ARIES NEW MOON – TIME TO BEGIN (For some of us!)

Monday, March 27 2017:

The New Moon is not exact until 10:58 PM EDT! Even though today is the day of the New Moon, save your excitement for Tuesday! 😉

Monday, very likely gets off to a slow start, with the feeling that you are dragging your feet. When the Moon enters aggressive Aries at 10:10 AM EDT, you may expect to feel more engaged and ready for activity and yet, with Mars (the ruler of Aries), forming a sextile to Neptune at 12:44 PM EDT, you may continue feeling dreamy and not quite ready to make a commitment to moving forward.

On January 1st, the cycle between Mars and Neptune began. Did you make a commitment to a significant New Year’s resolution that involved a dream that you wanted to create or, perhaps, your desire was to create an expanded spiritual practice? Think back to that time and re-engage your commitment to that dream.

There is no need to push yourself to do anything about it at this time, just go back and re-explore those ideas. There will be time for further action in mid-May.

Here on the East Coast, we are in the dark of the Moon throughout the day, be sure to adjust for your Time Zone.

At 10:58 PM EDT, (if you are on the West Coast, this will occur at 7:53 PM PDT), we come to the New Moon. On Tuesday, your energy will return and you will be ready to begin! Unless you stay up late on Monday, you should start your New Moon ritual on Tuesday. With each New Moon, remember to wait to complete your ritual until after the actual time of the event.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:20 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 10:10 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

TAKE ACTION WITH CONSCIOUS INTENT

Tuesday, March 28, 2017:

Because the New Moon occurred late on Monday, you will want to do your New Moon ritual on Tuesday. With each New Moon, remember to wait and perform your ritual after the actual time of the event.

On the East Coast, where I write from, the exact time of the New Moon was Monday at 10:58 PM EDT, on the West Coast it was 7:53 PM PDT; adjust accordingly.

The Sun and the Moon in hotheaded Aries make challenging contact over the next 24 hours with the ongoing stressful configuration of Jupiter (whose job it is to expand whatever it touches), Uranus (whose job it is to revolutionize whatever it touches), and Pluto (whose job it is to empower or destroy whatever it touches).

Watch yourself for overly aggressive attitudes and behaviors. Listen for that edge of aggravation and impatience in your voice. When you heart that tone in others, consciously reject the tendency to take it personally. Each of us is ready to blast forward in some area. With this powerful, fiery energy, it is not easy to take others into consideration.

Take direct and deliberate action only after you have slowed your breathing and connected consciously with the true higher purpose of this action.

For your New Moon ritual, set an intention regarding the ability to assertively begin something new. If you know what house on your birth chart holds 7° Aries, it will help you determine what seed to plant. If you don’t have that information, simply go with your instinct of what area of your life needs additional courage and assertiveness.

Don’t neglect this New Moon ritual. Keep it simple. Take a moment to write down what you wish to begin, create, or increase in this upcoming cycle. Have two candles available for your ritual. Light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are at this moment in time. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you aspire to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. As you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you are creating, as you bring the two candles closer together. At the Full Moon in two weeks, bring them fully together and see the results of what you have created. Share this ritual with your friends and loved ones.

The Aries New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of determination and dynamic courage. Prepare yourself to grow in bravery and independence

SHARE YOUR THINKING

When the Moon enters Taurus at 11:47 AM EDT, you will be able to bring more calm and steadfast patience into the day. At 2:16 PM EDT, Mercury forms an easy trine aspect to enduring Saturn, further settling your mind in focused determination on your path forward.

In early April, Mercury will be turning retrograde. If you have plans, projects, or communications that you are thinking about accomplishing, this is the time to begin the process. If you begin them now, you will be able to accomplish a great deal during the Mercury retrograde (April 9th – May 3rd). Think about ideas and plans on the horizon that will require intelligent thoughtful discipline.

Throughout the afternoon and evening, you should be easily able to engage in conversations that will be beneficial to both parties. In the midst of these crazy times, this is a good opportunity to think and act on stabilizing your relationships.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:07 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 11:47 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

TRUST THE PROCESS

Thursday, March 30, 2017:

Thursday brings us back to a harder edge of the current story. The good news is that the sensitive Moon continues through tried and true Taurus allowing you to stay calm even in the face of serious challenges. The day begins with a bit of dreamy imagination as the Moon sextile soft Neptune at 8:33 AM EDT.

At 11:50 AM EDT, when the Moon conjunct angry Mars, your patience may lose its grip. That quickly moving transit, which generally would simply feel like momentary anger, immediately leads us to Jupiter (which enlarges every issue) forming an argumentative square aspect to power hungry Pluto at 2:18 PM EDT. This is an aspect that will amplify issues regarding control and the expansion of manipulation of power. Watch how this plays out in the government, your family, communities, and within your own mind.

Any fear that this introduces must be faced directly and can be transformed as the Moon forms a trine aspect to Pluto, which will show positive side of empowered transformation.

This is an intense day. Breathe deeply, hold steady, and trust the process.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:13 PM EDT until she enters Gemini on Friday at 12:41 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

QUIET THE MIND

Friday, March 31, 2017:

Friday may begin slowly but with the Moon’s entry into Gemini at 12:41 PM EDT, you will find yourself pushing forward with plenty of drive, chatter, and activity.

Your thinking, however, settles into a deeper composure when Mercury, the planet responsible for how we think, talk, and process information, enters the slow moving realm of Taurus.

On April 9th, Mercury will turn retrograde but will remain in Taurus until April 19th, when it will return to Aries to bring you the opportunity to say what you weren’t able or willing to say over the past few weeks.

During the time between April 9th and April 19th, you will get clear on how to express the communication that needs to be delivered in a way that shows your own steady clarity while not ruffling anyone’s feathers. Put those dates on your calendar now. 😉

The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Gemini on Friday at 12:41 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

MAKE FUN PLANS FOR SATURDAY EVENING!

Saturday April 1, 2017:

You will probably wake up on the right side of the bed with plenty of thoughts and ideas of how to spend the day. With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Gemini, plenty of possibilities abound! Although, this morning you may experience a bit of sluggishness. Allow it to pass without engaging in it and get on with your day.

At 8:01 PM EDT, when the friendly, socially active Gemini Moon forms an encouraging trine aspect to wide ranging and expansive Jupiter, you may find yourself searching for parties or dance clubs for the evening.

This is definitely a social Saturday night. Don’t stay home or anticipate a quiet evening alone. Search out fun, engaging, social activities! Whatever you do, invite your friends!

GROW IN COMPASSION & HEART

Sunday, April 2, 2017:

If you partied too much on Saturday night, you may wake regretting it. With the Gemini Moon opposing Saturn at 10:42 AM EDT, you may be experiencing a bit of self -judgment. You may not have overdone it at all but there is a sense that you should have been more circumspect with your time and your words. Release your grasp and attachment to that self-assessment!

At 2:27 PM EDT, the Moon enters emotional, family oriented Cancer. At this point, you may want to spend time with your closest intimates and loved ones. The afternoon is best spent cooking or otherwise nesting at home.

At 8:25 PM EDT, Venus, on her retrograde path, backs into Pisces once more. How has your contemplation of your deep values and attitudes toward love and money been progressing over the past few weeks? As this ongoing contemplation moves back into mystical Pisces, soften your focus and allow compassion for past actions (your own and others) to grow. Venus will remain in passive, healing Pisces until April 28th, when she will return to determined Aries in forward, action oriented motion. For now, develop compassion and empathy to engage with the softest part of your huge heart.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:42 AM EDT until she enters Cancer at 2:27 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: July 18, 2016 through July 24, 2016

I will begin by saying this looks like a fairly simple week. Other than the transits of the Moon and the Capricorn Full Moon on Tuesday the 19th, we have simple, flowing trine aspects from Mercury to Saturn on Tuesday and from Venus to Saturn on Wednesday. On Friday, the Sun enters the hot, dramatic sign of Leo!

FOCUS ON WORK & EFFORT

Monday, July 18, 2016:

I know we all have vacation and summer sun on our minds but this Monday is best suited for ambitious effort and work. If you are heading to the office, you will likely find your work ethic strong and should be able to get a lot accomplished. The ability to remain focused and disciplined is powerful.

At 1:36 PM EDT, the pragmatic Capricorn Moon may surprise itself when an opportunity is presented that can only be managed through listening to your intuition. Don’t fight against it; as the Capricorn Moon sextile Neptune your imagination and intuition may open doors to support a serious or ambitious project

At 9:25 PM EDT, the Moon conjunct Pluto refocuses us on maintaining a more stable approach and firmer control.

CAPRICORN FULL MOON: STABILIZE

Tuesday, July 19, 2016:

Tuesday begins with mental Mercury forming a trine aspect to serious Saturn. This signifies the need for clear, stable thinking. Our thinking is serious and our ability to learn or express thoughts and ideas is steadfast.

In late November 2015, when these two planets began their current cycle, we began a thought process that came into full view approximately a month ago. Now, with the trine aspect between them, it is time to release that energy into the world; perhaps, there is a conversation that must be had or a story that needs to be written.

Contemplate the timeframe and allow what needs to occur to flow easily. Over the coming months, the issue will be released and a new cycle of thought development will begin in November of 2016.

At 1:06 PM EDT, the realistic Capricorn Moon forms a challenging square to unpredictable Uranus. This may feel a bit emotionally unnerving. Even as our intellectual process feels solid, our emotions could take an unusual turn by afternoon.

The Capricorn Full Moon is exact at 6:57 PM EDT. This brings the lunar cycle that began on July 4th into full expression. If, at that time, you planted a seed in hopes of creating ‘family’, now you see the full results and the stability of what is developing.

At 11:11 PM EDT, the Moon enters rebellious Aquarius which will reverberate into progressive attitudes and unusual behaviors over the next few days.

SHINE ON – STEP FORWARD

Wednesday, July 20, 2016:

Following the stabilization of your  thought process on Tuesday (Mercury trine Saturn), Wednesday offers a similar sense of flow. Between relationship and beauty oriented Venus to determined Saturn, this aspect brings stabilization and sweet delight to the area of relationship and possibly, money (Venus trine Saturn).

A great day to explore your most personal beliefs around finances, to create art, or to simply go out to dinner and hold the hand of your dearest loved one. Your values feel strong and unshakable.

This cycle began in early January with a structuring and stabilization of values, came to its full potential the first week of June, and now flows easily as we release the energy into the world.

The quirky Aquarius Moon encourages us to stay emotionally detached from this process, enabling stabilization to occur without deep emotional turmoil.  Shine your light and step forward with easy.

ALLOW FOR SPACE AND FREEDOM

Thursday, July 21, 2016:

With the domestic Moon in open-minded Aquarius, we may have an unusual approach to our home and our loved ones on Thursday. The Moon is happiest in an emotional Water Sign (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) or even a grounded Earth Sign (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn).  Aquarius is progressive, innovative, and objective.

Emotions don’t want to be objective, they want to flow like a river and move easily through empathy, mysteries, and tenderness. This is not a day to expect yourself or others to connect emotionally. Give yourself and others space and freedom.

We will all function more easily if we engage in unconventional, innovative projects that express humanitarian concerns rather than personal concerns.

At 6:54 PM EDT, when the Moon sextile defiant Uranus you may receive unexpected news or unusual ideas may seem to come out of nowhere.

At 9:56 PM EDT, the Moon square assertive Mars could spark an argument or internal agitation. It will be best to spend that period of time alone and get to sleep early. It is only a Moon transit, they do not last very long. As long as you succeed in not engaging the energy in the moment it will pass without due impact.

PLAY AND DREAM

Friday, July 22, 2016:

By the time we wake up on Friday morning, the Sun will have entered Leo (5:30 AM EDT)! Now, we move into the heat of summer, the height of the Sun’s power. When we think of Leo, we often think of drama, exuberance, and full expression of personality. We may think of Leo’s generosity, playfulness, or his arrogance and grandiosity. Often times, we forget the dignified laziness of the big cats. With the Leo Sun high above, we understand the desire to simply play or sleep. For the coming month, we will all want to vacation, lay in the sun, sleep, and play.

This is not the best time for most of us to be productive, so go ahead, and allow yourself to play.

The Moon enters idealistic Pisces in the wee hours of Friday morning, adding dreamy imagination to our desired play. Allow play and light-hearted joy to permeate the day. Enjoy it to the hilt.

A DAY OF SENSITIVITY

Saturday, July 23, 2016:

You may want to get up early on Saturday morning to engage the brief period of time that the sensitive Pisces Moon sextile the hidden forces of Pluto (exact at 8:08 AM EDT). This brings us face-to-face with an opportunity to deeply engage our deepest shadow side, bringing it to a place of healing and purification.  Spend a few hours in meditation or simply offer your deep wounds to the healing light of inspiration and self-compassion.

With an opposition from the illusory Pisces Moon to expansive Jupiter at 4:25PM EDT, arrange the evening to accommodate emotional sensitivity and optimistic idealism.  Watch any tendencies to drink, drug, or dream more than is healthy for your personal nature.

When you encounter others, keep in mind that they are all in an overly sensitive state of heart and mind. Offer compassion and kindness liberally. Take good care of your heart and the hearts of those around you.

BRIGHT LIGHT

Sunday, July 24, 2016:

Sunday morning you will be ready to shake off all the sensitivity and dreaminess you have been embroiled in over the past few days. At 8:32 AM EDT, the Moon leaves her illusions (Pisces) behind as she embraces dynamic impulsiveness (Aries).  You may not have done much on Saturday and you are ready to make up for it by asserting your personal, possibly flamboyant desires on Sunday.

At 12:17 PM EDT, the courageous Aries Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to the expressive Leo Sun.  This bears witness to a day made for full expression, no holds barred.

You will have more bravery and ability to fully express parts of yourself that you often keep under tight wraps. Sing, dance, and speak the words that need to be spoken.

Forget that conservative outfit you may have been comfortable in on Saturday, Sunday you want to show yourself as your most enthusiastic, dynamic, and impulsive self.  Dress accordingly. Allow yourself to be seen in your brightest light.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 28, 2016 through April 3, 2016

As we end the month of March and move forward into April, we look back on the cycle that began with the Pisces solar eclipse on March 8th and came into its full illumination with the Libra lunar eclipse on March 23rd.  These eclipses have brought new perspectives, new opportunities, and the potential to resolve powerful challenges.

~ Heads Up! ~  During the month of April, we will have Mars turning retrograde on the 18th and Mercury turning retrograde on the 28th.  It is not too soon to begin considering how to work with the inward movement of these energies.  Begin an awareness of what projects you would like to complete during the Mercury retrograde.

Mars is a bit more complex and we will talk about as we get closer to the time.

However, do remember during the time of Mars retrograde you will not want to have any sort of surgery or begin any activity that has potential danger involved. This is not the time to learn skydiving!  More about this later.

A Walk by Rainer Maria Rilke

My eyes already touch the sunny hill.
going far ahead of the road I have begun.
So we are grasped by what we cannot grasp;
it has inner light, even from a distance-

and charges us, even if we do not reach it,
into something else, which, hardly sensing it,
we already are; a gesture waves us on
answering our own wave…
but what we feel is the wind in our faces.

UPLIFTING CLARITY

Monday, March 28, 2016:

The week begins with the Moon in exuberant, freedom loving Sagittarius.  My hope is that you had a lovely weekend and feel energized and ready to face the upcoming week.

The Sagittarius Moon buoys your energy and puts a positive spin on the day.  At 4:12 PM EDT, the Moon conjuncts Mars and shortly after, forms a lovely flowing trine aspect to the Sun in Aries.

This is a day of delightfully uplifting energy.  Allow yourself to bask in clarity.  You know where you are headed and can grasp excitement on your path.  If this is not your experience, ask yourself if you are living your own truth or are trying to please someone else.

At 11:50 PM EDT, the Moon squares Neptune allowing sweet dreams and lovely inspiration.

A WILD CARD

Tuesday, March 29, 2016:

Tuesday may be a bit of a wild card.

The Sagittarius Moon continues to seek expansive understanding and yet her conjunction with Saturn at 11:18 AM EDT suggests a restrictive influence on your optimism.  Do your best to allow criticism to roll off your back.  Do not take it personally, if you let the situation pass without reaction the negativity will eventually dissipate.

At 9:55 PM EDT, the Moon forms a square aspect to Venus, pushing you to question your desires and your method of pursuing them.

The day ends with Mercury trine Saturn.  This allows you to settle yourself into a more practical state of mind.  Engaging with a more mature line of thinking allows for mental clarity and a more stable mind.

If you normally meditate in the morning, make an exception on Tuesday and take time for meditation before you sleep.  It is important that you take advantage of this opportunity to bring some stability to your thinking.  Over the coming days, this stability will be challenged.

UNCOVER TRUTH

Wednesday, March 30, 2016:

Seek mystical dreams and the ability to bring compassion to your deepest wounds on Wednesday as Venus conjunct Chiron at 5:07 AM EDT.  Enjoy the gentle sense of awakening to start the day.

Port 01 by MedBerkane via Wiki Commons

Port 01 by MedBerkane via Wiki Commons

Do not try to hold on to that sensitivity or softness.  There are intense energies that will need your attention as you move into the day.

At 10:53 AM EDT, Mercury forms a stressful square to Pluto, the planet of powerful transformation.  Information that is exposed or a line of thinking that envelops you will have a powerful impact moving forward.

The Moon enters Capricorn at 1:45 PM EDT.  This is a serious afternoon; a time to seek honesty, internal integrity, and understanding.

What communication or disclosure will move you forward regarding something that became clear to you between mid-December 2015 and the end of January 2016?  Be brutally honest with yourself.

Secrecy and a lack of integrity will bring you to places you do not want to go. Uncover truth.  Before you look with suspicion into the heart of another, seek your own integrity.  Be aware of your thoughts and how they guide your life.  Be aware of your words and the impact they have on others.

Build integrity.  Spread kindness.

REVOLUTIONARY THOUGHTS

Thursday, March 31, 2016:

On Thursday, the Capricorn Moon forms her Last Quarter Square at 11:17 AM EDT. Anticipate tension between heavy responsibilities and the radical desire to put our own needs first.  Consider how to balance the need to quickly move in new directions while at the same time maintaining your more serious contemplations and responsibilities.  This is a day to work on this balance.

At 4:49 PM EDT, Mercury conjunct Uranus offers alternative perspectives for finding that balance.  The conjunction between Mercury and Uranus begins a new cycle of expanding thoughts and encountering new possibilities, alternative perspectives, and unusual ways of viewing the world.

Big ideas can illuminate your vision on a day like this.  Sudden ideas must be considered and looked at with open minded excitement.

Any study or thought process you begin now will be fully understood and illuminated at the opposition between Mercury and Uranus in October 2016. Revolutionary thoughts, ideas, and communications abound.  Find excitement; find new directions.

Show the world your true colors, say what must be said, show what is truly in your heart.

RECHARGE YOUR BATTERIES

Friday, April 1, 2016:

We all like the energy of Fridays as we head into a freedom filled weekend. However, this Friday is probably lacking that sense of excitement and anticipation. With the Moon in serious, authoritative Capricorn, we spend the early part of the day working hard from a solitary perspective.  The Moon is quiet after 12:40 PM EDT suggested a struggle focusing on getting the normal work of Capricorn done.  There may be much frustration throughout the afternoon as the focus that you need isn’t available and doesn’t engage you.

The best use of this evening is to recharge your batteries and not worry about social activities, spend the evening on your own.  Saturday is another day.

At 9:38 PM EDT, the Moon leaves the heavy work environment of Capricorn behind and enters Aquarius bringing more unpredictable and innovative thinking to the later part of the evening.

HIGH INNOVATIVE ENERGY

Saturday, April 2, 2016:

Saturday brings the freedom and anticipation you were unable to tap into on Friday.  The Aquarius Moon rules the day!

This is a day of intellectual exploration; you will be drawn to what is new and unusual.  The Moon in Aquarius is a great time for social gatherings, dealing with humanitarian ideals, goals for the future, innovative brainstorming, and new ideas. This could be a difficult day to stick with schedules as your personal freedom is of the utmost importance to you.

Do not try to control yourself or others.  Seek freedom, offer freedom, encourage freedom.  With the Aquarius Moon forming a sextile to both Mars in Sagittarius and the Aries Sun, this is a day of high-energy.

What will you do with this day?  How can your activities progress humanity forward?  Think about this and take one small step forward.

SEEK INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

Sunday, April 3, 2016:

Sunday graces us with the innovative, rebellious energy of Aquarius that began on Friday.  The Aquarius Moon forms delightful aspects of potential and opportunity, to Saturn, Uranus, and Mercury.  People often get confused and think that Aquarius is a Water sign as it is called “The Water Bearer”.  Please remember that Aquarius is an Air Sign.  As an Air Sign, Aquarius is connected to intellectualism, innovation, and new ideas that bring the world to an expanded level of awareness.

Aquarius brings us the nature of upheaval and rebellion.  This revolutionary energy is necessary in order to leave the past behind and move into a new way of thinking.

Some of you will experience the anxiety of rebellion on Sunday, while others will experience the corresponding excitement. This is due, in part, to the particulars of your own horoscope and partly, it is simply a choice.

On Sunday, you can make unique choices; you do not need to stay with the status quo.  Seek out the original ideas that will change your world and the world around you.  There are new, unexpected pathways to solve the problems in our lives, our communities, and our world.

This is not a day to seek practical accomplishment but a day to expand your mind. Gather with like-minded people or folks who are willing to look at new perspectives and seek innovative solutions.  Play with ideas.  Enjoy diversity.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: July 20, 2015 through July 26, 2015

How intense was last week for you? Dealing with the energies of both Mercury and Mars dancing intensely within the dark realm of Pluto certainly provided many of us with a challenging week!

Sunflowers by Laurie Farrington of St. Albans, VT

As we begin another week, we are stabilized by the Sun and Mercury, forming trine aspects to Saturn. This should help us stabilize any upheaval that we were left with from last week. Be sure you take advantage of the stabilization offered, as we head into more intensity later this week.

On Wednesday, the Sun enters Leo! Now, we enter the heat of the Summer here in the Northern Hemisphere. On Thursday, Mercury enters Leo as well when we each must find our own voice that truly expresses all of who we are.

Remember, if you have a birthday while the Sun is in Leo you are allowed the full month for celebration! Leo is ruled by the Sun and has the energy of full generosity to live up to. Think of the heat of the Sun and the generosity and expression of growth; that is Leo!

As we head deeper into the week, our anxiety may bring a message to the table as Mars approaches a square aspect to Uranus, which will be exact on Saturday.

Uranus turns retrograde on Saturday as well. This retrograde is bringing some of the intense energy of innovation underground where revolution will simmer until Uranus turns direct in late December of 2015.

On to the dailies!

CONSIDER AND REACH FOR YOUR POTENTIAL

Monday, July 20, 2015:

The week begins smoothly enough with the Moon in Virgo, making lovely aspects to Pluto, Mars, and Mercury throughout the day.

This allows us easy access to powerful energies of accomplishment. If you have physical work to do, the energy should be available to you. If you have intellectual projects or communications that you need to deliver, this should be an excellent day to get those done as well.

Monday favors careful detailed work in all that you do. We are asked to clearly consider our full potential. Take time to make a plan to live up to your potential.

Don’t be too hard on yourself that you have not yet reached where you know you are capable of being. Accept yourself exactly where you are, and only then make a specific plan that will lead you in the direction of the potential you know you have.

This is a day to encourage others, even as you plan your own growth.

FRESH FLOWERS MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Tuesday, July 21, 2015:

Another day with lovely aspects to the Moon, all which are assisting our emotional nature in maintaining equilibrium.

At 6:07 AM EDT, the Moon goes VOC* in Virgo until she enters Libra at 9:23 AM EDT. This brief VOC* Moon will interfere with very little.

The remainder of the day is lovely with the Cancer Sun forming an easy trine to Saturn at 7:07 AM EDT. We are given another opportunity to teach others the skills we have learned to manage deep emotions.

We have so much Cancer in our environment at this time; it is not easy for some of us to manage the depth of emotions that can occur.

Spend the late afternoon and evening in the pursuit of beauty and harmony. If you want to go out for meal, make sure to spring for the beautiful place, no hole in the wall the matter how good the food is!

Make sure you have fresh flowers on your dining room table and at your desk! The importance of beauty and harmony in your environment is the most important thing for Tuesday.

Keep that in mind as you engage with others; consider kindness in all that you do.

SUN ENTERS LEO; PREPARE FOR PLEASURE & HEAT

Wednesday, July 22, 2015:

If you love the Cancer part of Summer best of all, make sure you take extra time to enjoy this day. Shortly after you go to bed Wednesday night (11:30 PM EDT), the Sun leaves Cancer behind and we turn into the more dramatic, self expressive part of the summer: Leo!

As the Leonine energy envelops us over the coming weeks, it is good to consider the teaching that Leo brings. Leo teaches self-expression. Anyone with a strong Leo component is called to untangle themselves internally in order to fully express their most authentic self.

If you love someone with a strong Leo component, the most important thing is to deeply appreciate the generosity and authenticity of the Leo’s self-expression.

Mercury trine Saturn (1:50 PM EDT) brings stability and clarity to our communications and adding to the already steady atmosphere from Sun trine Saturn on Tuesday.

This is an advantageous time for constructive thought projects of all sorts. Work on a writing project or simply make the time and space to say what needs to be said.

CELEBRATE LEO WITH EXPRESSIVE GENEROSITY

Thursday, July 23, 2015:

Thursday sees Mercury hurrying to keep up with the Sun, entering Leo at 8:14AM EDT. To me, this is the time to go on vacation or have a party!

The Sun is in its glory bringing dramatic warmth, generosity, creativity, and playfulness to the planet and asking that we dedicate ourselves to pleasure. Venus loves her time in Leo!

Venus represents our sensual and romantic attractions, our desire and ability to form intimate partnerships, and what we value and see as beautiful in our world.

With both the Sun and Venus in Leo, we respond to love and beauty with generosity and dramatic excitement.

The Moon in VOC* following a sextile to Jupiter at 2:12PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 10:07PM EDT.

Enjoy the afternoon or evening with seductive pleasures. Sit in the Sun on your deck with a good book and a cold iced tea! Create an evening of pure pleasure. That may include pampering yourself or others. Show generosity of spirit to everyone you encounter, particularly yourself.

LOVE YOURSELF FIRST

Friday, July 24, 2015:

The Moon will be in Scorpio on Friday, forming the First Quarter Lunar Phase. If you set an intention or began something on the Cancer New Moon (July 15th), this is the day to take a specific action to move that issue forward. Get clear on what that action is to be early in the day so that its execution will not hold you back with indecision.

Please understand that the First Quarter Square is when the Sun (in Leo) forms a challenging Square aspect to the Moon (in Scorpio).

You will want to consider where you are feeling pulled in two very different directions. You may want to express yourself very dramatically or show deep generosity while at the same time feeling the need for privacy and introspection.

The process of balancing these very different energies and respecting each of them as having as valid a place at the table will teach you something important today. Pay attention.

Be aware of how easy it is to project your internal stress onto another. Each direction that pulls you comes from within. Stay aware of the tendency to play the ‘blame game’.

Accept all of who you are, your true authentic self, with all your contradictions. Make space for the outward drama and the private introspection. Love yourself first.

VENUS RETROGRADE: WHAT & HOW DO YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE?

Saturday, July 25, 2015:

Astrologers, and would be astrologers, love to get dramatic about all kinds of astrological events.

On Friday at 5:29 AM EDT, Venus turns retrograde, remaining in retrograde motion until September 6, 2015. Venus was last in retrograde between December 21, 2013 and January 31, 2014.

If you keep a journal, you may find clues to your own response to this reversed energy of beauty and love. As with the Mercury retrograde cycles, I like to look at this from a relatively simple perspective. Venus refers to our ability to form partnerships, our personal values, and our sensual pleasures.

During this retrograde cycle, we must stop and carefully examine our attitudes toward finances, love relationships, our comfort in social situations, and our ability to enjoy our own sensuality, and connection to our bodies.

All of these things must be reevaluated during this time. We do not want to take any steps forward regarding these issues. This is not a good time to start a new love relationship, although it is an important time to reevaluate, and possibly reconnect, with a past relationship. Do not take permanent action in any of these areas; this is a time to simply reevaluate.

When I speak of re-evaluating relationship, it is important to clarify that it is the relationship being reevaluated, NOT the person you are in relationship with.

Early Saturday morning, we also encounter Mars square Uranus. This is an anxiety producing aspect, which is asking us to take a conscious step forward.

Think back to early March 2015; that was the beginning of the cycle between Mars and Uranus. This is a cycle of intensifying physical energy. This energy can be shocking and intense, with a physically active, possibly a sexual component.

Now, you will want to take action on what began in March 2015. Consider what began then and the appropriate action now. Anticipate a surprising event, conversation, or idea that will make the appropriate action clear.

The Moon is in Scorpio throughout the day; allow for a deeply intense day, indeed.

ROAD TRIP FOR EXPLORATION

Sunday July 26, 2015:

By 8:25 AM EDT, we have passed a brief VOC* Moon and then she is in Sagittarius for the next few days. Take a road trip; explore a new place, a new idea, or a new friendship.

Expand your mind through the search for enlightenment or the simple excitement of a party! Your choice: seek out a church, a meditation hall, travel, or go to a wild party.

You can expand your awareness about the higher purpose of your life and your beliefs in any of these arenas.

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!

If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Tuesday, July 21, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Virgo) following a sextile to Saturn at 6:07 AM EDT, until she enters Libra at 9:23 AM EDT.

Thursday, July 23, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Libra) following a sextile to Jupiter at 2:12 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 10:07 PM EDT

Sunday, July 26, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Scorpio) following a conjunction to Saturn at 5:15 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 8:25 AM EDT.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 30, 2015 through April 5, 2015

The beginning of the week brings much lovely and powerful energy our way as mid-week we move into a new month.

The upcoming shift of Mercury and Mars creates a push/pull dynamic to our lives. Our thinking heats up and moves more quickly and, yet, our actions slow down and become more determined and focused.

On Monday, Mercury, the planet of communication, leaves the imaginative but foggy space of Pisces behind to enter Aries. This fiery energy makes our thinking hot and fast. We may be surprised at the direct, assertive edge our thinking and conversations take on. Venus trine Pluto brings our attention to understanding our responsibility towards the health of our relationships and finances. This has been a learning curve since December 2014.

On Tuesday, Mars leaves his home sign of Aries behind to enter the more stable arena of Taurus and our actions slow down, becoming more determined and focused.

The Moon is VOC* all day on Thursday, encouraging us to rest. Mercury trine Saturn brings our thoughts to serious issues , significant understandings, and/or important communications. The Sun trine Jupiter offers us an open window on generosity and pleasure. Thursday looks like a wonderful day.

Saturday brings us the Full Moon in Libra, which the Moon opposition to the Sun, offering clarity on something that has been brought to your attention over the past two weeks.

At the end of the weekend, the Sun squares Pluto reminding us that we still have a great deal of work to do in order to assimilate the profound changes that have occurred in our lives and in the world since the summer of 2012. Sunday brings us face-to-face with empowerment or overwhelm. Remember to breathe.

Since the final square between Uranus and Pluto earlier this month, we all want to put the past 2 1/2 years behind us and have a fresh start. It is natural to desire an end to the intensity but we must not underestimate the importance of the assimilation process that we are now beginning. There is power in the transformation and we are now beginning the process of securing an inner peace with where we find ourselves.

If you are ready to understand this process in your own life; contact me for a consultation. We can explore what the changes mean in the wider context of your life and help you determine your path forward.

Monday, March 30, 2015:

Monday starts with the Moon in Leo making a beautiful connection with the planet of expansion and generosity, Jupiter. This is a wonderful way to begin the week!

While we are still sleeping on Sunday night, Venus makes a lovely, free-flowing trine to Pluto. This is the extension of a cycle that began in late December 2014. That was the beginning of a cycle of empowering our values. This cycle may represent a love relationship or, more literally, it may refer to the development of financial security, or something else deeply valuable to you personally.

Think about late December, what were you consciously beginning to build upon? Was it a romantic or loving relationship, or was it more tangible such as money or “stuff” of value? Whatever began for you in December is now in a place of free flowing growth. It is clear where you are headed. It may feel as though nothing can slow you down. Your values are empowered and your empowerment comes through as beauty, value, and love.

Following a trine to Uranus at 9:57 AM EDT, the Moon is VOC* until she enters Virgo on Tuesday at 2:12 PM EDT.

Mercury, the planet that relates to our thinking and communications, enters Aries at 9:43 PM EDT. Over the coming days, you may notice that is easy to speak your mind, or that it is more difficult to be subtle in your communications. As you look around at your community and the world, you may see that things are being said more aggressively than they have been over the past weeks.

Those with a very sensitive nature may feel somewhat overwhelmed by the aggression surrounding conversations and communications in the outer world.

We would all do well to remember that many folks are sensitive to the kind of harsh or abrasive communications that Aries is fond of delivering. Try to be aware of others’ sensitivity and what they may need to feel safe.

All in all, this begins a powerful week of moving forward.

Tuesday, March 31, 2015:

Tuesday begins with the Moon still VOC*. If at all possible, get a slow start on the day and keep an attitude of restfulness until the Moon enters Virgo at 2:12 PM EDT.

At 12:26 PM EDT, Mars leaves behind his own aggressive sign of Aries to enter the steadfast stubborn arena of Taurus. Mars is the planet of action; we may have noticed a lot of things moving very quickly and aggressively since Mars entered Aries on February 19th.

The ring upon thy hand – ah be implored! For Wotan fling it away! by Arthur Rackham

With the new Taurean energy, our push forward becomes more deliberate and steadfast. We have a renewed ability to take our time and show more patience. Following the Moon’s entrance into Virgo, we have an opportunity to accomplish a great deal. We are firmly grounded, steady, and pushing forward.

What can you accomplish on Tuesday afternoon? Look for a project that requires patience, precision, and perfectionism. Maybe you need to complete your taxes? Spring clean your house? Do not be in a hurry. Do maintain your focus. Put your attention in one place, on one thing, and push steadily in that direction.

If you begin this project at or around 2:15 PM EDT, you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish in the hours before you wrap up that project. Don’t be in a hurry to stop this work; go ahead and work into the night. You will be glad you did.

Wednesday, April 1, 2015:

Wednesday is very much an extension of Tuesday; once again offering the ability to work hard and get a lot accomplished. Wednesday is a day to move steadily in the direction you want to. What is the new dream you are working on? Plan, make calls, do the nitty, gritty work to move this project forward.

Don’t be in too much of a hurry to begin as the early morning hours may feel a bit dreamy or unfocused due to an opposition between the Moon and Neptune at 7:31 AM EDT. Neptune makes everything a bit dreamy but do not worry, the lack of focus will not last very long and you will be ready to move forward by mid-morning.

Once again, you may find yourself working late as the evening hours have great potential for productivity. Consider the purpose of the project that you are working on, the project that you are using this planetary energy to move forward. Make sure you are spending this energy in the most worthwhile manner.

If you are working toward something that is only of benefit to you, this would not be a good place to be putting your energies. This is a day to offer your services for the benefit of others. Within the context of your hard work today, consider how this moves others forward.

Kindness is often a misunderstood part of the Virgo archetype. Wednesday evening when the Virgo Moon trine Pluto, service and kindness to others will bring value to all of us.

Thursday, April 2, 2015:

Thursday, we have another full day with the moon VOC* in Virgo following a trine to Venus. Our desire for refinement and our attention on potential (our own and others) is highlighted.

At 8:20 AM EDT, Mercury trine Saturn bring our attention back to last November.
How have you been trying to stabilize your thinking and the way that your mind works? Did you start a new discipline of mind late last fall; meditation or a significant study? Was there something serious that consumed your mind at that time? Now, consider bringing your understanding of this matter to others. You have learned enough to teach.

The cycle between the Sun and Jupiter began in July of 2014; where was your life expanded in a powerful new way at that time?

Both of these cycles (Mercury &Saturn, Sun &Jupiter) bring us to the thought of sharing the wisdom that we have learned since the beginning of the cycles. You have learned much since last summer and you are being asked to share with open generosity. I hope you can pinpoint what this is in your life.

Remember, we teach best what we most need to learn. It is often difficult for us to understand how much we have to offer others. At this time, having gone through all that we have gone through over the past year, we have far more to teach and to share. Look inside; what have you learned that should be shared with others? Answer this question this week. Often, the value of your knowledge is hidden as it seems elementary or simple to you but it may be very helpful to someone else.

Friday, April 3, 2015:

By the time we are up on Friday morning, the Moon has entered Libra encouraging us to use diplomacy in all our interactions. This is a great time to spend with your closest loved ones as we are seeking pleasure and the sharing of beauty. Consider using this diplomatic energy to settle differences with people you may not be close to.

This is a very social Friday evening due to the Libran Moon. Don’t spend it home alone. If you have a partner, it may be a nice evening to spend at home, but do consider getting out amongst others. Seek beauty, seek pleasure, and enjoy friends. However, don’t stay up late on Friday night because Saturday morning is just too good to sleep through.

Saturday, April 4, 2015:

Saturday brings us an early-morning Full Moon in Libra. The Full Moon always encourages us to express ourselves fully, to open our eyes and look clearly at our situation from the perspective of our hearts and our minds.

With the Sun in Aries and the Moon in Libra, we must consider the ways in which our desire for partnership and love balances itself with our desire and need for autonomy and self-determination.

I am not going to discuss the eclipse but would encourage you to share your thoughts about the eclipse here or on my Facebook page. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on the matter. You may also want to visit Dark Star Astrology for more information on the eclipse.

The Moon is in Libra all day going VOC* just before midnight.

Consider the Full Libra Moon as a great night for a promising date, clarifying a relationship, or for a gathering of friends. Enjoy.

Sunday, April 5, 2015:

Sunday leads us into the most interesting and perhaps, most challenging day of this week. At 11:07 AM EDT, the Sun squares Pluto.

On Monday, April 5th, the Sun will conjunct Uranus. Take this time to re-examine the changes that you have undergone in your life over the past several years. Contemplate how you are assimilating what you have learned and how you are planning your path forward. Remember that all of these planetary energies are encouraging us to dream new dreams and move forward with love.

The day begins with the Moon still VOC* following an opposition to Uranus just before midnight on Saturday. I can imagine a lot of free-floating anxiety as we look at the bigger picture of how much things have changed and yet our feet are not yet firmly planted on our future path. That is ok! We will be shown our path in time.

This reminds me of a quote: “The bad news is you’re falling through the air, nothing to hang on to, no parachute. The good news is there’s no ground.” ~ Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche

Just as there was no avoiding the major changes, there is also no avoiding the assimilation of the changes. Embrace the future.
