EVENING SURPRISES

Monday, July 2, 2018:

Monday begins with a quietly quirky VOC* Aquarius Moon. There’s no need to hurry into this week and attempting to do so will simply leave you frustrated and feeling bad about yourself. Allow quiet and slowness to lead the way.

At 1:31 PM EDT, the Moon enters mystical, poetic Pisces. If you could take today off from work and simply rest, that would be the best use of this day.

At 5:39 PM EDT, the dreamy Pisces Moon forms a sextile aspect to Uranus. You may finally be ready to engage with others and with the world in general. Your dreams and ideals may be sharp, brilliant, and unusual, leading you into fascinating, forward-thinking conversations.

Bring as many people as possible together to share in your new ideas and listen to the ideas they are willing to share as well. Enjoy the evening’s surprises.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspect made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) all morning until she enters Pisces at 1:31 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

LISTEN TO THE TREES SING

Tuesday, July 3, 2018:

Here, in the U.S, with tomorrow being our Independence Day, perhaps you were able to take today off as well. It seems a shame to waste such a sweet and dreamy day at a job unless of course, you are lucky enough (as I am) to do work you truly love.

The Moon is in Pisces throughout the day, forming a lovely Grand Trine with the sensitive Cancer Sun and Jupiter in powerful Scorpio. This configuration offers the opportunity to block out the parts of our lives that are overwhelmingly difficult and simply enjoy the sweetness that is also present in each day.

Go for a walk in nature and open your eyes and your heart to the natural world. Have you listened recently to the trees sing?

MAINTAIN EASE

Wednesday, July 4, 2018:

These first few days of the week are relatively easy ones. Clearly, that depends on how some of the heavier planets are impacting you directly. We certainly can’t forget that Mars (retrograde in Aquarius) will reach a state of considerable difficulty on Thursday. You may feel the energy of agitation building throughout Wednesday.

The Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow and perhaps even let challenges bypass you altogether. Thursday is soon enough to deal with what is poking at you! Does it feel like a pebble in your shoe that you can’t stop long enough to remove?
For now, spend the day with your rose-colored glasses firmly affixed.

Here in the U.S., this is a holiday, perhaps you are with family and friends. If you feel anger, impatience, or frustration building, take time for meditation or go ahead and have that extra glass of wine. Whatever it takes to help you to maintain ease.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 5:47 AM EDT until she enters Aries in the wee hours of Thursday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

SLOW DOWN

Thursday, July 5, 2018:

If you had Wednesday off from work for the July 4th holiday, it may actually be a relief to get back to your desk on Thursday. Thursday morning brings the assertive Aries Moon along with a hard aspect between Mercury and retrograde Mars. Find a way to release energy that will not come back to bite you.

You may feel angry and have a difficult time controlling your desire to speak your mind with little or no tact. Watch the words and the tone of what needs to be said. Perhaps, writing your thoughts (pause & think before hitting the ‘Send’ button) will help to organize your thinking and make clear what needs to be said.

There is a tendency to blurt out immediately what comes to mind. Hold on and wait or go for a run and release physical energy. That will help.

Remember, before you speak, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If you follow this, very little will be said and you will get through the day with your relationships intact.

SEEK COURAGE

Friday, July 6, 2018:

Friday brings us to the 3rd Quarter Moon phase with the sensitive Cancer Sun being challenged by the aggressive Moon in Aries. Where are you feeling pulled to move forward with more courage than you feel you have? Where is your distrust of your own strength holding you back?

At 2:55 PM EDT, with the take-charge Aries Moon squaring powerful Pluto, you are given the opportunity or the expectation to dig deeply into hidden corners of your psyche. Find a level of courage you are not accustomed to working with. Take a step forward, face your fears, and let go of something that has been holding you in a position of victimhood. Freedom exists on the other side.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

SLEEP OUTDOORS

Saturday, July 7, 2018:

Try to sleep until the Moon enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT on Saturday morning and approach the day with a perspective of slow, sensual awareness. Enjoy cuddling with your partner, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and a walk in nature.

When the Moon joins with Uranus at 12:46 PM EDT, you may have a new surprising awareness regarding your relationship or what the natural world has to teach you. Try to absorb this awareness without moving too quickly.

At 5:59 PM EDT, when the steady Taurus Moon trines Saturn, stabilize those ideas and consciously bring kindness to all in your circle of influence. Saturday provides a great evening for small, intimate gatherings or quiet time with a deeply loved partner. Given that it is a summer Saturday night, sleeping outdoors would be a lovely adventure.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (the time between the last major aspects made in one sign until the Moon enters the next sign) from 3:09 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 8:51 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from whatever is begun. This is neutral; simply suggesting that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

COMPASSION, IMAGINATION, & LOVE

Sunday, July 8, 2018:

A lovely Sunday in the forecast and it’s perfect for a day for the beach, time in nature, or if the weather doesn’t cooperate, an afternoon matinee.

At 10:41 AM EDT, the Sun forms a flowing trine aspect to Neptune, allowing you an open-hearted and compassionate view of your life and circumstances.

In considering the full cycle of the Sun and Neptune, a cycle of dreamy, inspirational growth, think about what inspiration began in the first week of March of 2018 and also required attention in the first week of June. Now, the path opens allowing flow that will bring you to an open illumination and spiritual understanding in early September.

Follow the path of compassion, imagination, and love. You can smile internally as your understanding of oneness grows.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
*The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
*The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: June 25, 2018 through July 1, 2018

THE WEEK AHEAD:

This week gives us another week with super long VOC* Moons! Tuesday and Friday – All day long! As much as possible, give yourself a break on those days. Don’t expect great accomplishments. Rest and meditate!

Another thing is important for us to be thinking about: Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto are all currently moving retrograde (backward from the perspective of Planet Earth). Mars is preparing to turn retrograde this week as well (Tuesday at 5:04 PM EDT).

This is quite a pack of planets moving backward.

On July 10th, Jupiter will move forward once again, and yet, July 26th brings us another Mercury retrograde. On August 7th, Uranus will join the retrograde crew.

HERE IS A LIST OF ALL THE RETROGRADES OF 2018 prepared by my lovely and brilliant student Karen Maxon of Karen Maxon Astrology.

When any planet is retrograde, it’s energy becomes more inward. This summer is certainly a time to review and reflect on many areas of our lives. Look to the past and consider what lessons you have learned and what you need to revisit to learn those lessons more deeply. Your personal path of this inward exploration is dependent on your personal horoscope. There is much to consider for each of us. Perhaps, this is a good time for a consultation to explore these issues and better understand your path forward.

The personal planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) in their retrograde movement will have the most obvious impact on your personal life.

While Mars is retrograde (June 26 – Aug 27), it is best to take into consideration the ways that you have misused your drive, sexuality, and ambition. Revisit those issues, make apologies if necessary and move forward after the retrograde from a place of new understanding. I believe men, in general, are being required to look inward and face their inward unconscious assumptions of male privilege. This is not easy. Remember unconscious assumptions are unknown and often difficult to see or face.

The overlap of Mercury being retrograde at the same time that Mars is will be a challenge. Pay attention to your communications and plans. Your best bet for July and August is to contemplate, rest, and have easy expectations of your self and others. Give your loved ones a lot of space to work through their own issues without interference.

ONTO THE DAILIES:

A GENTLE RELEASE OF ATTENTION

Monday, June 25, 2018:

When you wake up on Monday morning, the Moon is in idealistic, far-seeking Sagittarius. The only aspect she makes throughout the day is a sextile to Mars at 6:32 PM EDT. This will provide energy for exploring new ideas, cultures, and ways of viewing the world. Spend the evening planning a trip, watching a documentary, or otherwise opening your mind to a worldview outside of your typical experience.

A square aspect is formed between Venus, the planet of beauty & love and Jupiter, the planet of higher understanding. The cycle between Venus and Jupiter is a cycle of the expansion of love, money, and beauty. This cycle began in November of 2017. Consider the seed of expansion that was planted at that time.

Whatever you may have begun in November is now ready to be released in preparation of a new cycle of expansion that will begin in January of 2019. This release is a gentle giving way, a release of attention, a shift of attention.

UNDERSTANDING AGGRESSION

Tuesday, June 26, 2018:

Tuesday offers a quiet day, a day to dream of travel and spiritual awakening. The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* all day following a square aspect to dreamy Neptune at 8:54 AM EDT. If you wonder why it is difficult to nail your mind down to a task consider this: Don’t try to accomplish anything.

Allow yourself to dream, allow yourself to imagine any and all expansive explorations that you desire. Don’t try to accomplish anything or start new projects. This is a day meant for dreamers.

At 5:04 PM EDT, Mars turns retrograde at 9° Aquarius, as he will remain until August 27th. Look to the house that holds Aquarius in your chart as you consider how to use this retrograde. During this time it is important that you examine how you have been using anger, aggression, and sexuality in your life. Make amends for any glaring errors. Consider how you have been impacted by the anger, sexuality, or aggressiveness of others. Re-visit. Release. Learn new ways to direct these energies moving forward.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:54 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn on Wednesday at 11:53 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR LIFE

Wednesday, June 27, 2018:

Wednesday brings a decidedly heavy atmosphere as the Cancer Sun opposes restrictive Saturn. This is a day to take yourself, others, and your situation seriously. Take responsibility for where you find yourself, look clearly at reality. Don’t try to sugarcoat anything.

With the Moon entering Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) at 11:53 AM EDT and joining with Saturn before days end, this is not a day to pursue trivial issues. This is a day to spend time alone working on your own goals and ambitions. Get serious about the work that you want to accomplish. Put a stake in the ground and determine the direction that will bring you where you need to go. In late December of 2017, the Sun and Saturn came together. Consider what began at that time and you may be able to see adjustments that may need to be made now. What have you created since then and where do you want to take it as you step forward.

This is not a day for socializing.

The Capricorn Full Moon is exact shortly after midnight, tomorrow in Eastern Time. Regardless of the Full Moon being Wednesday or Thursday (depending on time zone), this Full Moon pushes us to see our mistakes clearly and made adjustments. Offer kindness to all whom you encounter, not a frivolous kindness, offer support of a more serious kind.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Capricorn at 11:53 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LIFE IS SERIOUS BUSINESS

Thursday, June 28, 2018:

Depending on your time zone, the Capricorn Full Moon was last night or this morning. Life is serious business and Thursday will find a way to bring your awareness to that fact. This is not a bad thing. Your life has consequences and you have important goals to set and things to accomplish.

There are days you need to dream, days you need to play, and days you need to work. Thursday is not a day for dreaming or playing. Thursday is a day to contemplate the significance of your life and make necessary adjustments to move you in the direction that you need to go. If you are drifting or wasting your gifts, now is the time to get clarity on what needs to happen to change your course. You can make a decision now. One simple step can start a new direction.

The seriousness lightens later in the day as the Capricorn Moon sextiles both Jupiter and Neptune, showing you that no matter how serious and sober things may feel there is hope for the sweet path ahead.

PLAYFUL MIND & A DAY OF REST

Friday, June 29, 2018:

Mercury has been moving along at quite quickly, having entered Cancer only a few weeks ago on June 12th. On Friday, the planet that represents our thinking process enters expressive Leo where all our communications may take on a lively, even dramatic tone.

Mercury will be slowing down soon as it is due for another retrograde station on July 26th at 23° Leo. Due to the retrograde, Mercury will remain in Leo until entering Virgo on September 5th. This gives us a good amount of time to revisit our ability and manner of verbal expression and how we use our minds.

Again, we have a full day with the Moon VOC*. Think of it as being a time when your emotions and needs are a bit adrift, having no focus or direction. The Moon is VOC* between the time it makes its final aspect in one sign until it enters the next sign. Depending on the cycles of the other planets, this can last a few minutes, to times like now, that it can last many hours! Plan a day of rest and relaxation. Don’t expect to accomplish much besides mundane tasks. A great time to catch up on busy work; clean our your email box, do your laundry, visit your friends.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 4:59 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius shortly after midnight. Yes, you read that right… All day! Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS

Saturday, June 30, 2018:

By the time you awake on Saturday morning, the Moon has entered Aquarius, lightening your mood by bringing a good sense of objectivity to the table.
Think back to any power dynamics or other challenges that occurred last Saturday. Whatever the issue involved will rear it’s head again this weekend in a different form or from a different perspective.

At 9:01 AM EDT, Mercury (the planet that represents your thought processes and the way information travels between people) squares Uranus. If there were difficult words spoken or internal mental struggles engaged in last weekend, you may be able to find innovative solutions that will now settle the issue. Try to avoid adding fuel to the fire of something left unfinished. Look for the creative, ingenious solution.

HELP OTHERS

Sunday, July 1, 2018:

Sunday is dominated by the Aquarius Moon as there are no major aspects between other planets. With the Moon in Aquarius, you may feel a need to break free from people or situations that feel a bit claustrophobic or otherwise restrictive. This is a day to engage with your most unusual friends or the folks in your social circle who have the least in common with your world-view. You focus is likely to be objective and you are more interested in what is happening collectively than personally. You are able to open your mind to new ways of viewing the world.

Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, consider what you can do to help the suffering of others in the world.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:56 PM EDT until she enters Pisces early Monday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

REVISIT YOUR DREAMS

Monday, June 18, 2018:

Monday’s practical Virgo Moon forms a flowing trine aspect to defiant Uranus early Monday morning allowing your emotional self to explore new ideas and ways of getting your needs met.

Later in the afternoon, she forms another sweet trine aspect to level-headed Saturn bringing a touch of reality to the conversation.

With the Moon in Virgo, you will notice yourself drawn toward practical activities. You will want to organize and analyze everything you do. You may have a hard time allowing ‘good-enough’ to be good enough. Don’t allow perfectionism to stop progress. Work on projects and issues that will benefit from paying particular attention to details.

Neptune turns retrograde at 7:27 PM EDT and will remain so until late November. This suggests a need to revisit, explore, and examine your understanding of your deepest imagination, your dreams, and your spirituality.

You will likely sleep through this but just in case: The Leo Moon is VOC* until she enters Virgo at 4:41 AM EDT on Monday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

EXPRESS VULNERABILITY

Tuesday, June 19, 2018:

The Virgo Moon keeps you chugging along doing practical chores and getting things done efficiently throughout the day.

However, during the mid-afternoon, Mercury in sensitive Cancer forms a flowing trine to expansive Jupiter. Conversations may move into unusual depths and the vulnerability expressed may surprise you.

Go with your gut instincts. Listen carefully and trust yourself to know how to respond. Perhaps, you are being called to help someone in deeper need than it appears. If you are the one expressing vulnerability, trust yourself in knowing who to share yourself with. Allow words to open your heart.

GRACE AND DECORUM

Wednesday, June 20, 2018:

Challenges arise with the Sun and Moon at odds (1st Quarter Square phase) at 6:51 AM EDT. It can be difficult to know what action to take but you know it is time to move forward with the understanding you gained since the New Moon last Wednesday.

At 8:30 AM EDT, the Moon enters diplomatic Libra, showing you that the best move forward is to face any issue with dispassionate objectivity. Libra asks that you put cooperation and an attitude of refinement ahead of other considerations. Face internal and external work with grace and decorum.

Since May 20th, the Sun has been in inquisitive, curious, fast-talking Gemini. Enjoy this one last day of Gemini. Thursday morning at 6:07 AM EDT the life-giving Sun enters nurturing, inward Cancer.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:51 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 8:30 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS CANCER – PROTECTIVE MAMA BEAR

Thursday, June 21, 2018:

At 6:07 AM EDT, the Sun enters the intuitive, domestic sign of Cancer. I want to take this opportunity to clear up a misunderstanding I often see expressed about Cancer. Everyone seems to know that Cancer is sensitive, nurturing, and tender. However, many folks seem to conflate sensitivity with weakness. Please, make no mistake, Cancer is a powerful sign in its own right! Think the nurturing mother bear! Don’t ever mess with Cancer assuming she will not strike back!

While the Sun is in Cancer, you may feel more insular as your attention is drawn inward to your domestic life. Your focus turns to build deep roots and a sense of belonging.

Thursday starts the Cancer season with some clear challenges as an opposition forms between Venus and Mars. It may be hard to appreciate what you have as you keep looking over your shoulder for what you think you would prefer.

Even the cooperative Libra Moon isn’t in the best state to help the situation as she forms hard aspects with Mercury and Pluto. Watch your words and tendency to get hot under the collar. Remember, before you speak ask yourself three things: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? If everything that comes out of your mouth passes that test, you will do fine!

This is unlikely to have much impact on Thursday but the Libra Moon is VOC* after 9:34 PM EDT Friday morning. She will be VOC* until 3:11 PM EDT on Friday when she will enter Scorpio. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A QUIET DAY FOR CONTEMPLATION

Friday, June 22, 2018:

The Libra Moon is very quiet throughout the day being VOC* until entering Scorpio at 3:11 PM EDT. This is a good day to avoid making decisions or starting new projects, it is a good day for rest, meditation, dreaming, or enjoying vacation.

Once the Moon enters Scorpio, the reset button is hit and you can move forward more easily. You will be called to seek intensity, passion, and deep emotions of all kinds. You have a strong belief that knowledge is power, therefore, you are highly motivated to find out what makes people or situations ‘tick’.

Friday evening is underscored by the Moon opposing Uranus, exposing not only what is intense, deep, and hidden but also what is unusual or eccentric in some way. When the intense and the unusual come together, they always dig up something of interest. Keep your eyes open and enjoy.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Scorpio at 3:11 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

IS IT TRUE? IS IT NECESSARY? IS IT KIND?

Saturday, June 23, 2018:

You can anticipate waking on Saturday still in the throes of the Sun sextile Uranus. You may carry the intensity of unusual family-centered dreams with you into the morning.

Unfortunately, the quirkiness and possible fun of that transit will likely be overshadowed by Mercury opposing Pluto at 5:26 AM EDT. Try to sleep late and then spend time alone with your thoughts and ideas. Mercury and Pluto can be used in deep contemplation, reading, and writing.

Don’t try to have significant or sensitive conversations, particularly with family members today. It would be too easy to end up in difficult power dynamics with things being said that are best left unsaid.

Once again, remember, before you speak ask yourself three things: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Make sure all that you say on Saturday passes that test.

When the intense Scorpio Moon joins with joyful Jupiter at 5:11 PM EDT, you can let down your guard a bit and make connections that can end in a lovely nighttime of dreamy connection when Moon trines whimsical Neptune at 10:23 PM EDT.

UNDER THE SURFACE

Sunday, June 24, 2018:

Sunday is by far the easier day of the weekend. The deeply profound Scorpio Moon makes nice contact with Pluto and Mercury, encouraging any deep work necessary to sooth any ruffled feathers from Saturday.

After 10:00 AM EDT, we enter another long VOC Moon allowing time to simply be with all that has occurred over the weekend. Rest, relax, allow yourself to have no agenda or expectations.

With the Moon in Scorpio, this relaxation is not light and airy, there is a depth that you may go to as you focus your mind and allow emotions to bubble to the surface. Under that surface, there is much transformation and powerful healing work occurring. For now, just rest and allow it to work its magic under the surface.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:00 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius early Monday morning (12:30 AM EDT). When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

This week begins in the darkest phase of the Moon. Allow what is no longer useful to fall away. Wednesday afternoon, we come to the Gemini New Moon. Don’t forget to do your New Moon ritual this week, preferably waiting until Thursday or even Friday.

Keep your ritual simple. With this New Moon occurring in Gemini, the intention you set will involve curiosity, gathering information, and communicating.

If you know what house in your birth chart holds Gemini, it will help you clarify what intention is needed. For example, if Gemini is held in your 1st house, set an intention to get curious about how others perceive you, in the 4th house, set an intention to enjoy lighthearted communications with family members. If Gemini is in your 7th house, perhaps you need to get curious about how to improve communications with a partner, or in the 10th house, you may need to develop new communication skills with your coworkers or in your business.

If you don’t know what house is involved, simply go with your intuition regarding the area of life that requires curiosity and the development of great skills in gathering, sharing, and utilizing information.

Better yet, make an appointment for a consultation.
Make your appointment today!

The New Moon is on Wednesday… do your ritual on Thursday!

~~New Moon Ritual ~~

Take a moment to write down the changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in the upcoming Moon Cycle.

Have two candles available; light a candle to represent yourself, as you are at the moment. Light another candle as an aspiration of what you intend to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle, then light the second candle, focusing on drawing to you what you want to create, bringing the two candles closer together.

Do this each day until at the Full Moon, you will bring them fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.

The Gemini New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of curiosity, gathering, sharing, and utilizing of information.

You may wake on Monday feeling determined, stubborn, or simply interested in seeking beauty, good food, and rest. At 11:31 AM EDT, as the Taurus Moon engages in a flowing trine to Pluto, you feel powerful and able to accomplish whatever you choose.

As the week begins, pay attention to the fact that Mars is creeping slowly along preparing for his retrograde station which occurs at 9° Aquarius on June 26th. If you have personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, or Mars) between 6° – 12° of any fixed sign (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, or Aquarius) begin now to prepare for the additional internal heat.

Understand that in the coming weeks it may be a challenge to maintain your equilibrium and not fly off the handle when provoked. You can be pretty sure you will be provoked! The house that holds Aquarius will point to the area of your life that will provide the provocation.

This may be a good time to get back to your meditation practice or find a healthy outlet for excessive energy. Forewarned is forearmed.

You will likely sleep through it but just in case… the Taurus Moon is VOC* from 11:28 PM EDT until she enters Gemini at 2:53 AM EDT on Tuesday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun.

COMMUNICATION

Tuesday, June 12, 2018:

By the time you wake up on Tuesday morning, the Moon has joined Mercury in curious, lighthearted Gemini. Mercury is the planet of communication and thought process; the sign it is moving through focuses communication and thought. Mercury moves quickly.

On Tuesday afternoon, Mercury leaves Gemini behind and enters Cancer, heightening the connection between thoughts and emotions. Over the coming weeks, you will think more about feelings, you may be nostalgic and you will look for and offer emotional support. You may notice that you are moody and easily brought to tears by simple things like those television advertisements that are made to pull at your heartstrings. Mercury will remain in Cancer until July 29th. Keep the box of Kleenex nearby.

At 4:01 PM EDT, the talkative Gemini Moon forms a supportive trine aspect to Mars. You are able to express your most innovative ideas and get your point across easily. Communication is the name of the game.

You will likely sleep through it but just in case… the Taurus Moon is VOC* from Monday night at 11:28 PM EDT until she enters Gemini at 2:53 AM EDT Tuesday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun.

GEMINI NEW MOON – CURIOSITY AND A GIFT OF ATTENTION

Wednesday, June 13, 2018:

Wednesday begins with a lively conversation. At 7:40 AM EDT, Mercury, currently very sensitive in Cancer, forms an exciting sextile aspect to innovative, potentially life-changing Uranus. Touch the earth, a tree, an animal, or another human body, open yourself to what the Natural World has to teach you. You may be surprised.

At 3:43 PM EDT, we reached the New Moon at 22° Gemini. At each New Moon, we begin a new cycle of emotional growth. This is the time to plant a seed to tend over the coming month. In Gemini, we begin a cycle of understanding and communication. Consider your newest thoughts and ideas. Wait until tomorrow to do your New Moon ritual. Spend today contemplating new thoughts, ideas, and ways of expression.

At 5:54 PM EDT, Venus, the planet of our deepest values, love, and resources enters playful fun-loving Leo. You may notice the world looking a little less vulnerable and a little brighter. You will want to be seen and appreciated for your most authentic inner light. While Venus is in Leo (until July 9th) we all require a bit more attention and adoration. You will feel best if you go out of your way to give the gift of attention to others.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:43 PM EDT until she enters Cancer at 3:20 AM EDT in the wee hours of Thursday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SURPRISE YOURSELF IN LOVE

Thursday, June 14, 2018:

Thursday morning finds the Moon in sensitive, nurturing Cancer forming a helpful sextile aspect to innovative Uranus along with a conjunction to Mercury. This is a good morning to express your deep care for children and other loved ones. Look for unusual ways to bring your self to the nourishment of others.

Mid-afternoon brings a opposition from the Moon to restrictive Saturn which may be a good time to take a nap or in some other way disengage from the connection that seemed so easy in the morning.

As you move toward evening, Venus, the planet of love and beauty, forms a challenging square aspect to unpredictable Uranus. This is a cycle of anxiety or excitement regarding how you build love and financial security in your life. If you began something regarding love or money in late March, consider what steps forward to take now. Perhaps, you are facing a crisis in a love relationship or your personal finances.

What action can you take now that will calm the anxiety by engaging excitement? Under a challenging aspect between Venus and Uranus, it may be tempting to take quick, irrevocable action. Don’t act impulsively; look at your situation from perspectives you have not noticed or taken into account before. There may be an answer to the issue that you haven’t yet seen. Keep your eyes wide open, look with new unconventional eyes. Your internal defiance is asking you to open your eyes to a new way of being.

Help others see the world from a new perspective as well. We are all a bit stuck with our own view. Ask your most unusual, eccentric friend what they see in your situation. You may be surprised.

You will likely sleep through it but just in case… the Gemini Moon is VOC* until she enters Cancer on Thursday morning at 3:20 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun.

FREEDOM AND RESPONSIBILITY

Friday, June 15, 2018:

When you wake up Friday morning, you will be fully immersed in the energy of Venus square Uranus (which was exact late Thursday night). This may manifest as a deep desire for personal freedom and independence. You may experience sudden epiphanies regarding your intimate relationships, your relationship to finances, or even how you create beauty in the world. If you are an artist, this could be a time of great innovation in your craft. If you are a lover, this could suggest the need for greater independence and trust between you and your partner.

Allow yourself to explore ideas that may unsettle you. If there are challenges regarding a partner, do your best to keep your boundaries clear. Friday evening brings Mercury (the planet of communication and thoughts) into opposition with Saturn (the planet of responsibility and self-respect); this suggests serious conversations. Apply deep kindness and respect for yourself and your partner in all communications. Facing reality and personal responsibility is highlighted.

Allow kindness and respect to contain and hold any conversations on Saturday as well. If that is not possible do not engage the conversation.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:18 PM EDT until she enters Leo on Saturday morning at 3:20 AM EDT.
When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CREATIVE PLAY

Saturday, June 16, 2018:

The weekend’s Leo Moon encourages dramatic self-expression and playful creativity. This is a weekend for parties, summer festivals, and making the world your stage. You will want to be seen, appreciated, and expressly loved.

Take a creative risk, allow others to see a part of yourself that you normally keep under wraps. Allow your most sparkly side to shine through. You may be surprised at how good it feels to be seen in this way. Your inner child wants to come out to play.

If you are more of an introvert, this will be a great weekend to spend with children and to express your appreciation of others. If you do not want to be on stage, applaud someone who does.

You may feel some anger or aggression early in the evening as the Moon opposes Mars; strong physical activity will help settle that into a positive evening of fun.
Celebrate!

You will likely sleep through it but just in case… the Cancer Moon is VOC* until she enters Leo on Saturday morning at 3:20 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun.

ACTIVE CREATIVITY

Sunday, June 17, 2018:

Any creative activities are worthy of your attention now. Express love and honor to anyone you encounter. Everyone’s ‘inner child’ will be on full display. Think about that as you interact with others. How would your day be different if you and your friends were all five or seven years old? What would it be like to play together from that space or perspective?

Build fairy houses in the woods or the park, put on a play, or fly a kite! Don’t be afraid of looking foolish, your friends will adore you if you can lead them in this direction of active creativity! Allow your warmth, generosity, and open-hearted acceptance to rule the day.

Enjoy this Leo Moon while we have it. If you open to this playful side of life, you will be ready to go back to work on Monday with a smile on your face.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

DETACHED VIEWPOINT

Monday, June 4, 2018:

A very quiet Aquarius Moon is with us throughout Monday. You can stay home and get just as much accomplished as if you go to work or the other way around. Because the Moon is VOC* all day, there really is nothing you need to accomplish.

This is a day best suited for wild, innovative thinking and gathering with others of like mind. With the Moon in Aquarius, you will do well to seek insights and genius ideas in the company of others. Your emotions generally will not get in the way as you are able to set them aside and view your life from a more detached viewpoint. You are more interested in the plight of humanity and in the big picture of others than in your own pesky emotional state.

I find that long VOC* Moon periods can feel a bit frustrating as I can’t seem to settle into anything and feel a bit like I am aimlessly spinning my wheels. Feel free to have a different experience.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:09 AM EDT until she enters Pisces on Tuesday morning at 6:54 AM EDT. This is a VERY LONG VOC* Moon. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

POWER DYNAMICS IN LOVE

Tuesday, June 5, 2018:

The Moon has entered dreamy Pisces by the time Tuesday gets underway but don’t expect a passive or quiet day due to a build-up of significant interplanetary transits perfecting before the day’s end.

At 10:01 PM EDT, Mercury joins with the Sun in the mid-degree of Gemini, shortly before a powerfully stressful opposition from Venus to Pluto.

Pay attention to what you say and what is said to you. Make sure you understand what is bubbling beneath the words. If you had a significant relationship or financial issues that began in the first two weeks of January 2018, notice how that story has played out and is being expressed now.

You could encounter difficult power dynamics in a love relationship or financial situations. Keep this issue in mind for Wednesday as well; these issues will not vanish overnight.

GO WITH YOUR IMAGINATION

Wednesday, June 6, 2018:

Les Dames du Marché by Bernard Cadène via Wiki MediaWednesday, June 6, 2018:

As Wednesday begins, you are still working on the difficult underlying story regarding power dynamics in love or financial concerns. You may be somewhat successful in sweeping those issues under the rug due to the challenge from thoughtful Mercury to dreamy Neptune, along with another square building from the Sun to Neptune.

Clarity is not forthcoming over the next few days. With the Sun and Mercury still in chatty Gemini, there is a lot that you would like to say. Don’t rush into anything that involves trying to explain yourself or your position. Watch as confusion and lack of clarity are expressed in conversations all around you. Expect interesting communications as folks try to talk about things they either know very little about or they are unable to articulate what they do know.

Neptune does not support understanding, so it is probably best to wait before speaking your mind about sensitive issues. Neptune does support meditation and dreams. The Moon is in Pisces all day further heightening your connection to spirituality, lack of clarity, and imagination. So spend the day with soft concerns. Rest and dream.

DELVE INTO MUSIC, POETRY, MEDITATION

Thursday, June 7, 2018:

Thursday continues with the same challenge to clarity that was with us on Wednesday. Utilize this sense of watery spaciousness by delving into music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual concerns. Use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.

All this Neptune activation should fall away rather dramatically when the Moon leaves passive, quiet Pisces and enters aggressive, loud Aries at 5:26 PM EDT.

It may feel like you have been suddenly been released from a fog or having had bandages removed from your eyes. It’s a relief. Of course, this depends on your circumstances. If you are an artist, a poet, or a mystic. this may very well not be a welcome shift.

Most of you will be more than ready to face the next few days with more assertiveness and energy to take action and move forward. Spend the evening on your own doing something physically active. Go for a run, bike ride, enjoy the strength of your body and your ability to use it to whatever extent you are able.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:35 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 5:26 PM EDT. This is a VERY LONG VOC* Moon. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

CHALLENGE YOURSELF

Friday, June 8, 2018:

You should wake up on Friday morning feeling strongly driven and able to tap into fierce determination and courage. Find a way to use that energy before it slips into impatience or combativeness.

At 6:56 AM EDT, the Aries Moon makes a positive aspect to Mars. If you are feeling short-tempered or aggressive, it is best to go for a run, have a hot sexual encounter, or masturbate. Move the forceful, excitable energy of Mars (Mars rules Aries) through your body.

When the Moon is in Aries, it is time to take on a challenge, be competitive, take a risk, prove something to yourself. This is not a time for empathy or romance, better to go for a direct passionate exchange.

“Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward. Your life will never be the same again.” ~ Og Mandino

ENGAGE THE POSITIVE

Saturday, June 9, 2018:

If you are an early riser, you will want to be aware of the tough square aspect from the Moon to Pluto at 7:43 AM EDT. Anger and power struggles could easily arise. Do what you need to in order to sidestep whatever issue arises with it.

By the time the Moon sextiles Mercury at 12:04 AM EDT, you are able to release those reactive feelings and settle into a conversation that can support the rest of the day.

Don’t make rash decisions regarding love or money in the afternoon under the influence of the Moon square to Venus, as what you need and what you desire may be strikingly at odds. This won’t last long and the evening is fully salvageable.

Make plans to go out dancing or spending time with others engaged in physical activities. Plan something fun and engaging. The day will have its ups and downs but should end on a high note.

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:37 PM EDT until she enters Taurus shortly after midnight. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; it is not good or bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

HEALING TOUCH

Sunday, June 10, 2018:

You will wake to a new day with the Moon, now in steady Taurus, joining in the early morning hours with exciting Uranus. Finding excitement in stability or finding your own steadfast core in the midst of anxiety may be the task at hand.

You may encounter some frustration mid-afternoon as the Moon squares Mars at 1:22 PM EDT, again, find your internal strength, maturity, and resoluteness.

This is a good day to spend in the garden, the earth will soothe the places that feel unsettle and frightening. Bring flowers into your home, create beauty around you. Show love in tangible ways. Cook a meal for your loved ones. Offer healing touch.
