Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: November 12, 2018 through November 18, 2018

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: November 12, 2018 through November 18, 2018

Moving forward has indeed been a challenge in recent months! In June 2018, Mars turned retrograde beginning a very long slog of personal planet retrogrades. Have you felt that you just couldn’t get the proper traction to move forward in multiple areas of your life? No surprise with all these retrogrades. The end is not here yet but it is within our sights.
The best news this week is that Venus (having been retrograde since October 5th) turns direct on Friday (at 25° Libra). If you have done your due diligence in looking inward regarding your personal values, relationships, and finances, you can anticipate beginning to slowly move forward on these issues.
The rather unfortunate news is that on the very same day, this Friday, Mercury turns retrograde! If you have learned to properly work with Mercury retrograde, this will not concern you, only alert you. This suggests that you need to slow down, there are plans that are not yet ready for implementation. What needs to be reconsidered and talked about before moving forward? What communications and projects still need to be revisited and worked through carefully and with full awareness? Take your time. In three weeks, on December 6th, Mercury will turn direct and all systems (personal planets) indicate forward motion.
As always, remember to wrap things up before Mercury turns retrograde. Wrap up holiday plans, sign any documents or agreements that need to be done, and back up all data on your computer. During the retrograde, do not start new projects. Complete what has been left undone.
Remember to celebrate Venus’ direct motion. Take your partner or a loved one out to dinner, enjoy a museum or a concert. Love and finances are ready to shift and change in a forward direction.

BUILD FOCUS AND INTEGRITY
Monday, November 12, 2018:
With the Moon in Capricorn on Monday, you can expect a serious day when you won’t be interested in dealing with trivial issues. You may be most comfortable working on your own. Focus on serious work that has long-term repercussions. Plan for the upcoming Mercury retrograde.
Early afternoon, when the Moon tangles with Pluto, you may struggle with intense overwhelm. Take a break and go for a walk. It is only a Moon transit and will pass before you know it. Ease your mind and take a break.
Remember that there are days you need to dream, days you need to play, and days you need to work. This is a day for work. If you are drifting or wasting your gifts, now is the time to get clarity on what needs to happen to change your course. You can make a decision now. One simple step can start a new direction.

BREAK FREE
Tuesday, November 13, 2018:
You may experience some anxiety and stress early in the day as the serious Capricorn Moon has a difficult conversation with anxious Uranus. Your emotions may feel unsettled and unmoored. This will not last and when the Moon enters Aquarius at 10:46 AM EDT you are ready for social interactions.
Engaging with others will open your mind to more unusual thoughts and activities that may surprise, worry, or delight you.  Allow the more rebellious and spontaneous parts of your nature to emerge. Break out of routines and unhealthy stuck patterns that hold you back. You can break bad habits most easily under the influence of the objective Aquarius Moon. Break free.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* for a very brief period of time between 10:14 AM EDT and 10:46 PM EDT when she interesting Aquarius. While the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LIVE AND LET LIVE
Wednesday, November 14, 2018:
The Moon is in innovative, unconventional Aquarius on Wednesday. Make it a point to seek out people you don’t generally engage with. We all tend to spend time with people who look, behave, and live much as we do. Break out of that mold.
How can we possibly develop compassion and understanding for folks who think in ways we do not understand? How can we learn to understand folks we do not engage with? Seek out people of a different race, sexuality, gender identification, age group, nationality, political affiliation (yes, even that). Listen. Learn to love those who do not live like you. We are all human and we all have valid reasons for our proclivities, beliefs, and values.
When the Moon is in Aquarius, you can maintain objectivity enough to begin the process of understanding. You don’t have to look very far to see how desperately we need to learn this lesson of acceptance and understanding. Live and let live.

MARS BECOMES OUR SPIRITUAL WARRIOR
Thursday, November 15, 2018:
There is a lot of astrological activity on Thursday. The day begins with some excitement or anxiety as assertive Mars has a friendly conversation with unconventional Uranus. You may feel a strong and impulsive need to let go of something that began in February 2017.  Something that feels stuck may easily release. If you feel depressed, consider what you know you need to do but are avoiding. You may be able to avoid it now but you will be pushed more firmly in that direction in mid-February 2019.
This all relates to a cycle of developing personal freedom and truly becoming the most unique expression of your individual self. You can choose to make a big change this week when it will come more easily, or wait until February.
At 5:20 PM EDT, Mars leaves Aquarius behind to enter Pisces. Since March when Mars entered Capricorn, there has been a general sense that we have been trying to move ahead with the breaks on. Now, as he moves into Pisces he is ready to move more easily.
Mars is the planet of action and conquest. Pisces is the sign of deep mystical understanding. Let’s consider Mars in Pisces as the spiritual warrior. You may feel driven to develop a deeper understanding of compassion and empathy. This is a great placement for artists as your imagination will be activated and you will want to take action on what you imagine. Maintaining focus may be challenging but engage that compassion and inspiration and you will find your way.
One more thing! The Moon reaches its First Quarter Phase asking that you take action on whatever you began at the New Moon last Wednesday. The Moon then enters Pisces shortly before midnight.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* for a very brief period of time between 10:59 PM EDT and 11:42 PM EDT when she enters Pisces. While the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

Are you passionate about astrology but unsure how to begin your studies? Do you know just enough about astrology to realize how much you DON’T know? Do you have a deep understanding of astrology but don’t know how to have a meaningful conversation with a client? MOVING FORWARD-LOOKING BACK
Friday, November 16, 2018:
Early on Friday morning, Venus turns direct in Libra. Since October 5th, we have all turned inward to understand our most personal values in the area of love and finance. Now, as you move forward you can expect your relationships and finances to move forward more easily as well.
Over the coming weeks, you will be able to make necessary changes to improve these areas of your life. Consider what you have learned since early October and you should be able to understand the adjustments needed. Venus wants to build harmony and balance in Libra, now she will be able to do just that.
The cosmic joke comes with Mercury turning retrograde on the same day that Venus turns direct.  A sense of humor is helpful!
If you have followed me for a long time you probably are fairly comfortable with this common retrograde. Mercury does a three week retrograde three times a year.
4 Simple Steps to get Mercury Retrograde to Work for You!

  • Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  • Get a notebook and a pen – Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months
  • Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list
  • Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

Learning to enjoy and work with the retrograde cycles of the personal planets is one of the greatest ways that understanding astrology can support your everyday life. This is such a great time to catch up on tasks and projects that have been left undone. If you stick with the program you will find yourself more productive than ever!

GO WITH THE FLOW
Saturday, November 17, 2018:
The Moon moves through dreamy Pisces on Saturday, offering a mixed blessing. If you were hoping to accomplish specific things that require determination or fortitude, you will find yourself in an unhappy struggle. If, however, you are an artist, a dreamer, or a poet at heart, you will welcome a weekend day in this gentle, emotional space.
While the Moon is in Pisces, you may feel softer, more adaptable, sensitive, and more vulnerable than usual. As you deal with others, remember that underneath the mask each person wears is a deeply vulnerable soul looking for love and compassion.
You may find that you are drawn to water, poetry, or music. Compassion, intuition, and imagination are more easily than usual tapped into. Enjoy a movie, a glass of wine, or time on your meditation cushion. The Pisces Moon will help you to go with the flow if you let it.

DIRECT PASSIONATE EXCHANGE
Sunday, November 18, 2018:
You can expect the early morning on Sunday to continue the theme from Saturday of sensitivity and dreaminess courtesy of the Pisces Moon. Enjoy it while it lasts!
The Moon enters assertive, action-oriented Aries at 10:56 AM EDT, putting aside all that watery sensitivity. The rest of Sunday you may find that you are more concerned with yourself than with others. This is necessary and not in any way a bad thing. We certainly don’t want to be selfish but we clearly need to turn our attention to our own needs on occasion.
With the Moon in Aries, you are inclined toward individual acts of courage and daring. You may be tempted to do something you normally would shy away from. Go for courageousness without sacrificing at least a bit of caution.
When the Moon is in Aries, it is time to take on a challenge, be competitive, take a risk, or prove something to yourself. This is not a time for empathy or romance, better to go for a direct passionate exchange.
The Pisces Moon is VOC* from 3:04 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 10:56 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…” ~ Dane Rudhyar, Astrological Aspects – a Process Oriented Approach, 1980.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: November 5, 2018 through November 11, 2018

The exciting news of this week is the ingress of Jupiter into Sagittarius on Thursday morning.
Last year (October 2017), Jupiter’s entrance into the intense, dark waters of Scorpio marked the time when the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse scandal broke. We have spent much time deliberating and expanding our understanding of the darker side of sexuality and sexual assault over this past year, appropriate for Jupiter’s time in Scorpio, the sign where we dig deeply into issues of sexual manipulation and the need to rise above our darkest impulses.
Jupiter expands our awareness and broadens our scope of understanding. With Jupiter now entering Sagittarius, a new area of heightened awareness will open. Sagittarius brings us to thoughts of different worldviews. We hold a worldview that is not the same as others. It is time to look outside our narrow view.
This year will expand our attention on what is not familiar. We will look and learn through other’s philosophies and cultural differences. When Jupiter is in Sagittarius, we consider the importance of freedom and understanding for those differences. We seek wisdom. Our worldview is asked to expand and broaden. I am hopeful.
Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Jupiter is very happy to be back in its home sign where it will remain for approximately a year. During this time, you can expect more and even BIGGER conversations about those who travel and live lives different from our own.
Look to the house that holds Sagittarius in your personal horoscope to understand more specifically where this expansion occurs in your life. (Check out my offerings on Patreon for more help in consistently being able to track these movements in your life).
Jupiter follows a 12-year cycle, if you consider what began to expand in the Fall of 2006, you may have some hints on what area of your life is being revisited for a new level of expansion.

There is something out there. Astrology is like a game of chess with an invisible partner. We set out the board and the rules, make a move, and then find that the pieces are moving, as if by an invisible hand.” ~ Noel Tyl

GRACE AND BEAUTY
Monday, November 5, 2018:
The week begins with the Moon in relationship-oriented Libra. You will likely begin the day with a strong desire to please others, engage in social niceties, and create beauty and harmony.
It sounds lovely and it is. However, you can expect a challenge in the form of someone or something pushing against your efforts in the early afternoon with a square from the Moon to Pluto at 12:56 PM EDT.
Commit yourself to let that challenge go without engaging it with anger and defensiveness. As the day moves on, you will regain balance and work toward fairness and pleasure in all your interactions.
Sometimes, it is challenging to make a definitive decision when the Moon is in Libra, but perhaps you don’t need to. Keep the day simple. Bring beauty into your life. Visit a museum, go to an art show, paint a picture, or engage with a crafty project. Bring grace and decorum to all that you do.
Due to an early morning trine between the Scorpio Sun and Neptune, don’t be surprised by an overriding sense of dreaminess, lack of clarity, or heightened imagination, particularly as the day proceeds.

ASSERT YOURSELF WITHOUT ANGER OR AGGRESSION
Tuesday, November 6, 2018:
Early Tuesday morning, the all-powerful Sun (in deeply contemplative Scorpio) forms a flowing trine to dreamy Neptune. This offers an open awareness of spiritual compassion and inspiration. Find time on Tuesday to sing, write a poem, or take a nap.
The Moon joins the Sun in mysterious Scorpio just after 8:00 AM EDT, deepening your emotional depth. You are unlikely to be satisfied with surface interactions.
Since Uranus entered Taurus in mid-May, the earth has been working to show each of us where we need to wake up regarding our bodies and our planet. Now, for a few months (until early March) Uranus retrogrades back into Aries once again. There is some message regarding your ability to assert and stand up for yourself that you have been working on since 2011 that offers you another chance to understand and get it right.
What house does Aries hold in your chart? It is in that area that you have a bit more learning to do regarding standing up for yourself without destroying the other person in the process.
You will see may folks get it wrong on Tuesday and in the coming days as they rush to anger and aggression, trying to control others with their sense of entitlement and power. Don’t forget to vote.
The Libra Moon is VOC* from 3:18 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio at 8:02 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SCORPIO NEW MOON – PLANT A SEED OF DEEP REFLECTION
Wednesday, November 7, 2018:
We wake at the darkest point of the Lunar Phase on Wednesday. At the New Moon, the Moon joins with the Sun, making herself invisible as the Sun’s rays overtake her. Cultivate awareness of the significance of how you manage yourself and what seeds you plant at the New Moon. With the Moon in Scorpio, the seed you plant is one of deep emotional significance. You are willing to look deeper than usual and take an emotional risk.
When the Moon is in Scorpio, you may be more aware of those things that you generally keep out of sight and all the things that polite society would rather you kept hidden under a rug. However, Scorpio suggests the importance of bringing what is hidden into the light, to be excavated, and to be brought forth for healing. Tell your own secret or hold one close to your heart for a friend.
New Moon ritual
Late Wednesday or anytime on Thursday, plan and implement your New Moon ritual. Keep it simple. First, take a moment to write down what changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in the coming month and up to the next 6 months.
For this Scorpio New Moon, set an intention regarding deep introspection, passion, and emotional transformation. Perhaps, this intention involves taking on a new lover or deepening a passionate connection with a current lover, perhaps, it involves delving deeply into your own hidden, compulsive secrets. You could plant this powerful seed by starting a journal to work deeply on self-reflection.
If you know what house in your birth chart holds 15° Scorpio, it will help you clarify where this issue is coming from. For example, if Scorpio is in your 1st house, set an intention for coming to understand some hidden issues in your personality; in the 4th house, set an intention to transformation and intensity into your home/ family; in the 7th, the intention may be for more passion in your partnership; in the 10th, you may plant a seed to uncover secrets in your work world or expose some hidden aspects of your reputation.
If you don’t know what house is involved, simply go with your intuition regarding the area of life that needs to grow through depth, introspection, and the exploration of hidden powers.
Have two candles available for the ritual; light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are in this moment. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you intend to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. When you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you are choosing to create as you bring the two candles closer together. Do this each day and at the Full Moon in two weeks, you will bring them fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.
The Scorpio New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of deep empowerment and transformation. Share this ritual with your friends and loved ones.

EXPAND YOUR VIEW
Thursday, November 8, 2018:
The most significant point of the entire month of November happens on Thursday at 7:38 AM EDT, as Jupiter, the planet of expansion, idealism, and wisdom enters its home sign of Sagittarius. Jupiter and Sagittarius have much in common and Jupiter is thrilled to be in this, its happy place. Jupiter will remain in Sagittarius for a year bringing opportunity and expansion to the area of your life (house) that holds Sagittarius.
Jupiter expands our awareness and broadens our scope of understanding. Over the course of the coming year, your understanding of how others experience the world will broaden and expand. This is a hopeful shift for us all.
At 2:00 PM EDT, the Moon follows Jupiter into Sagittarius. The downside of this doubling down in Sagittarius may be the tendency (the day after these contentious midterm elections) to get stuck in our belief that our view of the world is the RIGHT view. Remember, the positive side of Sagittarius is to open to see the full view, to understand the beliefs of others who think differently than we do. We all see the world from a different perspective. Do your best to be respectful of others. Consciously cultivate understanding, humor, and wisdom over the coming days.
The Scorpio Moon is VOC* from 5:42 AM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 2:00 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SHARE WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED

Friday, November 9, 2018:
Friday brings us to a trine aspect between Venus (still retrograde) and Mars. Given that both Venus and Mars are in Air signs, I suspect there is a conversation that may come more easily on Friday than you may have anticipated.
Venus has been retrograde for more than a month now and we have all contemplated our values in relationships at a deep level. Something that you have learned is ready to be shared. Perhaps, it will be in conversation or perhaps you could write a story that deepens your understanding of the process that Venus retrograde is still moving you through.
The Sagittarius Moon offers wisdom and a wider viewpoint. This may be a great evening to let loose and have fun. Let go of all the deep contemplations of the past few days, and kick up your heels. Prepare for a weekend road trip, explore someplace new, go dancing, play, have fun!

SEEK UNDERSTANDING, HUMOR, JOY & WISDOM
Saturday, November 10, 2018:
Welcome to a happy weekend! Plan a road trip or a party. This is a good time to get away and see different sights or engage with folks that will expand your thinking and view of the world. The Moon is in explorative Sagittarius making wonderful aspects to loving Venus, assertive Mars, and exciting Uranus. Spend the weekend expanding your vision, seeking wisdom, and looking for a good time!
Don’t let yourself get stuck in your own opinions or beliefs; remember to keep an open mind and learn from folks who think differently than you do! Consciously cultivate understanding, humor, and wisdom.
There is no need for deep contemplations or difficulties, let it all go! Kick up your heels, go dancing, and have fun!
At 10:55 PM EDT, the Moon enters Capricorn bringing a more serious day on Sunday.

A RELEASE POINT; LETTING GO
Sunday, November 11, 2018:
When you start the day on Sunday, you will notice a much more serious vibe as the Moon is now in authoritative, hardworking Capricorn. Sunday is a day to spend alone working on goals and ambitious projects. Get serious about the work that you want to accomplish. Put a stake in the ground and determine the direction that will bring you where you need to go.
When the Moon is in Capricorn, we are reminded that our lives and actions have consequences and we have important goals to pay attention to and things to accomplish.
Sunday is not a day for dreaming or playing, it is a day to contemplate significant life issues. If you are drifting or wasting your gifts, now is the time to get clarity on what needs to happen to change your course. Consider the importance of working with clear integrity to attain mastery of whatever is your calling. If you do not have a calling or don’t know what it is, make a serious practice of curiosity. Explore until you find what makes your soul sing.
The second week of January 2018, the Sun joined with Pluto beginning a cycle of understanding a deep cultural or personal shadow. Now, with the Sun sextile Pluto, is a point of release as you explore the darkness you are letting go of and what might present itself at the next cycle in January 2019. Something releases now with ease as you explore the future.

We are moving into a very interesting and mostly positive week.
On Tuesday, the Sun leaves relationship-oriented Libra behind to enter the deeply psychological sign of Scorpio. Now, we enter the darkest time of the year as we go deeply inward to find what is below the surface.
That may sound difficult but there are lovely aspects throughout the week that support our ability to communicate, the ability to support and love each other, and the ability to stabilize our lives.
I don’t want to paint too rosy a picture as Tuesday evening brings an opposition from the Sun to Uranus. I like to think of that aspect as bringing great excitement. However, the reality is it could also bring great anxiety. Do your best to direct your days to a search for excitement while maintaining whatever personal practices support stability in your life.

YOUR EMPOWERED VOICE
Monday, October 22, 2018:
In the wee hours of the morning, the growing Moon (she will be Full on Wednesday) enters assertive, dynamic Aries. Today also marks the last day with the Sun in peace-loving Libra as the Sun enters Scorpio tomorrow. The Aries Moon offers a fiery, dynamic energy as we approach the intense, internal time of Scorpio Season.
At 3:13 PM EDT, Mercury forms a sweet sextile aspect to Pluto. This suggests that the time has come to speak your mind. What powerful and significant communication have you been sitting on, waiting for just the right time? With Venus still retrograde, perhaps there is some issue from the past that needs to be raised. Your voice (in speech or the written word) may be empowered and strong. Make sure it is kind as well. The important thing is that your intentions are honorable and in the ultimate service of loving kindness.

SUN ENTERS SCORPIO – FACING DARKNESS, GOING DEEP
Tuesday, October 23, 2018:
At 7:22 AM EDT, the Sun leaves diplomatic Libra behind and enters the deep, emotional waters of Scorpio where it will remain until November 22nd. During the time that the Sun is in Scorpio, the clocks turn back resulting in more darkness in our lives, we encounter small ghouls on our doorstep seeking treats to keep evil away (Happy Halloween!), and the leaves take leave of the branches of the trees.
Darkness arrives in every corner of our lives. Scorpio asks us to look beneath the surface and uncover what we have kept hidden and secretive in our lives. As we face and look deeply into the eye of darkness, we grow in understanding and compassion. The veil between the world we function in and the world of spirits seems to dissolve during Scorpio season, allowing us to see beyond the boundaries we generally assume are firmly in place.
At 8:46 PM EDT, the Sun opposes Uranus, an aspect that has been building over the past few days. Look to the houses in your chart that hold Scorpio and Taurus to understand where these energies may be playing out in your own life. Expect anxiety or excitement here. The Sun shines its light and brings heat to something unexpected. Watch for unusual issues to be revealed suddenly without warning in your own life and in the social, cultural, and political arenas.
Get outside as much as possible this week. Have you heard of Forest Bathing? In Japanese culture, it is called ‘Shinrin-Yoku”, and is the evidence based activity of immersing in oneself in nature for powerful health benefits.

The Aries Moon is VOC* from 2:18 PM EDT until she enters Taurus on Wednesday morning at 10:33 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

TAURUS FULL MOON – ILLUMINATE SENSUALITY AND BEAUTY
Wednesday, October 24, 2018:
Venus has been retrograde in Scorpio since October 5th suggesting a reorientation to deeply personal issues of love and finances. At 8:51 PM EDT, Venus sextiles Saturn.   This offers a possibility and an opportunity to stabilize the intensity of the past few weeks. Look for an opportunity to show love from a powerful stable place in your heart.
When the Moon enters Taurus at 10:33 AM EDT, you can breathe deeply and enjoy a renewed sense of body awareness and appreciation of beauty. The Taurus Full Moon is exact at 12:46 PM EDT.  The Full Moon always give us a chance to open to a clarity that has been a bit subdued since the New Moon two weeks earlier. Because the Full Moon is in the sensual sign of Taurus, this is a day to celebrate all our senses.
Consider each in turn. Celebrate taste, go for comfort food; celebrate sight, notice what is right in front of you; celebrate touch with a massage or simply petting your cat; celebrate smell by paying attention as you cook your meal; celebrate sound as you listen to a child’s voice or your lover speak your name. In all things, this is the day to notice, pay attention, open up to your senses. Remember Forest Bathing (‘Shinrin-Yoku”), you can engage all your senses as you give your body, mind, and soul a tremendous health boost.
The Aries Moon is VOC* until she entries Taurus at 10:33 AM EDT.  When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

AROUSE YOUR SENSES
Thursday, October 25, 2018:
With the Moon in sensual, slow moving Taurus on Thursday, you will be able to experience life though your senses. This is a day to slow down, be quiet and still. There is no need to push yourself in the service of accomplishment or what someone else desires you to do.
Go ahead and indulge your senses with good food, good sex, good music, and a massage. Your senses seek arousal. Get outdoors in nature, walk barefoot on the earth, listen to the trees sing and pay attention to the messages the Earth is constantly offering.
The only bump in the road on Thursday is a square from the Moon to Mars at 6:18 PM EDT. Perhaps, it would be good to spend a portion of the evening on your own to avoid aggravations toward others, or better yet, you could postpone dinner and climb into bed for an energetic roll in the hay! That would provide the energies a direct and forceful way to express themselves and support the higher good of building love.

SHINE A LIGHT ON LOVE
Friday, October 26, 2018:
Venus has been working hard (during her retrograde: October 5 – November 16) to focus your attention and have you reconsider your deeply personal issues around love and money. On Friday at 10:16 AM EDT, with the Sun and Venus conjunct at 3° Scorpio, you are able to see something that you have kept hidden from yourself in the past. Open your eyes and look into the dark corners that sometimes seem easier to ignore. Love, value, beauty, money, & resources take center stage, not in a loud expressive manner, but internally and privately. This is allows the growth of deep understanding regarding the depth of your own personal values.
Show love more profoundly, spend money on what you truly value, create beauty through art, and deep loving kindness.
At 3:40 PM EDT, the Moon enters Gemini leading you into a weekend of friendships, connections, conversations, and socializing. Don’t spend the evening alone, find folks to engage with to share deeply held beliefs.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* from 10:49 AM EDT until she enters Gemini at 3:40 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A LIGHT-HEARTED WEEKEND
Saturday, October 27, 2018:
A Gemini Moon is always welcome on weekends. Remember, the Moon provides the emotional landscape of the passing days. With the Moon in Gemini, we feel more light-hearted and casual than usual.
Your attention span may be short as you want to socialize, see new things, meet new people, and generally have a good time with as many folks as possible. Humor is a good way to diffuse Gemini’s propensity toward anxiety. Anxiety can become an issue when you want to know and learn everything, all at once, at lightning speed.
This is a great weekend to catch up on communications and catch up with friends. You won’t be in the mood for deep or serious connections but are interested in having a good time, playing games, or chatting.
If you don’t have that social community to connect with, do some light-hearted research, read, or begin writing a story that speaks to your heart.

BE CURIOUS, ASK QUESTIONS
Sunday, October 28, 2018:
The Moon continues to color the weekend with the talkative, social shades of Gemini for the majority of Sunday. The focus is on mental stimulation and bringing your thoughts and ideas to others. If you do not engage in mental activity, you will very likely become painfully restless and irritable.
Stay in motion, seek others to talk and engage information with. Allow yourself to get curious and inquisitive about others’ lives and thinking. Visit with your siblings and other relatives, make some phone calls. Gather information about things that call to you. Go on a short road trip, see something new.
When the Moon enters Cancer at 7:28 PM EDT, you are ready to be home for a quiet evening with family and loved ones. I think it has been a good weekend.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* from 12:38 AM EDT until she enters Cancer at 7:28 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

A SIMPLE CHANGE OF FOCUS
Monday, October 15, 2018:
As the week begins, pause to consider what you learned over the weekend. As you ended the day on Sunday, the Capricorn Moon joined with authoritative Saturn (Capricorn’s ruler). A serious contemplation enters the week with you.
As the Moon is waxing, steadily growing day by day, she forms lovely supportive sextile aspects to Mercury, Venus, and Neptune throughout the day. Whatever lesson you took from the weekend settles into your heart and you are able to begin the week with a renewed clarity of your responsibilities and your willingness to work diligently with them.
At 4:20 PM EDT, Mercury joins with still retrograding Venus in deeply intense Scorpio. Spend time contemplating reality. Consider your own responsibility in your dissatisfaction regarding partnerships and finances. It is time to make the effort to shift your thinking to a place of acceptance and understanding going forward.
Could the real problem be your own commitment to being dissatisfied? This is a day when a simple change of focus can turn everything around.

FACE THE CHALLENGE
Tuesday, October 16, 2018:
You may feel out of sorts in the very early hours of the morning. The serious Capricorn Moon joins forces with Pluto creating a heaviness that may follow you into the day. Don’t hold onto it, allow it to pass without engaging in difficulties with others.
As that passes, we come to the First Quarter Moon phase at 2:02 PM EDT. Whatever you began last week at the New Moon is asking for further attention. What do you need to do to push forward with an intended agenda? There may be a clear division between what you want to do and what you know you should do.
You may feel an uncomfortable pull between two choices. Do what you need to in order to compromise with yourself. The effort required in this internal struggle is actually what is the most important. With the Moon in Capricorn, you may well need to lean in the direction of the choice that requires the most effort and work. Laziness is not an option.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* after 5:50 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 3:35 AM EDT on Wednesday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

INDEPENDENCE
Wednesday, October 17, 2018:
In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the Moon enters inventive, unpredictable Aquarius. With the Moon in Aquarius, you may find your thinking moves into less conventional areas. Your thoughts may seek wild innovations and unusual inventive ideas.
This is a good time to gather with others who do not think along conventional lines. Your emotions are far less personal and you are able to view the world from a cooler more detached perspective. You are less interested in personal issues and more drawn to considerations of the plight of humanity as a whole.
You may feel a bit alienated from those around you and in the later part of the day you may encounter issues in personal relationships. With Venus retrograde, consider how your most independent thinking is creating challenges in your intimate relationship. You are unlikely to be in the mood for compromise.
Spend the evening alone or with your less personal, more intellectual acquaintances. Personal independence is deeply important on Wednesday.

Announcement: ASTROLORE is preparing to implement a rate hike for new clients following Venus’ retrograde in mid-November.
If you want to be grand-parented in at the current rate, please make your appointment today!
As always, contact me if you have questions or concerns.

SEEK A BROAD PERSPECTIVE
Thursday, October 18, 2018:
Once again, as with Wednesday, you may not be interested in intimacy or close connections, much preferring independence and a wider perspective on humanity in general.
As the Aquarius Moon joins forces with Mars at 5:50 AM EDT, you may have to take steps to resist anger toward those who have opposing views to your own. It is probably best to keep your opinions to yourself and simply allow the issues to fade away.
Following that cranky morning zing, the rest of the day is relatively quiet.
With the Moon in Aquarius, you will seek freedom from people or situations that feel even a bit claustrophobic or otherwise restrictive. This is a day to engage with your more unusual friends or the folks in your social circle whose opinions help you to develop your personal world-view. Your focus is likely to be objective and you are more interested in what is happening collectively than personally. You are able to open your thinking to new ways of understanding the world.
Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, and consider what you can do to help the suffering of others. Allow for an objective detachment from personal intimacies.

PAY ATTENTION
Friday, October 19, 2018:
Friday should be an interesting day to pay attention to how you are using and engaging your mind. Mercury, the planet that represents our thought processes and communications, begins the day with a flowing trine aspect to imaginative, elusive Neptune. Do not get too attached to your thoughts and be careful how you use your words. Misunderstandings could happen easily as Neptune often suggests that things are not as they seem to be. If you hear something that sounds too good (or too rough) to be true, don’t take it at face value. On the other hand, this is a great morning to use your imagination, to spin fun tales of illusion or poetry.
At 1:23 PM EDT when Mercury squares Mars, you may find that the lack of clarity or strong imagination has gotten twisted around in a manner that is causing you difficulties. Verbal anger or aggression could result but doesn’t have to… instead find within yourself the courage to speak a truth that is deeply important to you.
At 4:21 PM EDT, the Moon leaves detached Aquarius behind to enter mystical, idealistic Pisces. As the Moon passes through Pisces, you may feel called to rest or dream the evening away. You can go with the flow and utilize this sense of watery spaciousness by delving into music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual concerns.
Use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* from 8:28 AM EDT until she entries Pisces at 4:21 PM EDT.  When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ALLOW DREAMS TO MOVE YOU
Saturday, October 20, 2018:
Don’t expect to accomplish much during this dreamy, sensitive weekend unless you are an artist, a poet, or a musician. With the Moon moving through Pisces, you will likely feel softer, more adaptable, sensitive, and vulnerable than usual. Remember this as you engage with others. They may put on a brave face but underneath they are deeply aware of their human susceptibilities.
Make eye contact with those you meet as you go about your day. You are more apt to see the soul beneath the surface.
Find an emotional retreat if you are able. You may be drawn to water, poetry, and music. Compassion, intuition, and imagination are easily tapped into. Enjoy a movie, a glass of wine, or time on your meditation cushion. Sleep and rest, allow dreams to move you.

REST AND DREAM
Sunday, October 21, 2018:
The cosmic movement and planetary impacts on Sunday are relatively quiet. The Moon passes through Pisces, forming lovely aspects to Mercury, Pluto, and Jupiter.
Do not seek and accomplishment as you are likely called to rest or dream the day away.  Pisces is a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, but deeply emotional energies. This will be a good day for meditation, spending time on the water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, or making music.
Enjoy the rest and sweetness that this provides. If you have things that must be done this may feel uncomfortable. Do your best to go with the flow. Enjoy a sense of watery spaciousness by delving into music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual concerns.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* after 7:48 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 2:59 AM EDT on Monday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather September 17, 2018 through September 23, 2018

The most significant happening of the upcoming week is the third and final difficult square aspect between aggressive Mars and revolutionary Uranus.
This energy invokes images of intense hurricanes, typhoons, and gas explosions. Yikes, sound familiar?
When Mars and Uranus connect, the energies are unexpected, shocking, and over-the-top. You may experience this as extreme anxiety or excitement.
Pay attention to where you are experiencing your own version of a typhoon or hopefully some less destructive sudden change. Stay awake and aware. Pay careful attention to how you respond to the shifts that occur without warning.

GOALS AND AMBITIONS
Monday, September 17, 2018:
With the Moon entering Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT, and joining with Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) at 12:25 PM EDT, this is not a day to pursue trivial issues. Monday is a day to work hard on your personal goals and ambitions.
Take your work and what you want to accomplish seriously. Your life has consequences and you have important goals to set and things to successfully complete. Monday is not a day for daydreams or lack of focus.
If you have been drifting or wasting your abilities, now is the time to get clarity on what actions are necessary to change your course. You can make a decision now. One simple step can start a new path.
The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

HECTIC INTENSIFICATION
Tuesday, September 18, 2018:
Tuesday brings us to the peak of the challenging square between Mars and Uranus. Keep your eyes open and accept what arrives; do not fight against any change you encounter, no matter how sudden or unexpected.
Mars represents aggression, action, and the power of will. Uranus represents defiance, intensification, and revolution. Look in your own chart to the houses that hold Aquarius and Taurus. Those are the areas of life that will likely require acceptance as you deal with intense anxiety or possibly excitement.
The powerful arena of news, politics, and weather is certainly ripe for this dramatic energy. Watch as these issues continue to shift and change with unusual speed and intensity.
The Moon continues through authoritative, hard-working Capricorn. This will help you to maintain maturity and a focus on reality in the midst a potentially hectic day.

WELCOME OBJECTIVITY WEDNESDAY EVENING
Wednesday, September 19, 2018:
Here mid-week, the Moon remains in Capricorn until late evening. When the Moon is in Capricorn, it is important to exercise maturity, caution, and responsibility in all your interactions. Early in the day, the Moon forms a soothing trine to the Sun and Mercury (both in efficient, analytical Virgo).
At 7:52 PM EDT, the Moon enters Aquarius and you can breathe a sigh of relief as your perspective moves toward objectivity.
Allow for wild, innovative thinking in the hours before sleep; seek insights, genius ideas, and a humanitarian perspective. Your emotions will not get in the way as you will be able to set them aside and view your life from a more detached viewpoint. You are more interested in the plight of humanity than in your own, sometimes bothersome, emotional state.

Wednesday may turn out to be the most productive day of the week. Stick with ongoing projects in the afternoon as you don’t want to start anything new with the Moon VOC after 1:10 PM EDT.
The Capricorn Moon is VOC* from 1:10 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 7:52 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LISTEN TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING
Thursday, September 20, 2018:
The Moon is in innovative, unconventional Aquarius all day on Thursday. Seek out people you don’t generally engage with. It is easy to spend our lives with people who think, look, and vote just as we do. Seek to do it differently.
Take time to deeply listen and make an effort to understand others; this will help you clarify your own values and views. Seek out people of a different race, sexuality, gender identification, age group, nationality, political affiliation (yes, even that). Listen. We are all human and we all have valid reasons for our proclivities. Widen your interest, look to a more expansive or humanitarian perspective. Love all.
Mercury joins with the Sun (9:51 PM EDT) bringing a great need to communicate. Include others in your awareness, do not get stuck in self-concern, and involved only with your own interests. Share your words with an open understanding and mind. Maintain a logical mind; seek clarity. Listen.

COOPERATION BUILDS OVER THE COMING DAYS
Friday, September 21, 2018:
The Moon remains in Aquarius on Friday offering you an objective view of your situation and the folks around you. This should be an easy day to allow your most unique expression to emerge.
You may feel a need for freedom from people or situations that in any way restrict your individuality. This will change moving forward as Mercury and the Sun move into Libra.
Enjoy where you are at now, as this is a day to spend with your most unusual friends or the folks in your social circle who stretch you intellectually. Your interests are less focused on yourself and your closest loved ones as you are more interested in what is happening collectively in the larger world. When the Moon is in Aquarius, it is easier to open your mind to new ways of viewing the world.
Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, consider what you can do, with the support of like-minded others, to help alleviate suffering in the world.
Mercury leaves perfectionistic Virgo and enters cooperative Libra at 11:39 PM EDT, and the Sun will follow the Moon into Libra on Saturday. Mercury represents our thinking and communications. We may notice that we are more interested in the coming weeks in cooperation and the creation of harmonious connections.
The Aquarius Moon is VOC* from 1:14 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 8:27 AM EDT on Saturday. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS LIBRA AT THE AUTUMNAL EQUINOX
Saturday, September 22, 2018
Saturday’s Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow, allowing you to rest in the exploration of the softer, more sensitive side of yourself. Utilize Pisces’ watery spaciousness to move you with music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual contemplations; use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.
Saturday, September 22nd marks the Autumnal Equinox (also called the September or Fall Equinox). This is the astronomical start of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Sun enters Libra at 9:54 PM EDT, the moment of the Autumnal Equinox. At the Equinox, the Sun crosses the celestial equator. In the coming days, you will notice (in the Northern Hemisphere) a strong shift as the nights get longer and the days shorter.
Remember, that as the Sun enters each Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), the seasons change.
Moving into the colder season we become more aware of the significance of partnerships, and the importance of creating cooperative, harmonious relationships. These considerations will occupy you a great deal over the coming weeks.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Pisces at 8:27 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

EFFORT – ACTION – REST
Sunday, September 23, 2018:
Mercury, now in Libra, encounters a challenging conversation with authoritative Saturn early on Sunday afternoon. There may be misunderstandings between you and a loved one. Don’t jump to conclusions; ask questions, listen and allow patience and understanding to grow. It may take time and effort but will be well worth it.
By evening, as a trine forms between Mercury and Mars, you are able to communicate effectively and take action on your new understanding. This is a day to embark on a planned action to resolve communication issues in your most significant relationships. You can move your partnership or friendship in a more positive direction with sincere willingness and effort.
The Moon continues through Pisces, a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, and deeply emotional energies. Sunday will be a good day for meditation, spending time on water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, or making music. Enjoy rest and sweetness along with the relationship and communication work of this day.
