:
Once we get through the bulk of Monday, Mercury turns direct at 4:50 PM EST at nearly 15° Capricorn. For several days before and after Mercury turns retrograde or direct, there is a time when it simply seems to stand still. This brings an immense focus to the area of the chart that holds 15° Capricorn. Your thinking or your communications may feel stuck in the area of your life that is represented by the house placement involved.
The Moon is inactive (VOC*) in Leo until 10:46 PM EST when she enters Virgo. I expect Monday to feel like we are anxiously waiting for something to shift. Don’t make any big decisions or start any new projects on Monday. Rest and prepare your heart and mind to move forward over the coming days.

DREAMING THE PRACTICAL
Tuesday, January 26, 2016:
The Moon is in Virgo on Tuesday. We tend to gravitate toward practical activities, organization, and detail work while the Moon is in Virgo. However, on Tuesday the Virgo Moon is in a particularly soft and dreamy space, and not nearly as practical as you would expect.
Consider the organization and clarity necessary to develop your dreams. Make specific plans to reach your deepest emotional satisfaction through the development of dreams and beauty. Help others to find their way out of confusion. It may be easier to see their path than your own.
Now that Mercury has turned direct, you will also want to pay attention to health issues. Is there a change that you need to make in your self-care routines? Begin to examine what you want to change. Implement those changes at the next New Moon (February 8th).
You have the ability on Tuesday to ask for exactly what you want directly and honestly. This is a significant day to really get clear about what you want to create in your life.  Attend to the dream of value and beauty in your own heart; create a plan to bring that dream into fruition.

MANAGING DETAILS; IMPROVING SKILLS
Wednesday, January 27, 2016:
On Wednesday, we are able to set any dreams aside in order to engage in the practical organization that is required to move forward.
Wednesday’s Virgo Moon forms aspects to Saturn, Mercury, Pluto, and Jupiter.  Remember, that Virgo is the worker of the zodiac and there is a lot of support in her efforts now. Never underestimate the importance of managing details while the Moon is in Virgo. We all know that any project will deteriorate rapidly without proper attention being given to the small moving parts.
Consider your greatest skills and talents. Where will the development of these skills allow you to support and be of service to your friends, neighbors, community, and the world?
The service we are speaking of here is a service of humility; there is no space for ego’s arrogant stance. What additional skills must you develop in order to increase your ability to help others? How will your most natural skills come to the service of others? These are all good contemplations for Wednesday.

SEEK DIPLOMACY; EXPRESS KINDNESS
Thursday, January 28, 2016:
You may wake up feeling a little blah on Thursday; there just doesn’t seem to be the energy necessary to get moving. Expect a slow start on the day. This sense of lethargy will pass as soon as the Moon enters Libra at 10:00 AM EST.
Thursday is likely to be a day of ‘people pleasing’. You may notice that you are concerned with creating balance, pleasure, and harmony between yourself and others. This is a good day for interpersonal negotiations or diplomacy. You may be surprised at the level with which you seem to understand others. Go out of your way to express kindness.
This could be an excellent time for socializing and getting back in the good graces of others whom you have possibly alienated over the past weeks or months. If apologies are in order, make sure they come from a place of deep authenticity, humility and sincerity.
It may be a challenge to make decisions on Thursday, or to make-up your mind about anything that requires a distinct choice. Simply release your concerns about those particular decisions and choices. They can wait.

BE AWARE OF VOLATILITY
Friday, January 29, 2016:
Enjoy the early part of the day on Friday. The more challenging side of the Libra Moon develops as the evening approaches.
The square aspect formed between Uranus and Pluto that has been a constant conversation in astrological circles since 2012, is echoing through our lives once again. Friday’s Libra Moon activates that energy (the energy of transformation, destruction, rebellion, and revolution) as she squares Pluto and opposes Uranus. Mercury is echoing this situation also as he lines up with Pluto in the wee hours of Saturday morning. We will talk about that more on Saturday.
This could be a volatile evening; keep that in mind when making plans.
Where are you holding tightly to resistance? What do you know needs to change in your life that you are still resisting? What about the transformation you have already been through over the past few years is not yet complete? Contemplate that question now. Pay close attention to any new places where deep thinking emerges. Follow your curiosity; your mind is seeking new levels of depth in previously unexplored territory.

MAKE SPACE FOR NEW THOUGHTS
Saturday, January 30, 2016:
You may feel a bit restless with the Libra Moon making no aspects (VOC*) all day, along with the more significant aspects of the day! The Moon will not enter Scorpio until 10:51 PM EST.
Mercury made contact with Pluto in mid-December 2015, again on January 22 while retrograde, and will make her final conjunction on Saturday. Our collective thinking is drilling deeply into intense social issues. Think: the environment, racism, guns! Our collective (and individual) thinking must be transformed. Consider all of the conversations in the culture that are changing the thinking of the masses. Listen to the political discourse!
On a personal level, what do you continue to do habitually, that you know is not healthy for you? This is an opportunity to go deep and destroy the core that is beneath the habit, making space for newly empowered thinking.
Another significant aspect of Saturday is a sextile between Venus and Neptune. You can expect your imagination to be dreamy and poetic, your values to be deeply stimulated by beauty or romance. There’s a touch of magic to your relationships even in the midst of the mental intensity of the day.
The best way to manage this day is with patience and kindness to self and others.
Seek inspiration, sensitivity, and whimsy. Read poetry, meditate, and dance.

FEEL THE CHANGES
Sunday, January 31, 2016:
On Sunday, we engage with the intensity that the Scorpio Moon is well known for. All emotions are deeply felt while the Moon is in Scorpio, be it passion, sorrow, elation, or desire. We are very motivated by the need to understand what is below the surface in any situation. We are not interested in frivolous conversations or connections.
The Third Quarter Moon is exact at 10:28 PM EST, encouraging us to begin the process of releasing what we began at the New Moon on January 9th. T
Now the Sun (Aquarius) and the Moon (Scorpio) are in square aspect to each other. The square aspect itself creates a level of anxiety or stress. The Sun which represents ‘core energy’ and the Moon that represents ‘emotional need’ come to a point where they are at cross-purposes to each other. Think about the Aquarius Sun and its expansion into new realms; compare that to the Scorpio Moon and its need to be private and even secretive. It is easy to see that they are on different paths and must learn to negotiate. It is within this negotiation that they begin to let go and release what is in a natural cycle of decay.
At 10:41 PM EST, Mercury squares Uranus, once again echoing the issue we talked about on Saturday of empowering and transforming our minds. The connection with Uranus tells the story of the necessity of an unpredictable revolutionary direction of our minds. This speaks to thinking outside the culture. It is moving us toward finding the true, authentic voice that has been so obscured in our world and in our culture.

LIBRA NEW MOON ~ PLANT SEEDS OF RELATIONSHIP GROWTH
Monday, October 12, 2015:
The week begins with emotional intensity as the Moon comes into contact with both Pluto and Uranus. You may feel a sense of intensity and struggle that brings your attention back to the most powerful issues that have driven your life forward since early 2012.
You may need to re-examine a mistake, miscalculation, or a plan that went awry over the past few years. Look clearly at that issue, admit any mistakes, see what you have learned, and contemplate the way forward.
Try to understand how that difficulty brought you to the important place you find yourself now.
At 8:06 PM EDT, the Moon conjunct the Sun at 19° Libra; this begins a New Lunar Cycle. If you perform New Moon Rituals, wait until after 8:06 PM EDT. Your efforts will be more effective and powerful following the exact conjunction.
The start of this Lunar Cycle brings the opportunity for new beginnings in intimate relationships. This could indicate a new relationship or a new path within a current relationship.
This New Moon cycle could also relate to financial issues. If you are not expending your energy toward intimate relationship, this may be a time for new beginnings in how you make or manage your resources or money.
Whatever seeds you choose to plant in the fertile soil of this new cycle have great intensity to support their future growth.
“If your forever was ending tomorrow, would this be how you’d want to have spent it? Listen, the truth is, nothing is guaranteed. So, don’t be afraid. Be alive.” ~ Sarah Dessen

THE LANGUAGE OF RELEASE
Tuesday, October 13, 2015:
Following Monday’s New Moon, Tuesday will bring calm and a pause in problematic emotions. No high expectations on Tuesday.
Occupy yourself with watering the seeds you planted at the New Moon. In general, this is a day for rest; however, it is not too late to plant seeds if you didn’t actually do it on Monday.
Early Tuesday morning, Mercury (finally moving direct) forms a sextile aspect to Saturn. This should be a good day for saying goodbye to people or projects that are no longer useful in your life. Somehow, the language of releasing comes more easily than usual.
Freedom calls you and you are able to articulate clearly and with kindness your path forward. On Tuesday, keep your eyes open for opportunities to structure and understand more about the reality of your current circumstance.
This is a day when you are able to see a new perspective that may deeply support your path forward.
At 5:39 PM EDT, the Moon enters Scorpio leaving behind our desire to be ‘nice’ and moving us into a deeper more powerful state of emotional awareness.

BREAK A TABOO – OUT LOUD!
Wednesday, October 14, 2015:
Wednesday is an interesting day with plenty of emotional activity. The Moon is in Scorpio which offers a state of deep emotional contemplation.
Within the context of this deep emotional energy, the Moon brings aspects of ease, flow, opportunity, and possibility to the table.
This is not a day to stand still. This is a day to pay attention to what is traditionally hidden. Some great opportunities may arise out of areas you would least expect them.
Don’t shy away from conversations that may not be polite or expected. Go ahead and engage in conversations about the deeper spaces of being human. Talk about sex, death, and anything else that causes your deep personal values to painfully bump up against others values.
It makes me think of a podcasts called: ‘Sex Out Loud’! Yes, give yourself permission to talk about sex, death, and money… out loud! It is interesting that these issues, so crucial to the happiness in our lives, are kept hidden and conversations about them kept so hush-hush.
Look at our common humanity. Break a taboo, at least in your conversations!
“There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” ~ Leonard Cohen

GREAT EMPOWERMENT
Thursday, October 15, 2015:
Once again, those issues that we normally don’t talk about are being called to the table! The Moon, still in Scorpio, is VOC* all day. Perhaps, your contemplation from Wednesday become more internalized on Thursday.
At 11:35 PM EDT, Mars trine Pluto. This may push you to look squarely in the face of any power dynamics in your relationships. Get clear about where you wield power over others or where others have power over you.
Get very clear about how you want to manage your own power or how you want to respond to any misuse of power by others. The cycle between Mars and Pluto began in November 2014. The cycle between these two malefics brings powerful and intense energies, indeed!
Consider what began in November, demanded action in March, and came into clarity in mid-July. This has been a difficult issue for you.
Now, with the trine between these planets you are able to understand where you have been with this cycle and you are able to bring your understanding to others.
You have learned something here that someone in your life needs to hear about. Share what you have learned.
Thursday is a day of great empowerment. If you want to accomplish something, today you will get it done.
Because of the VOC* Moon, it would be best to put your energy into a project you will complete by the end of the day, something that does not have a future agenda attached to it. One bite; get it done
“Happiness is not having what you want. It is appreciating what you have.”

EXPLORE FANTASY
Friday, October 16, 2015:
After Thursday’s full day of VOC* Moon, Friday brings an energy of exploration and fun with the Moon in Sagittarius. She is fully engaged with Mercury, Venus, Saturn, and Neptune.
Spend time looking forward; exploring options and dreaming big.
Friday evening offers an interesting perspective on your life and situation. This would be an easy energy to misuse this evening. It would be wise to avoid the temptation of mind-altering substances including, but not limited to, alcohol.
Venus opposes Neptune brings your attention to a dream that you have been enamored of on since the beginning of February 2015.
At this point in time, that dream is as fully realized as it ever will be. It would be a good idea this weekend to touch, (or even push) , on that dream. With Neptune involved, clarity is not solid or predictable. However, the full energy is now released.
The dream, in the direction you began it in February, will not go any further than it is now. Enjoy what has been built. It will be time to embark on a new dream in early Spring 2016. You will begin to see the glimmers of that new transcendent path in early January.
Enjoy where you are now. This could be an evening of exploring fantasies, losing yourself to music, dance, sex, or mystical realms of all kinds. Allow a gentle surreal light to shine within you.
If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Understand that what is real may be well hidden by those rose colored glasses.
Don’t make any promises you are not sure you can keep. There may be an unseen space between reality and what you see. This should be a great night for fantasy play of all types.
“Be strong enough to let go and patient enough to wait for what you deserve.” ~ Unknown

A TIME TO CHANGE YOUR OPINION
Saturday, October 17, 2015:
Saturday brings another active day of exploration and internal excitement. The afternoon could bring surprises and unexpected perspectives on your situation or your own inner patterns of behavior.
Saturday evening, Mars conjunct Jupiter at 6:39 PM EDT. This starts a new cycle of bringing activity and passion to your beliefs and opinions.
You could find yourself hotly debating or defending your opinions. In the process of this hot debate or defense, you may discover your own beliefs and opinions changing direction.
Allow yourself to change your mind. Allow yourself to have new opinions; do not let your ego hold tightly to what your deeper self knows needs to be released. Bring fresh new ideas to your opinions.

MORNING REST; AFTERNOON PRODUCTIVITY
Sunday, October 18, 2015:
Sunday looks like a great date day for rest. Following a sextile to the Libra Sun while we sleep, the Moon is VOC* in Sagittarius until she enters Capricorn at 2:53 PM EDT.
Enjoy a slow leisurely start to the day.
This was an intense week, anticipate an easier week next week.
If you have any serious home projects or preparations for winter, this afternoon should be perfect. Don’t try to get started too early, rest and take care of yourself in the morning but then turn your full attention to productivity.
“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.” ~ George Bernard Shaw

This week: The VOC* Moon!
VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!
Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!
If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! * In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
