The week begins on a delightful note with the Moon newly waning in Cancer, and a lovely conjunction between the Sun and Venus. We will encounter good feelings, kindness, and beauty wherever we turn.
Tuesday, we may see that we were being a bit unrealistic to expect that level of sweetness to maintain itself!
On Wednesday, our energy picks up as we try to squeeze every bit of pleasure we can out of the short season of Summer. With the Moon now in Leo, Summer is very much on our minds. Get the plans in place because you don’t want to waste a bit of it!
As we move deeply into the week, we cannot avoid the unease that looms. It is clear when we look outside ourselves into the political arena and onto the world stage that there are problems seething below the surface. Where are those issues arising in your own life and within your own skin? Look deeply, take time in meditation, it helps more than you can imagine. Make it a true habitual part of your life and it will make a huge difference moving forward.
We are in the thick of the Grand Cross between the Sun in Gemini, Venus in Gemini, Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius, and Neptune in Pisces. These energies are each pulling us in different directions.
Even as we try to build structure, we want to break down boundaries; even as we expand, we want to restrict. Keep moving; keep breathing. Do not blame others for your discomforts. Look at where these energies are all a part of your internal blueprint.
If you know your chart, look to the mid degrees of the Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces). These are the areas you will need to balance and work with consciously.

This week begins on a cheerful note with the Sun/Venus conjunction in Gemini. Interactions with others should be smooth sailing with open, warm, affectionate communication. If you have something to to say, this is the day you will be able to articulate it in a way that is openly accepted.
The Moon is in Cancer throughout the day forming lovely aspects to both Neptune and Jupiter. These transits are supporting emotional connection, compassion, and the expression of love. This combination seeks emotional depth love of a nurturing, kind, and maternal kind.
The Sun/Venus conjunction suggests a profound interest and ability to communicate the love that is internally felt. If you have an opportunity to speak of love and connection do not let it pass by on Monday. Share the good feelings; we all need them.
WAS THAT REALLY A GOOD IDEA?

Tuesday, the Cancer Moon runs into some challenges, perhaps even wondering if it was a good idea to have been so open with her feelings yesterday. Don’t worry; in the long run you did the right thing by sharing your authentic expression. How others respond is not something we can control; nor would we want to if we were able to see the full picture.
From where you stand now, you wonder; where will the backlash come from? Don’t look outside yourself. Take responsibility for the whole story. Why are you questioning the expression of your true self? If someone responds negatively, it is good to know sooner rather than later. You do not want to proceed along a path when the other(s) involved don’t know the whole story. We often stay on the wrong path not knowing the full picture.
In order for connection and love to flourish, we need to show all our cards, the beautiful, the uninspiring, and the downright ugly!
Late afternoon offers more ease; a sextile from the Moon to Mercury wants to elaborate on the original conversation and the trine between Moon and Mars encourages us to push forward and accomplish something that takes effort.

A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE BRINGS A NEW STORY
Wednesday, June 8, 2016:
By the time we wake up on Wednesday morning, the Moon has left the sensitivity of Cancer behind and entered the dynamic arena of Leo. The normally theatrical Moon is quiet on Wednesday; think of the regal lion stretched out in the Sun lazily at rest.
At 9:55 PM EDT, Mercury sextile Chiron providing an opportunity to reform some old stories that have caused us enough pain. With Mercury in slow steadfast Taurus and Chiron in Pisces, this is a deliberate effort to work on a deeply intangible level to unearth deep suffering and replace it with reverence for our deepest humanity.
Suffering is part of living this human life, part of what it means to live in human bodies encountering other human bodies. The stories we tell ourselves about how we have managed this journey determine our experience.
Find a new perspective on some old stories. Retell them in a way that can support who you want to be in the future. You are not changing the facts; you are simply seeing the world with new eyes, looking at your experiences from a different perspective. We are not stuck with a perspective that does not serve us.
HOLD YOUR TONGUE
Thursday, June 9, 2016:
On Monday, it was a good idea to speak what was in your heart. Thursday is a different story; it is important to closely guard your tongue. It would be so easy to lock horns with someone as Mercury opposes Mars at 1:00 PM EDT. Keep in mind the fine line between assertiveness and aggression and the even finer line of how others may perceive your expression.
Perhaps there is something that really needs to be said; the combination of Mercury and Mars will certainly give you the energy to do so. Keep aggression out of it.
Last year between April of 2015 and July of 2015, Mercury and Mars came together three times (due to Mercury retrograde). That began a cycle of asserting ourselves with a story, saying what needed to be said, or expressing anger and aggression.
If you can track that cycle you will see that whatever you began to express at that time is now ready to be released in full illumination. Use this energy wisely; keep solidly aware of any underground anger or resentment that may be seeking an outlet.
Don’t expect this to be easy and don’t let you guard down. The Moon in Leo wants nothing more than full expression. As the Moon makes a trine aspect to Uranus at 9:34 PM EDT, she could easily trick you into saying more than you intend to.
This powerful desire to express what is in your mind provides an excellent day and evening to write. If the entire expression and communication is between you and your pen and paper or between you and your screen and keyboard, there will be no one to argue with but yourself.
Get those aggressive, assertive communications on paper, you may learn something important when you go back and read what you have written.

Friday brings us to a resting spot after the difficult struggles of Thursday. Regardless of whether you managed to avoid a battle of wills or not, today gives you the space to do a bit of internal emotional housecleaning. If you feel guilty about something you said or wish you had said more, this is a time to release the entire internal and external conversation. Don’t dwell on the cranky story beneath the issue. Feel the energy deeply and release it.
The Moon enters Virgo at 9:45 AM EDT suggesting a great day to do some practical organization, clean the closets, or clean out your email inbox. As we organize in the real world, our internal issues become organized as well. Honor the process by doing some little project and see it in a bigger context. As above, so below; as the cupboards, so the mind.

The Moon continues through the workaholic sign of Virgo. This is an outstanding day for working through your to-do list.
It is the middle of June and you may be itching to celebrate. This is the first weekend of summer vacation for many students and teachers. Because Summer is so short (at least here in New England), it is tempting to try to make every weekend a party or a celebration.
This Saturday seems simply too productive to spend in celebration. If you are not getting home owner type projects done, than spend the day on the beach with a good book. This is not a day of high excitement but a day of steady effort and productivity or self-care and kindness.
LOOK FOR THE UNUSUAL
Sunday, June 12, 2016:
Sunday’s First Quarter Moon (21 degrees Virgo Moon to Gemini Sun) is exact at 4:10 AM EDT. Look back to last Saturday’s New Moon. Did you do your New Moon ritual; did you plant your seed? If it was a seed of communication (the New Moon was in Gemini) you have certainly had a lot to think about this week with the challenges we have had to communication and gaining clarity in other areas as well. On Sunday, pay attention to the task that is asking to be done in service of the seed you planted. If it were an actual seed this would be the day that you would want to give it some fertilizer as well as making sure it has plenty of water.
What is it that your aspiration needs in order to reach its intended growth at the Full Moon next week? The square between the Sun and Moon is likely to induce some discomfort but it should pass easily with a sextile between loving Venus and unpredictable Uranus (11:12 AM EDT) grabbing our attention. This offers excitement and opportunity. Your mind may bring you back to a project of beauty, money, or love that began in late April. The only thing needed now is to explore where you would like this to develop over the coming months. If you meet someone new or encounter unusual beauty that interests you, pay attention.
Expect something new and unusual; it is right there… with eyes open you will see it.
At 7:22 PM EDT, Mercury enters Gemini; let the talking begin! In Gemini, we are all in the mood to talk and our curiosity arises about how others think. Mercury will remain in its home sign until the evening of June 29th when it will enter Cancer.
The Moon enters Libra at 8:43 PM EDT enabling us to make satisfying connections with loved ones in time to end the weekend.
