Throughout the course of last week the Moon moved through the most personal signs of Aries, Taurus, and Gemini. At the core of last week’s process was the insistence of our individual needs.
This week we are still focused inward, but the inclusion of others become more important to our progress.
The Moon starts the week in Cancer and emotionally we reach out to nurture others and to explore our own ability to accept healing and nurturing from others.
Following her stay in Cancer the Moon travels through Leo and Virgo before the week’s end. Anticipate a busy week!
On Friday (Valentine’s Day) we have a Full Moon in Leo and a beautiful Trine Aspect forming between the Sun in Aquarius and Mars in Libra! What a great day to celebrate Love.
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are the days to focus on accomplishment. Perhaps something becomes clear at the Full Moon that sets you on the path to complete some long set-aside project (remembering that Mercury is retrograde, and now back in Aquarius).
Get to work. You are being called back to complete something left undone.

Please anticipate spending as much time as possible on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday in focused accomplishment mode. There is much to be done before Mercury moves forward on February 28th. At that point we will need to move forward with new ideas and projects!

Monday, February 10, 2014:

We wake up Monday morning with the Moon in Cancer. This begins the week with high sensitivity; you may feel emotional vulnerable or just Crabby!
If you want to make the day more workable for everyone, show kindness to others with food! The connection between nurturing, food, and healing is indisputable.

When the Moon is in Cancer we are more susceptible to nostalgia. Make contact with the past. Call your mother, grandmother or sister; allow yourself to indulge in that chocolate cake.

Late evening as you wind down your day, you can anticipate a certain amount of agitation and/or anxiety. Once again. This evening/tomorrow morning the Cancer Moon is engaging with the transformative Square between Uranus and Pluto. Don’t be surprised if your dreams reflect this intensity.

Tuesday, February 11, 2014:

The Moon remains in Cancer throughout Tuesday. Your moodiness may be obvious for all to see. Rest assured they are seeing the reflection of their own sensitivity.
This afternoon the Sun squares Saturn. You are likely to feel that you need to push against some resistance within yourself or your environment. This may feel very frustrating. Get away to a quiet place, even for a moment. Consider quietly, on your own what needs to be done for the highest good of everyone involved. Look back in your journals, or calendars, and think about where you were, what you were thinking, and what you were planning on November 6, 2013 (give or take a few days). At that time the Sun conjunct Saturn. You may have let go of a struggle or something difficult in your life. You likely began a new discipline, a new study, or a new serious approach to something significant in your life. How has your self-confidence grown since that time?
On Tuesday we reach the First Quarter (Square) Aspect between The Sun and Saturn bringing us to the time of the Cycle that demands we take action on whatever it was that began on/about November 6. Consider the steps that need to be taken; take those steps within the next 48 hours (not during the VOC* Moon). The results of your actions now will be fully revealed during the week of May 10, 2014.

Wednesday, February 12, 2014:

There is nothing to push yourself into this morning. Low expectations; if your circumstances allow it, this is a morning to rest and pamper yourself! The Moon will remain in Cancer, VOC* until 2:15 PM EST when she enters the expressive, playful realm of Leo. You may be quite energized by evening and enjoy spending time with friends.
Before bedtime, Mercury (moving Retrograde), backs into Aquarius. Re-read, re-study, re-work, and re-view some of the more unusual projects you have been procrastinating getting re-engaged with. Mercury will remain in Aquarius between now and March 17 when he/she will reenter Pisces.

Thursday, February 13, 2014:

Thursday is the simplest day of this week. No big complications or struggles amongst the planets. The Moon is in Leo all day encouraging expression and enthusiasm.
The only Aspect of Significance on Thursday is a smooth, free-flowing Trine between The Moon and Uranus. Is there something that you have been wanting to express but have held yourself back? Have you felt too restricted, too shy, or too afraid to put yourself out there dramatically? Today you can tap into the energy that will allow you to open that door to full exuberant expression!
Sign up for a class, make a commitment, or just get out there and get on that stage! Remember your stage may not look at all like what others imagine. We each have our own personal stage and our own personal stage fright. Today you take a huge step in releasing the power that fear has over you! Find ways to express the most unexpected and unusual part of your personality! Enjoy.

Friday, February 14, 2013:

Today is Valentine’s Day! Apparently the holiday is similarly celebrated in many countries worldwide! As it turns out, Valentines day falls on an astrologically lovely day this year. Today we celebrate affection and love! Regardless of whether you are in the relationship of your dreams, single, or in a relationship you are struggling to escape from; set all your judgements aside and celebrate the concept of partnership, love, and deep loving connections of all kinds.
The Leo Full Moon is exact at 6:53 PM EST.

The current Lunar Cycle began on Thursday, January 30th with the New Moon in Aquarius. Friday’s Full Moon brings the Cycle to it’s culmination as the creative energy of the Cycle is released. Now we can see the full expression of whatever began at the New Moon. The Leo Full Moon is full of heat and dramatic expression!
The Sun in Aquarius is also making a flowing Trine Aspect to Mars in Libra this evening. This will give a boost to all physical expressions of love and passion! Enjoy! If you are not in relationship do not neglect the self-expression of love and pleasure!
Another Cycle to consider today is this Cycle between the Sun and Mars. The current Cycle between them began in April 2013. Did you begin a relationship at that time? start a new business? begin a new sport or exercise routine? What was it that you began in mid April 2013? I would expect that it was an activity that took a lot of drive and exertion to begin. At this point its success may seem clear. Push in the direction of the outcome you are seeking; full clarity will come in another 2 months.

Saturday, February 15, 2014:

By the time you wake up on Saturday morning the Moon will be in Virgo. Saturday takes on a far more practical tone. Your mind may be very active in the mid afternoon as the Sun conjunct Mercury in Aquarius. Don’t be surprised at the ideas and thoughts racing through your mind or the opinions you’re hearing on the News or amongst your family members at your dinner table!
Your thoughts may seem unusually busy, somewhat detached from emotion, and highly original. Keep in mind that Mercury is Retrograde. Work on the most unusual and eccentric project that has been sitting, waiting for your attention. This weekend is the time when the details of that project (the one long ago begun) will be ready to be manipulated and worked with in a very effective and efficient manner. Think how good it will feel to cross this project off your list!

Sunday, February 16, 2014:

Sunday will, in many ways, be a repeat of Saturday! Stay focused on that project; you will remain in a great space to push forward.
Mercury Trine Mars, early on Sunday, encouraging us to actively work with our words and communications. Keeping in mind that Mercury is Retrograde, say only what you are clear about. Be prepared to explain. Make sure your communications embody kindness in expression and intention.
Yes, Mercury is retrograde. Be sure whatever you are working on has a history of being left by the wayside. Now is the time to push it forward. The moon is in Virgo throughout the day. You are able to see the potential and are able to embrace each detail that will bring it to completion.

Next week we can get out of our own way a bit as we begin to focus on our outward socialization processes. We begin to look at how we are impacted by others, by their ways of seeing the world and by the things that they can teach us!

* In my weekly reports I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to it’s VOC time, as that aspect holds it’s influence throughout the VOC*
The Aspects I consider: Conjunctions, Sextiles, Squares, Trines, and Oppositions
The Planets I am working with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.
*VOC (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment; times ideally suited for rest and contemplation.
