Hello All!

Another week has come and gone and a new one begins!
Don’t save all your fun and pleasures for this weekend as the best part of this week comes prior to that. The high point of the week comes on Friday when expansive Jupiter enters diplomatic, beautiful Libra. This brings some hope to the upcoming US presidential elections, as Jupiter in Libra will do her best to put some diplomacy on the table and settle us down with a bit more refinement and grace. We hope for the best.
Over the weekend, you may need to pay particular attention to the more profound and challenging side of your love life or your finances. Do not take either of these issues for granted. A willingness to be vulnerable and to take risks with those you love may be necessary. Deep love brings us to unimaginable change in our lives and, as such, requires vulnerability and the willingness to encounter great transformation.

Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead?
Let Astrolore help you see your life and your path forward from a perspective that will change everything. Allow more joy and love into your life.

Together, we will work with your individual horoscope to explore your hopes, dreams, goals, your current path, and the reality of your life purpose. Our conversation will offer you a profoundly renewed perspective on your life and circumstances.

EMOTIONAL DEPTH
Monday, September 5, 2016:
Monday is Labor Day and a holiday for most of us in the U.S. The planetary activity is very quiet, providing the opportunity for a relaxing and enjoyable day. When the Moon enters Scorpio at 8:39 AM EDT, you may notice a bit of moodiness in yourself or others. Consider any emotional turmoil to be a clear direction for you to deepen your emotional connection with whoever you are spending the day with. If you are alone, spend time in deep emotional contemplation.
The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from Sunday evening at 8:30 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 8:39 AM EDT on Monday morning. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

DEEP CONTEMPLATION OFFERS OPPORTUNITY
Tuesday, September 6, 2016:
Tuesday’s intense Scorpio Moon enjoys lovely connections with the Sun, Neptune, and Pluto throughout the day. This provides a positive outlet for the profoundly powerful energy of transcendent Pluto.
With the penetratingly deep Scorpio Moon forming sextile aspects to both the Sun and Pluto, keep your eyes open for opportunities to focus with great empowerment on your goals and desires. Don’t try to be all things to all people on Tuesday. Remember, the importance of working in the silence and in the dark to birth your visions. Time alone in contemplation may bring great rewards.

SEEK OPPORTUNITIES FOR STABLE FOUNDATIONS
Magic Circle by John William Waterhouse via Wiki Commons

Magic Circle by John William Waterhouse via Wiki Commons

Wednesday, September 7, 2016:
Powerful forces build strong foundations to develop your deepest desires today. At 1:19 AM EDT, the Sun forms a trine aspect (120 degree angle) to Pluto. The cycle between the Sun and Pluto, which is a cycle of deep internal empowerment, began when they conjoined in early January of 2016.
Consider what began at that time that is leading to a current sense of self-empowerment. The steps taken now to focus your will are able to develop with great intensity. You are building the deep roots necessary to develop the long-term results you are seeking and that are intended to sustain and stabilize your most significant intentions.
At 7:33 AM EDT, beautiful Venus forms a supportive sextile to steadfast Saturn offering an opportunity to gently stabilize your creative endeavors, your finances, or your most love entrenched relationships. This is indeed a powerful and stabilizing day. Pay attention to the intensity of the future you are creating and the opportunities offered for stabilizing that future.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) for a short period of time from 8:43 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 9:20 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SEEK BALANCE
Thursday, September 8, 2016:
With the Moon in Sagittarius all day on Thursday, we may feel some relief as our perspective feels lighter and more open to a higher level of understanding. However, as the Moon makes contact with both serious, reality based Saturn and dreamy, illusionary Neptune early in the morning, we can’t get away from the fact that we are only a few days away from the final square contact between these two planets.
We are reminded of the challenge of finding a way to balance these ‘difficult to combine’ energies. It is important to continue the effort of bringing the reality of our situations into our most spiritually transcendent vision or dream.
Combining reality and dreams has been part of our ongoing work since this combination – Saturn square Neptune began in November of 2015. We can see the struggle in so many places in our communities, cultures, and the political process; look to see its reflection in your personal life.  Seek balance.

EXPANDING DIPLOMACY AND GENEROSITY
Friday, September 9, 2016:
The generosity and expansion of Jupiter opens the morning with a delightful shift of focus. At 7:18 AM EDT, exuberant and philosophical Jupiter enters cooperative Libra where he will remain until October of 2017. The last time Jupiter was in Libra was between September 2004 and October 2005. Consider the similarities between that time and now regarding the expansion of your own ability to form relationships and create beauty.
With a square aspect formed between the Sun and Moon, we come to the First Quarter (and First Quarter Square) of the Lunar Cycle at 7:49 AM EDT. Think back to the Solar Eclipse New Moon on September 1, 2016. What was the seed that you planted? What have you begun that you want to grow to great stability to support your life? What action needs to be taken over the coming 24 hours that will support this intention as you move forward?
A trine between the Sagittarius Moon and Uranus at 8:51 PM EDT offers the energy to get out and enjoy excitement and the pleasures of friends. Find a place to dance! Go out; express exuberant energy; have fun.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:51 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 8:55 AM EDT on Saturday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

BALANCE WILL BE RESTORED
Saturday, September 10, 2016:
The Moon enters the cautions realm of Capricorn at 8:55 AM EDT leaving the fun from Friday night behind and ushering us to the final exact square of Saturn to Neptune. This aspect has been the most significant signature of 2016. Consider, once again, the effort you have made to balance what is real and solid with your most intangible dreams and even escapist tendencies.
It may be easy to get lost in confusion and misunderstanding. Don’t get stuck there. The key is trusting that the process at work will ultimately reveal the beauty and purpose that has thus far been obstructed. This is the 3rd Quarter Square in the cycle between Saturn and Neptune.
If you are old enough to remember 1989, consider what dream you may have begun at that time. Now, you are able to see ahead to a new, similar, far more evolved dream. It is just a glimmer now, ahead in the distance; but if you are able to stand steady and not run for the first escape hatch you will build reality into the new dream over the coming years. Release your need for control; allow the process to unfold with trust and unimaginable vulnerability.
Sleep may not come easily as we push into a Venus square Pluto in the early morning hours of Sunday. Emotional intensity may move your dreams and impact the coming days.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:51 PM EDT on Friday until she enters Capricorn at 8:55 AM EDT on Saturday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad; it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

ALLOW PROFOUND CHANGE
Sunday, September 11, 2016:
Sunday is a highly emotional day. At 3:47 AM EDT, Venus square Pluto suggesting profound intensity and possibly major transformation to our partnerships and your deepest held values. Treat each other kindly. Allow change, it is more necessary than you may realize. This is not a suggestion that something significant must end; but it must change.
Consider the change that will bring empowerment to your values or your relationship. Did you begin a process in early February 2016 that can no longer continue on the path it is treading? Consider your options! Open your mind to what is possible.
By the end of the day, you will know more than you did to start, secrets and vulnerabilities may be revealed. If you have not been fully honest, now is the time to face the truth. Only when the wound is revealed can the healing begin. The evening brings the possibility of increased understanding and connection with the Capricorn Moon trine the Sun at 10:35 PM EDT.

Astrolore's Weekly Astrology Weather from August 29, 2016 through September 4, 2016

As we leave August behind and move into September, we do so with Mercury turning retrograde on Tuesday and a Virgo New Moon and Solar Eclipse on Thursday. Welcome to the changing seasons!

First things first, have you become comfortable with Mercury retrograde yet? I have harped on this issue for a very long time, but still many people find it difficult to accept and work with Mercury retrograde.
All you really need to do is follow these five simple steps each time Mercury turns retrograde.  You will be amazed that, in time, you will find yourself looking forward to Mercury retrograde.
1) Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned; Mercury Retrograde is NOT a problem.
Of course, that is easier said than done with so many folks spreading negativity about Mercury retrograde! As you work with these cycles, you will come to love these brief periods scattered throughout the year. They are a gift; learn to use them well. Spread the word!
2) Make sure your computer is backed up, your car is caught up on all necessary repairs, and that your friends and family know you love them.
With those things taken care of in advance, there is so much less to worry about.  Things like to break down during Mercury retrograde but if you are proactive there will be nothing insurmountable.
3) Get a notebook and a pen – make a list of everything you have begun but not completed since May 22, 2016.
Start with a clean sheet of paper, quiet your mind, and think back over these past few months. Look through your calendar, your notebooks, your bills; wherever you will find reminders of what you have been thinking about and working on since Mercury went direct on May 22nd.
Now, carefully make a list of all the things that you have begun but not completed during this time. Dig deep; there are probably more things than you are aware of.
Consider the books that you began to read but didn’t finish, the appointment you meant to reschedule but just haven’t gotten to, the project you finally tucked into a drawer because you couldn’t find the time to complete it.  If you are anything like me, you also have plenty of communications that have fallen through the cracks. Get those on your list as well.
4) Now get to work! Focus your attention on the items on this list.
Once you have the list made, it is easy to follow the perfect plan for the next three weeks. Our lives are so busy; we fly from one project to another, from one communication to another, never having time to slow down and complete all that we have begun.
Now, you have the opportunity to focus on this list. You will be amazed at how much you can accomplish. Used properly, Mercury retrograde offers the gift of wrapping up loose ends.
5) Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs.
Set this time aside for cleanup only. Nothing more, nothing less. Don’t move forward until Mercury turns direct on September 22.
Focusing in this manner will take most of the stress out of Mercury retrograde. Yes, you will still notice folks showing up at meetings late and full of anxiety. Let it roll off your back.
Pay more careful attention to how you communicate and make sure to double check that important communications are understood. Put the stress of it aside. Allow yourself to simply get a lot accomplished so you can start with a clean slate when Mercury moves forward on September 22nd.

EXPRESS BEAUTY; SHOW LOVE
Monday, August 29, 2016:
At 2:32 AM EDT, Mercury will conjoin Venus planting a seed to focus our attention on deep values and love. Write a love-letter, expressing your understanding of beauty in words. Try your hand at poetry. You may surprise yourself.
By the time we start the day, the nurturing Moon will have entered playful Leo (4:12 AM EDT). Love is able to flow through dramatic generosity.   Expression is the name of the game on Monday.
At 10:06 PM EDT, Venus, the planet of partnership, beauty, and diplomacy leaves meticulous Virgo behind to enter romantic, social Libra. Venus has a natural affinity for Libra and is able to express beauty, charm, and refinement easily. Venus has a brief stay in Libra, only staying until September 23rd when she will head into the intensity of Scorpio territory.  While she is here, use her gifts wisely. Understand your profound value, show appreciation for the beauty and value of others and this amazing planet we live on, and this life we are experiencing.
The Cancer Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:23 AM EDT until she enters Leo at 4:12 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact. Most of us will sleep through this and never have to worry about it! 😉

MERCURY RETROGRADE – ARE YOU READY?
Tuesday, August 30, 2016:
The Moon continues through playful Leo all day on Tuesday encouraging us not to get too jacked up about the Mercury retrograde that begins at 9:04 AM EDT.  For the next three weeks, our communication skills and the way we perceive others and the world are somewhat altered.  People love to spread stories of stress and anxiety about these times. Please do not listen to those stories.
Focus your attention on getting caught up on all the projects that have not been completed over the past few months. Yes, it is a good idea to double-check your schedule and your communications. It is not a good idea to head into this upcoming three weeks anticipating problems.  You will surely find what you look for.
Personally, I find this to be the best time to get projects done. When Mercury turns direct on September 22nd, the slate will be clean and it will be exciting to start a whole new chapter!

A DAY OF RELEASE; LET IT GO
Verso Un Estate by Alberto Bertoldi via Wiki Commons

Wednesday, August 31, 2016:
You may have difficulty sleeping on Tuesday night with the Moon forming a trine to Uranus at 12:20 AM EDT Wednesday morning. With the Moon in Leo and Uranus in Aries, this is a hot and dynamic combination, bringing originality and possibly anxiety.
AT 11:23 AM EDT, your heart calms down as the Moon enters productive, meticulous Virgo. The rest of the day is relatively quiet as we prepare for Thursday’s New Moon Eclipse.
This is the ending of a cycle. Go inward and consider what is ready to move on from your life. What no longer supports your path forward? What is holding you back? You may feel restless; however, try to allow that contemplation to rest easily within the quiet of your heart and mind. On Thursday, you will begin a fresh step forward. The process of release begins internally now.
The Leo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 12:20 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 11:23 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have a significant future impact.

VIRGO NEW MOON – SOLAR ECLIPSE; ENDINGS & NEW BEGINNINGS
Thursday, September 1, 2016:
We certainly are starting September on a powerful note! With the Virgo New Moon and a Solar Eclipse exact at 5:04 AM EDT, this marks a time for endings and new beginnings. Because this New Moon and Solar Eclipse triggers the square between Saturn and Neptune, this is especially powerful. A Solar Eclipse momentarily blocks the flow of the Sun providing a sort of rebooting of our consciousness.  What are you ready to let go of in order to move in a new (and possibly unexpected) direction?
If you are still asking yourself: “What do I want?” now it is time to put that question aside and ask: “What does life want from me?” How can you, in your small or large way, make a difference to the greater good? This Virgo New Moon and Solar Eclipse offers us each the opportunity to step forth onto a new path of greater significance, a path of service.
The day will present challenges; don’t allow them to overwhelm you. A day as powerful as this does not come without challenge.
At 11:21 PM EDT, the Sun square Saturn speaks firmly to the need to look at the reality of what needs to change in your circumstances, your ideals, or your desires. Where are you holding on too tightly? This will strongly impact a few days following this exact ‘hit’ and works hand in hand with Friday’s Saturn opposition Neptune, illuminating the discord between Saturn and Neptune.
Where do you want to resist seeing the truth? What area of your life did you work hard on in late November of 2015? Is it clear that the rules of that game (whatever ‘game’ started in late November) need to change over the coming months? Quiet time in contemplation is necessary over the next few days. Go inward, plant the seeds of effort and offer kindness to those in need.
Don’t neglect a simple New Moon ritual on today or tomorrow. You will want to complete the ritual after the exact time of the New Moon and within 24 hours.  The dramatic Leo New Moon is ideal for planting seeds of generosity, love, and playfulness or for telling the Universe you are awaiting a child or a lover.
Take a moment to write down what you wish to create for the upcoming cycle.  Have two candles available; light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are at this moment in time. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you want to create.
Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle.  As you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you desire, as you bring the two candles closer together.  At the Full Moon in two weeks, bring them fully together and see the results of what you have created.
Embrace the dark and allow growth.

RELAX INTO AMBIGUITY
Friday, September 2, 2016:
On Friday, the Sun opposes Neptune at 12:37PM EDT, highlighting the ongoing square between Saturn and Neptune (Thursday, the Sun squared Saturn) the most challenging and long-term transit of 2016. We may fear loss of control, we may desire to escape our responsibilities, we may dream of transcending boundaries of all kinds, and we are likely confused about which direction to move in or which path to take.
It is best to relax in ambiguity, do not make important decisions now.
At 1:17 PM EDT, Mercury conjoins Jupiter increasing our desire to understand the direction we are moving in. Please remember, Mercury is retrograde. You very likely do not have all the information you need to make an important decision.
The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:13 PM EDT until she enters Libra at 8:56 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

A SIMPLE DAY
Saturday, September 3, 2016:
The highly agreeable Libra Moon does her best to bring us back to calm cooperation and peacefulness with a conjunction to Venus at 7:30 AM EDT. Get the day started early. Make breakfast for your lover or a friend.
Save any wild party plans for another weekend. Saturday is good for low-key restful socializing. Spend the day with a good friend or partner making art or visiting a museum.
At 4:56 PM EDT, the Libra Moon forms a sextile to Saturn encouraging us to further release any anxiety left over from Friday. It is important to maintain attention and awareness of your responsibilities even as your heart is fully open to beauty, and to respond with maturity and clear reality. Allow yourself to enjoy a simple day.

MAKING PEACE WITH INDECISION
Sunday, September 4, 2016:
Sunday brings with it the potential for power struggles and anxiety (Moon square Pluto at 2:40 AM EDT – Moon oppose Uranus at 8:30 PM EDT) Sunday’s issues are simple Moon transits and won’t last long.
Your job is two fold. If possible, find some time alone, go inward and make peace with your own indecision. Make peace as well with your tendency to be overly dependent on others. An increased awareness of your own dependencies and struggles with decision-making will begin to change the path of your relationships.
Do not engage in power struggles.  Any aggression between two people requires input from both. If you don’t take the bait, the battle will not ensue. Do not engage in negative interactions, take the high road and the whole issue will pass before sleep finds you.

We can expect an interesting week ahead! This week, Mercury and Venus will conjoin Jupiter in Virgo and the Sun will enter Virgo.

Leaf Fall by Evgeniy Stasenko via Wiki Commons

We must consider the deep meaning of Virgo with so many planets currently residing there. Virgo has a rough reputation and I want to make sure none of you get stuck with that negativity as your understanding of Virgo.
The energy of Virgo (and anyone with a focus in that sign) has the ability to see potential more clearly than others. The criticism that Virgo is so well known for is a result of Virgo seeing what is possible and not accomplishing it as efficiently as one would like. The thing I respect and love the most about Virgo is the fact that whatever it is that Virgo must perfect, within themselves, is done for the service of others. There is nothing selfish in Virgo.
Mars makes contact with both Saturn and Neptune, even as Saturn and Neptune continue their dance which culminates in the third and final square aspect between them which will be exact on September 10th.
Remember that conjunctions are the beginning of a cycle between the two planets involved. This week we have three new such cycles beginning. On Monday, we begin the cycle of expanding our minds, beginning a new study, a new conversation, or a way of viewing the world. This is represented by the conjunction between Mercury and Jupiter.
On Wednesday, we begin a cycle of energizing our struggles and the places we are stuck. This is the cycle between Mars and Saturn, and, on Saturday, we begin a new cycle of expansive love with the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter.
There is both struggle and beauty inherent within this week. Flow with that. Don’t be too hard on yourself or others. Remember, the soft kindness of Virgo is available when we show ourselves kindness and compassion first.

SUN ENTERS VIRGO – SETTLING DOWN
Monday, August 22, 2016:
Our minds are sharp as a tack on Monday morning. Consider carefully what you want to focus your attention on. At 5:04 AM EDT, Mercury will conjoin Jupiter planting a seed of expansive visionary thinking and awareness.
Because Mercury is turning retrograde soon (August 30th), this gives us time to implement or refine where we want to focus our new learning or new ways of perceiving the world. Due to the upcoming retrograde, this conjunction will be repeated on September 2nd and October 11th.
At 12:38 PM EDT, the Sun enters Virgo ending the hot season of Leo’s playful expression and bringing us back to earth with the need to get serious as we look forward to the changing season ahead. We are ready for this; ready to slow down, send the kids and ourselves back to school, and begin preparing for the harvest.
The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:47 AM EDT until 5:20 PM EDT when she enters Taurus further settling us into a quieter slower pace. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

BUILD STABILITY; CREATE BEAUTY
Tuesday, August 23, 2016:
This is a day to relax into. The Taurus Moon allows a deep, reverent calm throughout the day. With a sextile to Neptune at 11:31 AM EDT, we are able to bring imagination and a warm glow to our building stability.
At 6:43 PM EDT, as the Moon trine Pluto, we are empowered to make slow and steady progress to the dream we hold of a stable life of beauty and love.
Put flowers on the table, light candles, and embody the level of romantic beauty (even if you are alone) that makes your own heart sing.

DETERMINATION AND PATIENCE

Wednesday, August 24, 2016:
Wednesday begins with Mars conjunct Saturn at 7:26 AM EDT. This has been a long time coming and I anticipate a positive manifestation of this combination. A conjunction represents the start of a new cycle and the ending of an old cycle. It is important that we slow down and manage any personal impatience in our lives.
The maturity of Saturn combined with the drive of Mars can place us on a path of determination to accomplish things. We cannot rush. Maintaining focus without hurry is what is required. Some of us will settle in for the long haul, making significant effort that will result in significant rewards. Others will experience frustration as desires seem to be stuck in a pattern that feels too slow. Hold steady, understand that what is most worthwhile in our lives takes time and effort. Settle in.
The slow, Taurus Moon makes lovely aspects to Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter throughout the early part of the day. The Taurus Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 3:38 PM EDT until she enters Gemini at 7:39 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact. Find friends and a bit of social fun for the evening

NO DECISIONS NEED TO BE MADE
Thursday, August 25, 2016:
Normally, a day with the Moon in chatty Gemini is a light, easy kind of day. Unfortunately, Thursday’s Gemini Moon is involved in stressful considerations with her cohorts.  At 12:30 PM EDT, she opposes Saturn which may leave us feeling overburdened by work and effort, then she opposes Mars at 1:34 PM EDT adding frustration or anger to the mix, when she finally forms a square to confusing Neptune at 2:06 PM EDT.
The whole issue is muddied by simply not knowing which way to turn. It may be important to remind yourself that you do not need to make any decisions today. You may want to simply head to bed early. It is not a bad idea to be well rested for the challenges of Friday.
As in all things remember kindness for yourself and everyone you encounter will smooth the way.

FOLLOW YOUR INTUITION TO FIND TRUTH
Friday, August 26, 2016:
Friday comes on the heels of Thursday’s Moon square Neptune where our frustration turned to confusion leaving us ready to sleep early. At 2:56 AM EDT, Mars squares Neptune; this energy has been building and will stay with us for another day. Consider the meaning of these planets and imagine them standing at cross purposes to each other.
Mars represents conscious will, the ability to take action, and determination. Neptune represents imagination and the dissolving of concrete form. You may experience disappointment and frustration due to the lack of clarity about what you really want. You may be suddenly aware that what you thought you wanted does not match your true desires and expectations.
Watch how this plays out in the political arena. We can expect more strange stories and revelations.
The Gemini Moon may feel a bit of disturbance as she locks horns with the planets currently in Virgo. This will pass but you must manage yourself well. Work to NOT say the first thing that comes to mind in any given situation. Watch what you say and do your best to remain detached to the conversations and opinions of others.

BEGIN TO GROW IN LOVE
Saturday, August 27, 2016:
We awake Saturday morning to a Cancer Moon, clearly in the mood for connection and love. You may feel sensitive, sentimental, moody, and wistful. Keep close to family and loved ones.
At 6:28 PM EDT, Venus and Jupiter come together at 27° Virgo. This begins a cycle of growth and expansion of love and our personal values. Our hearts and all that we value seem to grow, expanding to engulf the world.
Show love in all that you do and witness the love reflected in those around you. Offer a simple genuine smile to someone on the street, the young person checking you out at the grocery store, or pouring your coffee at the café. Wherever you encounter anyone in a service job pour love in their direction and accept love in return.
Make it simple and uncomplicated; give and receive abundance; it is easier than you may think.

SIMPLICITY AND LOVING KINDNESS
Sunday, August 28, 2016:
The Moon continues her path through the nurturing waters of Cancer on Sunday. During the afternoon hours, she will encounter serious snags as she opposes Pluto at 1:38 PM EDT and squares Uranus at 5:42 PM EDT. We are reminded again of the profound change that has occurred in every area of our lives and the world. However, we are not out of the woods yet.
Allow worry and concern to flow pass without engaging. These are simple transits of the Moon and will pass harmlessly unless we engage them with stress or anxiety. Time alone is valuable for contemplation and healing. Set intentions of loving kindness and give yourself and others the benefit of the doubt in all things. Keep complications at bay to allow the day to unfold without stress or agitation.

I believe that once Mars finally conjuncts Saturn on August 24th and squares Neptune on August 26th, things will begin to clarify and settle down. The build-up to this time could be a deep challenge for many of us.
I suspect that we will all awaken in early September wondering how we got so pulled into directions that have clearly been mistaken steps. Watch your back and support others.
Don’t forget to put August 30th on your calendar as the day that Mercury goes retrograde. Consider this your heads-up. Begin now to prepare to stop forward motion on all projects at that time. For the following three weeks, it will be important to focus on completions. Depending on the weeks leading up to Mercury’s retrograde, there may be much for us to assimilate going forward.

RESPECT AND RELEASE
Monday, August 15, 2016:
Monday brings us the isolationist Capricorn Moon forming harsh connections with both Pluto and Uranus. This highlights the tough aspect between Pluto and Uranus that has reflected many of our cultural and personal woes over the past 4 years. We have watched the struggle between our need for independence and freedom and our equally valid need for structure and stability. These two needs crash into each other regularly in a million different ways. The planetary cycles are expressed in the political struggle, and reflected in our personal struggles.
We have front row seats on an amazing show – for all its wonder and distress!
These are quickly passing Moon transits and will only cause serious problems if we respond from a place of fear, defensiveness, and our own self-interest. Look outside of yourself to find understanding of perspectives that are not necessarily aligned with your own.
This is a great day to spend in solitary contemplation and work. Show kindness toward others with the acknowledgement that you can never fully understand another’s view. You don’t have to. You only need to respect and allow.
The Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:45 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius Tuesday morning at 7:53 AM EDT. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

INNOVATION AND DETACHMENT
Tuesday, August 16, 2016:
On Tuesday morning at 7:53 AM EDT, the Moon enters intellectually innovative Aquarius.  With the Moon in Aquarius, we are able to take a break from sensitivity and overly engaged emotions. We have the ability to detach from drama and seek unusual solutions.
At 4:23 PM EDT, the Sun while moving through dramatic Leo, trines Uranus the planet that rules Aquarius, making this a very Aquarian day. If possible, make it a point to spend time with your most unique friends working on original projects created for the betterment of humanity. Keep your eyes on the larger picture. In all things, consider what is best for all humankind rather than on your own self interests.
The excitement or anxiety that you feel today is a direct result of a seed that was planted in your life on or around April 9th. What action did you take to help that seed develop on or about July 16th? On Tuesday, the Sun trine Uranus brings excitement (or dread) as you intuit the outcome approaching. You may receive surprising or unusual news that will help move you forward. The full illumination of this cycle occurs in mid October.
The Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) until she enters Aquarius this morning at 7:53 AM EDT. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.
One thing to remember, if you feel low or depressed on Tuesday, consider what it is that the Universe is asking of you that you are afraid to take on. Gather courage and step up to that plate.
The Moon forms an energetic sextile to Mars at 6:50 PM EDT. You may have an unexpected boost of energy in the evening hours. Don’t waste it sitting home alone. Get out into the world and find people who will engage in interesting and inspirational conversations.

POWERFUL LOVE

Wednesday, August 17, 2016:
The Moon continues through objective Aquarius throughout Wednesday. This is another day when we should be able to see the world objectively and not get caught in sensitivity or other challenging emotional states.
At 10:17 PM EDT, harmonious Venus forms a trine aspect to transformative Pluto.  This trine aspect creates a free flow of empowerment into our love relationships, our sense of beauty, and possibly, our finances.  A gift is given, a gift of love or a gift of insight. This cycle began with a seed of passion and beauty planted in early February, by the end of June you knew how far this seed was going to be able to develop.
Now is the time to set it on its way, to begin to deepen the commitment or, alternatively, begin to release it. Now, you should be able to see and understand the trajectory of development and how this energy can be of service to others.  Profound observations can be made if we keep our eyes open and continue to check in with the reality of others.
Opening your heart, you will find love is right there waiting.

AQUARIUS FULL MOON: ILLUMINATION
Thursday, August 18, 2016:
The Aquarius Full Moon is exact at 5:27 AM EDT.  At the Full Moon, the world embodies a sense of illumination. The Moon provides the light by which we can see what is often hidden. Truths are easily revealed, understood, and accepted at the Full Moon.
With the Sun in expressive Leo and the Moon in unusual Aquarius, we are able to show our full authentic and unique self while maintaining open hearted generosity. Did you do your New Moon ritual on August 2nd? Can you now see how far you have come regarding the seed that you planted at that time?
At 12:35 PM EDT, the Moon enters the dreamy artistic sign of Pisces shifting our moods and feelings to sensitive awareness and gentle fantasy. Kindness toward others comes more easily as compassion and empathy expand. Allow that compassion and inspiration to envelop your heart and include others in your deepest dreams.
The Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:27 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 12:35 PM. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

DEEP SENSITIVITY
Friday, August 19, 2016:
The Moon continues moving through imaginative, sensitive Pisces on Friday. Let’s think about Pisces for a moment. Pisces relates to all that is intangible and unknowable. We attach words to the signs to enable us to understand their meanings and to somehow make them more solid. Yet, regardless of what words we attach to it, when we reach for Pisces it dissolves in our hands.
At 7:21 AM EDT, the Pisces Moon conjunct Neptune, increasing the sensitive, compassionate, and mystical energy of this day. You may notice yourself feeling more emotionally sensitive than usual. Please remember that others are more sensitive than usual as well. Be gentle in dealing with anyone you encounter.
Allow your imagination to soar with inspiration, idealism, and sensitivity. Create something of beauty, get lost in music or art, and meditate.

SEEK INTERNAL PATIENCE
Saturday, August 20, 2016:
On Saturday morning, you have a choice to make. You could get up very early for conversation and connections with expansively minded friends or you could simply stay in bed late and enjoy connecting with whoever is in your immediate environment, and relax easily into the day.
If you choose to meet up with friends, do so before 8:20 AM EDT. If you stay home, pour yourself that first cup of coffee before 8:20 AM EDT. With the Moon VOC*, It doesn’t really matter how you spend the time between 8:20 AM EDT and 3:19 PM EDT. Not a lot will result from however you choose to spend this time… so, sleep, drink coffee, play with your grandchildren! Whatever seems like a good idea will be fine.
At 3:19 PM EDT, the Moon enters courageous, independent Aries.  Make a plan to use direct physical energy on Saturday afternoon or evening. Make love; go for a run, a bike ride, or head to the gym. It is important that you move physical energy consciously in order to support internal calm.
This is a good evening for physical expression but not particularly for social interactions. We may be a bit impatient and even selfish. Be aware that others are feeling the same way. Seek patience while staying out of circumstances that could bring up aggression, forcefulness, and combativeness.  Seriously stay out of political conversations on Saturday afternoon and into the evening. No one will have the ability to see any perspective but what they are already attached to. Anger and self-righteousness is right below the surface and can easily emerge.  Respectfully avoiding these conversations will be your best bet.
The Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:20 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 3:19 PM. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

KEEP YOUR HEART & MIND AWAKE
Sunday, August 21, 2016:
You will want to get up early on Sunday morning to enjoy the dynamic Aries Moon forming a trine aspect to energetic Mars at 5:10 AM EDT followed by the Moon trine stabilizing Saturn at 7:44 AM EDT. You will have access to powerfully courageous and independent energy. Use it wisely.
Perhaps planning a solitary (Aries is an independent sign) adventure that will take effort and courage to accomplish. Make sure this ‘adventure’ has no ill effects on others.
At 4:42 PM EDT, when the Aries Moon squares Pluto, you may be confronted with the darker side of your own or another’s hostility and selfishness. Maintain awareness of others, the importance of kindness, and the value of love. This is not a day to go into unconscious states of paranoia, coercion, or obsession. Keep the softest side of your mind and heart awake.
As we close out the week, we approach a conjunction between Mercury and Jupiter that will be exact on Monday morning (August 22) at 5:04 AM EDT. We will be feeling this energy as it approaches. This will help us to open our minds to a new, and more expansive vision going forward.  Consider how you want to open your thinking two new ideas and perspectives. Are there new conversations to be had, new studies to engage with, or simply new windows of the mind to fling open?

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, textiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

UNUSUAL SURPRISES
Monday, August 8, 2016:
I just love the looks of this Monday morning. With the Moon in Libra and the Sun in Leo, this is a delightful combination! As much attention and adoration as the Leo Sun can ask for, the Libra Moon willingly gives. These two support each other delightfully with playfulness and romance.
At 1:42 PM EDT, the Libra Moon opposes Uranus throwing a wild card into the mix. Depending on your own sensibilities and astrological makeup, this is the day of grand excitement or profound anxiety. Unexpected news and unusual surprises could come to light.
* It is also my birthday! Happy Birthday dear Astrolore!*
The Moon is VOC* from 1:42 PM EDT until she enters Scorpio in the early hours of Tuesday morning. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

INTROSPECTION THROUGH LOVE OR ART
Tuesday, August 9, 2016:
On Tuesday, we head into deeper waters with the Moon in Scorpio encouraging us to look under the surface and hide from nothing. Yes, Scorpio has a bad rap, but we must question that and ask ourselves: where would we be without the deep introspection Scorpio calls for?
Anytime Scorpio speaks to us, we need to remember the importance of deep internal exploration. If we choose not to look deeply into our internal processes, we live with anxiety; if we look too deeply, we live with depression. Finding the balance between these two extremes is crucial.
On Tuesday, the intense Scorpio Moon makes lovely aspects to both Venus and Neptune. We are deeply sensitive, compassionate, and aware of the needs of others. This encourages us to meet introspection with an open heart and explore our inner depths through love and sexuality, or creativity and art.

EXPRESS VULNERABILITY

Wednesday, August 10, 2016:
Wednesday begins with a continuation of the introspection and sensitivity that we experienced on Tuesday. At 2:21 PM EDT, we come to the First Quarter Square of the Lunar Cycle. Whatever seed you planted for your New Moon ritual on August 2nd, now requires direct and concrete action.
Considering the intensity inherent in the two fixed signs involved (Moon in Scorpio, Sun in Leo) we must understand the requirement is in trusting our most private internal truth to outwardly expression. Who do you trust to see your inner life?
At 7:24 PM EDT, Mercury forms a free-flowing trine aspect to Pluto. Our words hold powerful transformative possibilities.
We are still in the waxing phase of the Moon; consider that you are building something to sustain the future. Express what needs to be expressed, do not hold back.  Allow yourself to experience the power of vulnerability.

DANCE… DANCE.. DANCE…
Thursday, August 11, 2016:
In the wee hours of the morning (1:22 AM EDT), the Scorpio Moon forms a sextile to Jupiter. Our dreams may be powerful and expansive but by the time we wake up the day moves at a slow pace until she enters Sagittarius at 1:24 PM EDT.
At this point, the energy shifts into high gear as our deep feelings come out of contemplation and into expansive awareness of the bigger picture. At 9:05 PM EDT, the Moon conjunct Mars making it difficult to settle down to an early night’s sleep. Don’t even try. I know it’s a Thursday night but this is a delightful evening to go out dancing. That’s my recommendation, pure and simple: Dance… Dance… Dance
If you don’t want to go out, that’s fine! Turn your living room or even your kitchen into a dance floor!
The Moon is VOC* from 1:22 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 1:24 PM EDT. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

RELEASE JUDGEMENT
Friday, August 12, 2016:
I do hope you enjoyed the pleasures of Thursday night! I hope you went dancing just as I recommended,
Unfortunately, with the Moon conjunct Saturn at 8:52 AM EDT you may not feel so great on Friday morning. Perhaps, you didn’t get enough sleep or are experiencing other repercussions from so much fun. What are you learning that will support you in future late night adventures? If the ‘fun/ pleasure’ is truly important, you can learn to accept the consequences and/or take measures that will mitigate those consequences. If it is not important, you go home and to bed early! It is not rocket science. Learn from your mis-steps and you will be delighted to have had them.
Several hours later, at 11:39 AM EDT, the Moon squares Neptune reminding us of the ongoing square between Saturn and Neptune and it’s power of disruption.
The final of three exact ‘hits’ of this aspect occurs on September 10, 2016. Whatever your experience is of this planetary struggle, you will be reminded of it on Friday. This may show up in your life as issues of compassion vs. selfishness, confusion vs. determination, dreams vs. reality, sensitivity vs. control.
It is easy to see how this is playing out in the political and social arena and on the world stage. Where is it playing out in your personal circumstances? In our personal lives and in the culture, seeking balance and expressing kindness is key.
At 7:59 PM EDT, Jupiter opposes Chiron showing us the importance of acceptance and openhearted compassion. The cycle between Jupiter and Chiron began in 2009. Did your understanding of your inner wound come into view or expand at that time?
Now, in mid-August 2016, you are able to see where that understanding has manifested in your life. Consider any fears and self-judgment you have brought with you from that time. Bring those fears to a mystical space.
When you clearly see your own intolerance, prejudice, and racism. you can begin the hard work of unraveling it. We must look at reality in order to make it better. We cannot fix a problem we cannot face. Yes, we are beginning to see. That is my hope and what I see reflected in this powerful day.

MOVING FORWARD; FACING REALITY
Saturday August 13, 2016:
Having been retrograde since March 25th, Saturn stations direct on Saturday at 5:50 AM EDT. Consider what Saturn represents and remember that each planet has a positive side and a more challenging side. Think about Saturn as the heavy hand of reality. Restriction, responsibility, and duty are represented here as well as self-respect, self-determination, solitude, and the ability to build stable structures. When we work well with Saturn, we receive her gifts. As time passes, we learn how to work with these energies more easily and our lives reflect that ease.  When we fight against Saturn, our lives contract and crystallize into structures of limitation and restriction. During the times when Saturn is retrograde, we consider our responsibilities and refrain from taking on new ones.
With Saturn now turning direct, we are ready to look clearly at our circumstances and prepare to build more stable structures and take on responsibilities that will support future growth.
At 10:30 AM EDT, Venus square Saturn suggesting the importance of working with challenges in your personal relationships and in your financial circumstances. The cycle between Saturn and Venus is a cycle of strengthening relationships and personal values. It is the cycle of responsibility and learning through love and/or money. This cycle began in early January. What seed did you plant at that time regarding love or personal value? On June 3rd, you were able to see how far you had come in this regard. Now, it is time to release the expectations you have built in order to prepare for a deepening sense of responsibility toward relationship or money at the end of October.
For now, be clear of the reality of your love life and your bank balance.
The Moon is VOC* from 1:36 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn in the early hours of Sunday morning. Remember, there will be no result from anything that is begun during a VOC* Moon. This is neutral, not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant impact.

BALANCE REALITY & INTUITION
Sunday, August 14, 2016:
Shortly after midnight, the Moon enters stable Capricorn bringing the seriousness of Saturday along into Sunday. However, very different energy is asking us to look at it. At 1:03 PM EDT, Venus opposes Neptune reminding us of a dream that began on March 20, 2016 (give or take a few days).
Perhaps you began an art project, a meditation practice, or a love affair. Whatever began at that time required that you take action to move it forward in the first few days of June. Now, we are encouraged to look clearly at how far that dream has come and how well the seed has grown. We are able to look at our love and our values within a mystical light.
Venus is reflecting to us the current square between serious Saturn and mystical Neptune. This is not easy.  On the one hand, we are looking at reality and structure (Saturn); on the other hand we are looking at confusion or mysticism (Neptune). How do we work with both sides of this equation in both our romantic love relationships and our relationship with money and resources?
It is important that make the effort to balance reality and intuition. It is important that we allow our lives to not fully make sense at this time. It is important that we bring both poetry and hard work to all that we do. Even as you create structure in your relationship, read poetry together, get lost in music, explore the mystical side of love, and explore the mystical soft side of life. Find balance, release expectations.
