Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: March 6, 2017 through March 12, 2017

Take heart!! At 7:33 PM EST on Thursday, Mars, the planet of war and strife, leaves aggressive Aries behind to enter stabilizing Taurus. You can expect some release of the deep, intense anxiety we have been embroiled in for the past few months.

It is true that Mars would far rather remain in Aries; he does not look forward to his time in Taurus. However, Mars can bring aggression and warlike behavior when in Aries; when he moves into Taurus, he has no choice but to settle down and behave more calmly.
I give this one a thumbs-up.

HEART CENTERED COMMUNICATION
Monday, March 6, 2017:
Following the weekend’s focus on communications and thinking processes, Monday morning when the Moon enters domestic Cancer at 7:54 AM EST, your focus shifts dramatically. You can anticipate a desire for comfort, affection, and sentimentality to easily override your intellectual process. With the Moon in moody and sometimes defensive Cancer, pay attention to your own sensitivity and the possible oversensitivity of others.
At 7:28 PM EST, when the Sun conjoins with mental Mercury in compassionate Pisces, your sensitivity does not diminish in the least but you are able to communicate this deep sensitivity with a clear voice. Bring compassion and clarity to heart-to-heart conversations.
The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:22 AM EST until it enters Cancer at 7:54 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

PLEASANT MORNING – CRABBY AFTERNOON
Tuesday, March 7, 2017:
Tuesday begins easily enough. You may carry over a deep level of compassion and kindness from Monday as the protective Cancer Moon makes lovely aspects to empathetic Neptune, the all-powerful Sun, and perceptive Mercury.
Enjoy the morning; it is the best part of day. Whatever you need to accomplish, get it done early.
From the mid-afternoon through bedtime, the deeply sensitive Cancer Moon forms rough aspects to destructive Pluto, idealistic Jupiter, and defiant Uranus. Don’t be surprised at your own moodiness and the plain crabbiness of others!
Watch your defensiveness and your tendency to seek an escape at the slightest provocation.
Shortly after midnight, your mind will open to powerful opportunities. Expect to encounter these in your dreams. Keep your journal by your bedside to jot down any helpful notes when you wake up on Wednesday morning.

Children Running from a Thunderstorm by Konstantin Makovsky via Wiki CommonsEXPLORING POSSIBILITIES
Wednesday, March 8, 2017:
Wednesday brings a sense of potential with a lovely sextile aspect between mental Mercury (currently in imaginative Pisces) and powerful Pluto. This brings us to the first step in a cycle of empowerment that began on January 29, 2017. The empowerment being developed throughout this cycle is one of mental clarity or growth.  Over the course of this (approximately one year) cycle your thinking or ability to communicate is profoundly deepened. Now is the time to explore what direction this learning will take you.
For example, perhaps at the end of January you decided to embark on a writing project (or perhaps a learning or a communication project), now you begin to explore different approaches or methods that will bring that project forward. It is not yet time to take an active step forward, but a time to think about and explore those next steps.
The time for actual motion forward will come in about two weeks.
At 9:59 AM EST, with the inward Cancer Moon squaring determined Mars, you may feel aggravated and even a bit aggressive. This will pass quickly when the Moon enters vital Leo at 11:46 AM EST. With the sensitivity of Cancer left behind, you can move into a playful, self-expressive afternoon. Get together with friends or spend time with children. Allow your inner child to play and show her truly openhearted generosity.
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:59 AM EST until she enters Leo at 11:46 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

A TIME OF PREPARATION & PATIENCE
Thursday, March 9, 2017:
Thursday is almost like a mirror to Wednesday. You are once again offered the opportunity to consider, without needing to move too quickly, what will most deeply empower your ability to make a difference in the world. What path will empower the development of your gifts to the world? You are asked now to explore what you need to do over the coming weeks that will enable you to make a difference to those around you.
Again, do not take any major steps forward. Explore possibilities and consider the actions you will take over the coming months. This is a time of preparation.
At 7:33 PM EST, Mars leaves his favorite sign of Aries behind and enters the calm, stable pastures of Taurus. Mars is not delighted with this move. He is happy in his home sign of aggressive, angry Aries. However, we need this stability now.
While Mars is in Taurus (until April 23rd), we will learn patience and begin the process of planning our garden. Spring is upon us. Mars in Taurus insists that we stabilize, develop patience and steadfast devotion to our Mother Earth

PLAYFULNESS TURNS TO PRACTICAL CONCERNS
Friday, March 10, 2017:
The playful Leo Moon is expansive, excited, and steady Friday morning as she engages in delightful conversations with Jupiter, Uranus, and Saturn. The afternoon settles down into simplicity as we wait for the Moon’s entry into Virgo at 5:07 PM EST. This shift leads us into a weekend of productivity and efficiency.
It is unlikely to be a terribly exciting weekend but should be highly productive with plenty of opportunities to express kindness along with spring cleaning projects. When the efficient Virgo Moon trine determined Mars at 6:22 PM EDT, jump right on those practical projects. You have amazing energy into the evening to get things done.
At 8:34 PM EST, as Mercury conjoins with Chiron, your communications can bring deep healing to yourself or others. Maintain focus on practical matters, sensitivity, being of service to others, and simple kindness.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:05 PM EST until she enters Virgo at 5:07 EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

HELP OTHERS WITH PRACTICALITY AND SIMPLICITY

Saturday, March 11, 2017:
Any projects that you began on Friday evening will keep you occupied throughout Saturday. This is a weekend for kindness, helping others, and accomplishing organizational projects, not a weekend for excitement and dramatic activities. Detailed work is highlighted with this industrious Virgo Moon.
At 3:07 PM EST, when the Moon opposes elusive Neptune, you may feel a bit confused, dreamy, or inspired to take on a more imaginative or artistic project. If you feel tired, take a nap.
Saturday is simply not a high-energy day but a day of steady, meticulous movement forward. Virgo always seeks to be of service so helping others will come easily and feel satisfying on a deep level. However, be sure you are clear on the difference between being helpful and putting yourself in the position of being a martyr. Helping does not mean rescuing someone who holds a victim role.  Be clear of this distinction and enjoy this simple day of open awareness and generous kindness.

VIRGO FULL MOON – WORK EQUALS MASTERY
Sunday, March 12, 2017:
You may feel as if you were waking up on the wrong side of the bed on Sunday morning. At 8:10 AM EDT, (time changed while you slept!) Mercury forms a square aspect to serious, authoritative Saturn. With Mercury in dreamy Pisces, your mind longs to enter flights of fancy unrestrained by reality. However there is a strong need to step into a more serious thought process.
Did you begin a new study or a new way of thinking in late November 2016? Now, the Universe is pushing you to move forward in a mature responsible way. This is no time for mysticism or lack of clear thinking. Take action on something real, tangible, and solid.
At 10:54AM EDT, the Full Moon occurs at 22 degrees Virgo. Open yourself to a deep level of service. Where can you help others?
With the Full Moon forming challenging aspects to hard working Saturn and thoughtful Mercury (both in passive Pisces), you must understand how hard work and sustained effort is necessary to the development of mastery in your life.
This is a day to look clearly at the places you must put in long term and sustained effort. Remember, that this type of effort builds not only mastery but also self-respect and authority. Support others in building self-respect.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:37 PM EST until she enters Libra at 1:29 AM EDT on Monday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
