DESTRUCTION LEADS TO TRANSFORMATION

Monday, July 10, 2017:

Don’t expect that the power of Sunday’s Full Moon will have been released by Monday morning as the intensity around us only increases.

Early in the day at 12:35 AM EDT, the Sun lines up for an opposition with Pluto, representing the destruction required for major transformation. Sleep may well have been difficult last night due to the pressures of worry, regret, or fear. Examine and face the truths that your fears rest upon in order to release the hold they have on you.

With the Moon’s entrance into Aquarius (1:35 AM EDT), you are able to detach yourself emotionally from fear as you gain a new and more interesting perspective on the future.

As the day progresses, the quirky Aquarius Moon forms a lovely trine aspect to social Venus (2:03 PM EDT), enabling you to seek a path forward with like-minded friends and acquaintances.

At 6:38 PM EDT, as the Moon opposes communicative Mercury, you are asked to bring your serious thoughts and ideas to the table. The world needs each of us to speak out with our collective voice of truth.

BREAKING FREE OF RESTRICTION

Tuesday, July 11, 2017:

Whatever possible crises you felt enmeshed in since the Full Moon, they reach a release point on Tuesday. This will be felt as relief and an intellectual clarity related to the path ahead.

With the Moon in Aquarius, the way forward may involve the necessity to break free of any situation or relationship that feels boring or restrictive to your individuality. You may be tempted to take action, to say or do something that is surprising, even shocking to others and may have unexpected consequences. The Aquarius Moon is a good time to shake up the status quo and push yourself and others to find a new “out of the box” perspective.

Gather with others to share unusual ideas, plans, and unexpected perspectives for how to proceed into the future with the needs of the greater human family in mind.  Aquarius is an Air sign and with the Moon in this cool, detached sign you will be more involved in the analysis and exploration of emotional circumstances than in the feeling of them.

Enjoy the cool sense of experiencing life objectively.

FAIRYTALES AND POETRY

Wednesday, July 12, 2017:

Grădină cu floarea soarelui by Gustav Klimt via Wiki Commons

When Wednesday begins, we find ourselves in a state of cool, intellectual detachment along with a dose of inspiration as we look toward the originality of our expression. The inventive Aquarius Moon is heightened in her innovative expression with a sextile aspect to quirky Uranus at 8:41 AM EDT. Don’t expect this sharp, unconventional view to last!

When the Moon enters fanciful Pisces at 11:51 AM EDT, sensitivity returns with a depth that may surprise you. While the Moon moves through elusive, sensitive Pisces, you can anticipate feeling deeply. You may experience a sense of vulnerability as boundaries dissolve between yourself and others. Watch your tendencies toward passive susceptibility.

Don’t allow alcohol, drugs, or other unhealthy vices to carry you away. If you are having a difficult time keeping your feet on the ground, take time for meditation or allow yourself to indulge in whimsical imagination. Write a poem or a fairytale1

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:41 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 11:51 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DREAM, DANCE, & MEDITATE

Thursday, July 13, 2017:

The theme of sensitivity and mystical inspiration from Wednesday continues throughout the day on Thursday as the Moon dances her way through elusive, spacey Pisces.

As that gentle Pisces Moon joins forces with sometimes bewildering Neptune (at 2:27 PM EDT), it may be challenging to find clarity within your current circumstances. Do not try to lean heavily on logic or analytical thinking; this is a day to work with the right side of your brain, the side that has confidence in intuition and creativity.

Rest and allow yourself to dream, transcend the mundane, make art, dance, and meditate.

A FRIDAY NIGHT FOR DANCING

Friday, July 14, 2017:

Friday may begin with a touch of crankiness, thanks to the Pisces Moon forming a square aspect to Saturn at 6:08 AM EDT. Allow any irritability to pass. Nothing whatsoever will come of it as long as you keep quiet, do not engage it, and let it go.

Remember, Moon transits pass quickly!

The afternoon is energized when the soft Pisces Moon forms a flowing trine to assertive Mars at 1:01 PM EDT.

The most significant and potent transit of the day comes with an opportunistic sextile from mental Mercury to expansive Jupiter at 4:45 PM EDT. Your thoughts become more optimistic and you’re able to express your beliefs in a way that is likely to be well received. With lavish Jupiter in relationship-oriented Libra and brainy Mercury in playful Leo, your communications will exude enthusiasm, gaiety, playfulness, and fun in your intimate relationships. This will last throughout the evening hours.

Regardless of how you feel earlier on Friday, plan to go dancing on Friday night! When the time comes. you will be glad you made the plans!

At 7:53 PM EDT, the Moon enters vigorous, forceful Aries and wakes you up to the need to move your physical body with a bit of vigor and drive. Get out for a bike ride, a run, a brisk walk, or go dancing!

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:01 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 7:53 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ACTION AND PLEASURE

Saturday, July 15, 2017:

Saturday should be a good day for independent action. Go out into the world on your own, do something that takes a bit of extra courage and determination. The Moon is on her own and moving through Aries for the bulk of the day.

When the evening comes, there also arrives a renewed desire for connection. At 5:41 PM EDT, the assertive Aries Moon forms an exciting sextile aspect to relationship-oriented Venus. This suggests a lovely evening, you will enjoy the opportunity to express appreciation and gratitude to those you love.

If you stay up late, things only get better as the Moon opposes Jupiter at 11:04 PM EDT. You may find yourself in a position of wanting to impress someone. You will want to show yourself as your most generous, optimistic, confident self.

Don’t go overboard but do enjoy a lovely Saturday night.

FIERCELY DYNAMIC

Sunday, July 16, 2017:

Sunday’s fierce and dynamic Aries Moon forms difficult and challenging aspects throughout the entire day. You may encounter issues of anger, power dynamics, and internal upheaval. It would be a good idea to keep a low profile; use any excess physical energy in a solitary endeavor but please keep safety in mind.

The Third Quarter Moon is exact at 3:26 PM EDT as the aggressive Aries Moon forms an uncomfortable square to the nurturing, protective Cancer Sun. You may feel overly controlled by family situations and responsibilities. Again, roll with the punches, keep your head down, and offer kindness when you are able to and when it is appropriate.

Monday will bring a sense of calm with the dependable solid Taurus Moon. We will be glad for it!

The Aries Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 10:19 PM EDT until she enters Taurus in the early hours of Monday. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transits between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

INNOVATION & BRIGHT IDEAS

Monday, June 12, 2017:

Monday’s determined Capricorn Moon is a great source of support as you head into the week fully engaged and focused on effort and accomplishment. However, as the day goes on, your ability to maintain that focus may be impacted by last-minute changes in direction.

At 2:46 PM EDT, when the Moon squares Uranus, the planet of upheaval, the entire direction of your work may shift. Do your best not to let this derail you. This is only a Moon transit; please remember that this will pass quickly. Take an extended coffee break and allow innovative ideas to come into your awareness in order to get back to work with renewed excitement and energy.

At 7:45 PM EDT, the Moon enters unpredictable Aquarius, encouraging you to continue developing the surprising innovations that nudged at you earlier in the day. The conventional methods you initially were working with can now shift and allow new ways of viewing the project at hand.

Happy Birthday to Ann Frank, Aaron Farrington, Emily Walter, Chick Corea, and John Steinbeck!

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:46 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 7:45 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

A MESSAGE OF HOPE

Tuesday, June 13, 2017:

Tuesday brings a day full of mental activity, a busy day of thinking and articulating what is on your mind.

Mercury is considered to be the Winged Messenger of the Gods, and is seen as carrying messages between the planets. He moves quickly, activating all forms of communication, intellect, reasoning, and awareness; all of these are within the realm of Mercury’s domain. Pay attention to the nature of your thought processes and the content of your mind.

At 11:44 AM EDT, Mercury forms a flowing trine aspect to philosophical Jupiter, bringing optimism and enthusiasm to your thinking. Then, shortly before bedtime (at 11:29 PM EDT), Mercury forms a challenging square aspect to elusive, dreamy Neptune. What message of optimism is Mercury bringing to your deepest dreams or your spiritual path?

I think Mercury is offering a message of hope to areas of confusion within your soul. Allow yourself to hear the messages that come from your dreams. Meditate and listen in silence to the persistence voice that calls you to the deepest understanding of Universal Love.

With the Moon in innovative Aquarius, your open heart perceives a progressive humanitarian view of your world.

Happy Birthday to William Yeats, Paul Lynde, and Tim Allen!

EXPRESS YOUR MOST UNIQUE SELF

Wednesday, June 14, 2017:

Blossoming Almond Branch in a Glass by Vincent van Gogh

With the Moon in progressive Aquarius, forming a flowing trine to the Gemini Sun, you will want to express yourself in a highly individualistic manner on Wednesday.

You will be more interested in new experiences that are outside the arena of what has become familiar. If there are areas of your life where you have felt stuck and have been unable to move forward, this is a good time to say what needs to be said in order to facilitate the initial step forward. Listen as others speak, you will hear the originality beneath the ordinary.

Open your mind and allow your most exciting thoughts to gain momentum. At 7:49 PM EDT, when the Moon forms a sweet sextile aspect to Saturn, your wild thoughts and conversations are stabilized. Consider what lasting value is being created as you courageously express your most unusual ideas, your most unique self, or your beliefs regarding individual freedom.

Happy Birthday to Gilda Seelke, Vivian Van Natta, and Burl Ives!

FOCUS AND ATTENTION

Thursday, June 15, 2017:

Don’t be surprised if no one at your breakfast table seems particularly chipper on Thursday morning. At 6:17 AM EDT, the normally upbeat Gemini Sun opposes restrictive Saturn; immediately on the heels of that challenging aspect, the Moon slipped quietly into Pisces.

It will take focus and attention to use these energies productively, it would be all too easy to fall into self-pity or victim type behaviors. Don’t go there!

The Pisces Moon would rather avoid reality in any number of ways while Saturn opposing the Sun (this transit will last throughout the day and into Friday) demands that we face reality and make a solid effort to take responsibility for the rough places we still find ourselves.

Meditation will help but deep levels of compassion for yourself and others will be your best means for managing this day.

Happy Birthday to James Belushi, Newt Gingrich, and Waylon Jennings!

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 1:40 AM EDT until she enters Pisces at 6:18 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DRIFTY, DREAMY DAY

Friday, June 16, 2017:

You may be up and seemingly functioning on Friday morning without being fully aware that you are not still dreaming!

As Neptune stations retrograde at 7:10 AM EDT and is closely followed by the Pisces Moon joining her at 14° Pisces, things are not as they seem. It is possible that you will feel particularly vulnerable and emotional, or perhaps you feel suspicious or confused.

The outer planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) are retrograde for long periods of time and are not challenging the way the inner planets (Mercury, Venus, and Mars) are during their retrogrades. The reversal of this passive, sensitive energy may take a few days to adjust to.

You may need to take a closer or more prolonged look at some of your more unrealistic plans and dreams.

You will definitely want to take a new look at what needs adjusting in your meditation practice.

The Moon remains in imaginative, mystical Pisces (ruled by Neptune) throughout the day. Have a restful evening in preparation for the weekend when you will have must more energy to work with.

DREAMINESS REPLACED BY IMPULSIVE ACTION

Saturday, June 17, 2017:

Saturday begins slowly; with the Third Quarter Moon in elusive Pisces. It may be hard to shake your dreams or move beyond a profound level of sensitivity. Under this influence, it is best to refrain from expectations of yourself or others.

At 1:55 PM EDT, impulsiveness or excitability will change your mental picture, as the Moon enters dynamic, impatient Aries. This will be a good afternoon for outdoor physical activities. Hiking, skydiving, or biking come to mind. Use your body to keep this powerful energy from getting stuck in anger or aggression. You may feel strongly motivated to start something new; the Aries Moon also providing the courage to step forward and take on whatever challenge you put your mind to.

Don’t plan for a quiet night at home with food and loved ones. You will do better to join your less sedate friends in a loud bar for a few beers!

Happy Birthday to M.C. Escher, Kelly Hurd, Barry Manilow, and Dean Martin!

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 7:33 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 1:55 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

EMBRACE PARADOX

Sunday, June 18, 2017:

Sunday is likely to be a complex day. The fiercely impatient side of the Aries Moon will be on display as the she forms challenging aspects to Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto pushing us to deal with challenges we may rather avoid. Pay attention and don’t let yourself be swept into passionate anger. Go for a walk to cool off if you feel that type of distress arising.

Conflicting messages are suggested by two major aspects perfecting on Sunday afternoon. At 2:47 PM EDT, the Gemini Sun forms a delightful sextile to Uranus which offers an opportunity of excitement, individuality, and freedom.

The conflicting message comes in when Mercury opposes Saturn at 3:07 PM EDT, this will likely feels much like a limitation being put on your thoughts and ideas.

Push and pull. Freedom vs. restriction.

Don’t allow yourself to fret in frustration. Allow both sides to exist side by side. A major key to living this life with joy is to allow and embrace paradox!

Happy Birthday to Paul McCartney, Sylvia Porter, Aaron Hirka, Kecia Gaboriault, and Beth Hopwood!

STABILITY & DREAMS

Monday, April 17, 2017:

Monday morning should find you feeling strong and capable as you begin the week. The powerful Aries Sun is invigorated and stabilized by a flowing trine aspect to steadfast Saturn at 8:43 AM EDT. Get up, get out, and start the day with a smile on your face and a kind word for those you meet!

In early December, a cycle began of creating something solid to support personal growth and stability. What began in your life at that time? In mid-March, you likely made an effort to support the ongoing growth of that cycle. Now, you should be able to see the full expression ahead. This expression is not here yet but you can clearly see whether the best decisions were made on this path.

Now is the time to make any necessary adjustments to prepare for the full revelation of the cycle which will be expressed or exposed in mid-June.

The Moon is in Capricorn throughout the day, quietly supporting your serious endeavors.

At 9:55 PM EDT, with a sextile to Neptune, the emotional Moon takes on a softer side. Settle in with music, poetry, or a movie that will engage your compassionate or inspirational nature. Sleep early and enjoy your dreams.

EFFORT & SELF-DISCIPLINE

Tuesday, April 18, 2017:

The Moon continues through responsible Capricorn on Tuesday. Try not to lose touch with Monday’s gift of stability and determination. Tuesday is a trickier day to manage. The Moon engages directly with power struggles & coercion (Pluto), anxiety (Uranus), and potentially, an overblown ego (Jupiter). Do not neglect your meditation on Tuesday!

Before you get nervous about this, please remember that these are Moon transits that pass quickly and will cause no difficulty unless you engage with them through fear or defensiveness. Allow any interpersonal difficulties or challenges to roll off your back. Don’t take the bait and don’t offer it either!

The Moon connects with Jupiter early in the morning, and with mighty Pluto at 9:59 AM EDT. The Moon also forms a challenging square aspect to Uranus at 8:32 PM EDT.

Mid-morning and late evening will likely be sensitive times. Do not allow yourself to be sucked into difficulties, and be sure you are not pulling others into hard situations as well.

This is a day to keep your nose to the grindstone, move a serious agenda forward, and offer kindness to others. They will be grateful and you will benefit. Utilize this as a serious day of effort and self-discipline.

TIME OF BLOSSOMING

Wednesday, April 19, 2017:

Vibrance of Calm by Nyna Greben via Wiki Commons

Wednesday is a very busy day. Before you are even out of bed, we have reached the Third Quarter Moon which encourages you to release what is no longer working in your life. Bring some items to Goodwill; clean out your closet, let go of something you thought was important that you see no longer serves you.

At 6:52 AM EDT, the Moon enters altruistic Aquarius encouraging you to open your mind to a new perspective as you move into the new season at hand.

Here in northern Vermont, Spring has finally landed with certainty. There is growth and blossoming everywhere! The life force of the Sun enters Taurus, the fixed sign of stabilization at 5:27 PM EDT!

Now, it is time to get that garden planted! Enjoy and observe with reverence the full expression of this season of increase! Over the coming month, there will be much to celebrate with the flowers blooming, the sound of peepers, and the baby lambs in the fields. Allow yourself to feel the opening of your heart into this season of growth.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:57 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 6:52 AM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

COURAGE & MISTAKES

Thursday, April 20, 2017:

In the earliest hours of Thursday morning, while you still slept, Mercury’s retrograde motion brings him back into contact with the steadfast Taurus Sun. This will assist in your adjustment between seasons and will help you to maintain practicality.

However, common sense may falter as Mercury proceeds backward into hot-blooded Aries at 1:37 PM EDT. You are likely to notice your thinking becoming decisive and forceful.

You are now able to locate the courage you need to take action on something you have struggled with over the past few weeks. What is it you need to say that has been difficult? Mercury will remain in Aries (until turning direct on May 3rd).

Pay attention to the difference between assertiveness and aggression, certainty and assault. Say what must be sad with kindness and compassion.

It often takes deep courage to admit to your mistakes and it is likely that is a necessary part of the conversation you must have. We all make mistakes, take responsibility and move forward with determination and love.

DEEP LONGING

Friday, April 21, 2017:

Friday is not a simple day! First, you will feel the shift as Mars, the planet of direct initiative and dynamic action, leaves Taurus where he has been for the past six weeks. Mars is thrilled to leave behind the slow, earthy energy of Taurus to enter Gemini where he has more freedom to engage in curiosity and enthusiastic action.

Mars will remain in Gemini until June 4, 2017.

The real challenge of Friday comes when exquisite Venus forms a challenging square aspect to reliable Saturn at 7:08 AM EDT. This energy will remain with you throughout the day and suggests a time of questioning your values, intimate relationships, beauty, and your financial stability.

Think back to the beginning of this cycle in late October 2016. Were you beginning a new intimacy or a new relationship with your finances at that time? Contemplate what effort you need to take now that will let yourself, others, and the Universe know how serious you are in the development of your deepest longings.

This transit often leaves us feeling a bit melancholy and sad. Allow yourself to rest and understand that going inward is part of what is necessary.

At 3:43 PM EDT, the Moon enters Pisces bringing you to a sensitive, dreamy Friday evening. If you attempt to go to a party or other social event, you may have a disappointing evening. Stay home, spend time alone or with intimate loved ones. Rest.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:23 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 3:43 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DREAMY  AND IMPRESSIONABLE

Saturday, April 22, 2017:

Saturday brings us to a very simple day. If you can avoid having expectations of yourself and others, this can be a lovely day.

The impressionable, dreamy Pisces Moon lazily drifts through the day. The only aspect throughout the day is when the Moon connects with mystical Neptune at 3:57 PM EDT.

You may choose to fall asleep on the couch and wonder where the day went when you awaken hours later; you may want nothing more than to dream or create inspired works of art. Deepen your meditation practice or simply release your solid hold on reality and allow yourself to dream.

Be cautious with alcohol or other substances as you may be more sensitive to them than normal. Enjoy this time of sensitivity and rest.

CONTINUED SENSITIVITY

Sunday, April 23, 2017:

Sunday continues with much the same illusive sensitivity as Saturday. If you were able to rest on Saturday, make contact with others in a gentle compassionate manner today. Again, do not have high expectations; simply rest in the company of friends or loved ones.

If you were not able to rest on Saturday, focus on self-care, rest, and sensitive inspiration.

At 8:33 PM EDT, the Moon leaves placid Pisces behind and enters courageous Aries with dynamic determination. After such a quiet weekend, it may be hard to sleep as the impulsive, and sometimes combative, Aries Moon wakes you from your slumber.

You will feel ready to head into a new week with gusto when Monday morning comes.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 5:35 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 8:33 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SPRING EQUINOX – SUN ENTERS ARIES

Monday, March 20, 2017:

The week begins with the Sun entering Aries at 6:28 AM EDT. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, this is the Spring Equinox! It is bringing with it longer days, a vision for the future, new ideas, and new plans.

The Spring Equinox alerts us to a time of new beginning with plenty of reason to celebrate! This is a moment of balance and equanimity as the earth’s axis is pointing neither away from nor toward the Sun.

The shift may not initially feel as energizing as you may expect. With the expansive Sagittarius Moon joining with overly serious Saturn at 6:38 AM EDT, followed by her movement into Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT, there is seriousness and a conservative edge to the day.

At 11:59 AM EDT, the Capricorn Moon forms a challenging aspect to the Sun, newly in Aries. Consider that Capricorn is the sign of maturity, authority, and caution while Aries is the sign of youthfulness, impatience, and excitability. When these two signs challenge each other, something has to give.

This is the Third Quarter Square phase of the Moon; it is a time of release. What has been building since the New Moon on March 27? Take it easy today. Let go and prepare for warmer days. Spring will soon begin in earnest.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 6:38 AM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 11:31 AM EDT.

Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

INSPIRATION SERVES PRACTICALITY

Tuesday, March 21, 2017:

Tuesday, as the emotional Moon continues through responsible Capricorn, you are reminded that even with Spring in the air you have plenty of work to do.

At 12:17 PM EDT, even your serious nature welcomes your imagination and ability to dream. With a positive sextile aspect between the Moon and Neptune, your dreams can produce real world and practical results.

At 6:20 PM EDT, when the Moon forms a challenging square to Mercury. You are serious about the ideas that have grasped your attention.

All in all, this is a simple day of hard work with a lovely bit of inspiration. Utilize that inspiration; it will serve practical reality.

PRACTICE FLEXIBILITY

Wednesday, March 22, 2017:

Wednesday may start out a bit messy. The Aries Sun is ready to shine a little brighter without the restrictions of the Capricorn Moon. However, as the day begins, the serious Capricorn Moon forms a challenging square aspect to unsettling Uranus.

The Capricorn Moon seeks structure and demands responsibility, and yet, Uranus throws a monkey wrench into that idea as he seeks innovation and even revolution. This combination can create aggravation and upheaval throughout the morning. Work on your ability to be flexible; it may not come easily but will be well worth the effort.

The rest of the day with the Moon VOC* may just feel a little off kilter. Don’t attach yourself too much to accomplishments or forced engagements. At 10:29 PM EDT, the Moon will enter progressive Aquarius bringing a much greater sense of freedom and lightness to Thursday morning.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 9:20 AM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 10:29 PM EDT. Remember, when the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

DEEPEN YOUR THINKING

Thursday, March 23, 2017:

Thursday begins with a lovely sextile between the quirky Aquarius Moon and beautiful Venus. Enjoy the morning.

Some agitation may occur when the Moon squares aggressive Mars at 5:20 PM EDT. Use your body to release this tension, go for a walk, chop some wood, or engage your body with physical effort.

As the evening approaches, you will feel expressive Mercury beginning to form a challenging square aspect to powerful Pluto, which will be exact at 8:44 PM EDT. Be aware of verbal power dynamics. Continue to make a concerted effort toward internal and external flexibility. Watch your responses to communications that come your way. Take three slow breaths before responding.

Don’t take what is said personally and watch the words that come out of your mouth as well. It is easy to say things that will be taken in a way that you many not intend. Be aware of your words, emails, and all communications.

This would be an excellent evening for deep study or to work on a powerful speech or other significant writing project.

WHAT WILL BE REVEALED?

Friday, March 24, 2017:

If you were engaged in a significant conversation, an important study, or a writing project on Thursday, Friday will be the day to expand upon and illuminate those conversations and ideas. At 8:45AM EDT, Mercury opposes Jupiter expanding your creative intelligence, your faith and belief in your ideas.

With the Moon in objective, progressive Aquarius forming delightful aspects to expansive Jupiter, thoughtful Mercury, and quirky Uranus, you can expect this to be a highly innovative day for humanitarian efforts, expansive ideas, and bringing your voice to a public arena. ARTISTS AND LOVERS

Saturday March 25, 2017:

Saturday offers a day to engage in actively seeking love and passively accepting love. Both sides are offered. At 6:07 AM EDT, the Moon enters compassionate, dreamy Pisces enabling us to swim within deeply emotional waters. At 6:17 AM EDT, the Sun and Venus come together in the highly assertive and active sign of Aries. Emotionally, you may get lost in sensitivity and imagination while simultaneously you know you must take action to directly go after what you truly desire. Make direct contact with love or expressions of beauty.

Once you have made direct contact with the object of your desire, allow yourself to passively engage in deep compassion or dreamy mystical states.

Bring your attention to love and beauty. This is a day made for artists and lovers.

EXCITEMENT

Sunday, March 26, 2017:

Sunday continues with some of the dreamy sensitivity from Saturday courtesy of the surreal Pisces Moon.

But, you probably won’t be thinking too much about all of that as there is intense excitement in the air that will require all of your attention! At 11:05 AM EDT, Mercury conjoins with Uranus beginning a one year cycle of mental stimulation. Pay attention to unusual, new, or exciting ideas that come to mind. Perhaps you will hear or read something that surprises, excites, or even shocks you. Unexpected information may be revealed that will begin a new process in your life.

If you experience any sort of sluggishness or depression on Sunday, stop and consider what is it that needs to be said that you are avoiding. Something wants to be revealed. Go ahead, say it! Yes, it may very well set you on a new path, but it is a path that must be taken.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: December 19, 2016 through December 25, 2016

You can anticipate a busy week ahead. Of course, you don’t need astrology to tell you that! If you celebrate any of the holidays surrounding this winter season, you will likely have a very long to-do list that you are working hard to manage.

Monday brings us to the beginning of another three-week Mercury retrograde. Get to work right away making a list of everything that has been left undone over the past few months. Over the next three weeks, you can get a lot accomplished if you stick to working from that list!

Mars changes sign on Monday moving from unique, eccentric Aquarius into mystical, sensitive Pisces. Remember, that Mars represents your ability to take action. Mars is not delighted to be in Pisces, although artists, poets, and mystics can move forward delightfully at this time.

On Wednesday, we come to the Winter Solstice, when the Sun leaves the fun of Sagittarius behind to enter the serious, cautious ground of Capricorn.

The Winter Solstice, which occurs when the Earth’s axial tilt is farthest away from the sun, lasts only an instant in time (December 21, 2016 at 5:44 AM EST), and occurs on the shortest day and longest night of the year. The Sun’s daily maximum position in the sky is at the lowest point in the year at this time as well. The seasonal significance of the Winter Solstice is in the reversal of the gradual lengthening of nights and shortening of days. The light will return.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!

When Mercury turns retrograde, everywhere I turn someone will ask (with trepidation and a touch of fear in their eyes) is Mercury turning retrograde AGAIN??

There is so much unnecessary fear and misinformation around Mercury’s retrograde cycles.

I am going to keep these instructions very simple!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!

I know that it is easier said than done, but please forget all the terrible things you have heard about Mercury retrograde! There are no astrological conditions that we need to block from ourselves in fear! We simply need to pay attention to the best use of certain times and Mercury retrograde is one of them.

I honestly LOVE Mercury’s retrograde cycle! I feel like I can finally catch up with all the things that have been left undone since the last retrograde cycle!

After years of watching and working with Mercury’s retrograde cycles, I have come to love these brief periods scattered throughout the year. I feel that they are a gift. We simply must know how to use them!

  1. Get a notebook and a pen – Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.

Start with a clean sheet of paper, quiet your mind, and think back over the past few months. On September 22, 2016, Mercury turned direct at 14° Virgo. Since then, he has zipped along through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, and into Capricorn at 15° where he is now turning retrograde.

Think about what you have been doing since late September. Look through your calendar, your notebooks, your bills, wherever you will find reminders of everything that you have been thinking about and working on since then. Now, carefully make a list of all the things that you have begun but not completed. Dig deep; there are probably more things than you are aware of.

What about that appointment you have been meaning to make? The project that you tucked into a drawer because you couldn’t find the time to complete it? Moreover, we all have communications that have fallen through the cracks, unanswered emails, texts, and phone calls!

  1. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!

Once you have the list made up, it is easy to follow the perfect plan for approximately the next three weeks (Mercury turns direct once again on January 8, 2017).

Get to work, accomplish the things on this list; nothing more, nothing less. That is the whole trick of dealing with Mercury retrograde. Stick with this list!

Our lives are so busy; we zip from one project to another, from one communication to another. We never seem to have the time to slow down and carefully complete the tasks that we have begun.

Mercury retrograde brings us a gift of time to wrap up all those loose ends!

  1. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

This is the time for clean up only. Don’t move forward until Mercury turns direct.

If you follow these simple steps, you will be amazed at how much you can accomplish during these periods!

Good Luck and Get to Work!

WORKING WITH MERCURY RETROGRADE

Monday, December 19, 2016:

In the wee hours of Monday morning, Mars, the planet that represents assertive action, enters Pisces, the most passive of the signs. Mars will remain in Pisces until January 27th.  During this time, your usual self-confidence and ability to take action may feel that it has been turned upside down. Rather than courageously pushing forward, you may find yourself slowing down, stepping back and attempting to ‘feel’ your way forward. Pay attention to your dreams and intuitions.

At 5:55 AM EST, Mercury stations retrograde at 15° Capricorn; between the softening of your assertiveness (Mars in Pisces) and the somewhat skewed logical thinking of Mercury retrograde, you may feel a bit lost as you adapt to this new territory. Mercury will remain retrograde until January 8th.

The Moon in Virgo supports practical considerations and encourages you to improve your circumstances by reaching for your potential.

4 Simple Steps to Managing Mercury Retrograde!

  1. Don’t be afraid, worried, or concerned!
  2. Get a notebook and a pen. Make a list of everything that you have begun but NOT completed in the past few months.
  3. Get to work! Accomplish what is on this list! Only what is on this list!
  4. Don’t be tempted to start new projects, begin new commitments, new relationships, or new jobs!

Mercury retrograde brings us the gift of time to wrap up loose ends!

PARADOX AND COMPLEXITY

Tuesday, December 20, 2016:

On Tuesday, you will continue adjusting to the more passive nature of Mars in Pisces and the more inward mental work of Mercury retrograde. Both of these require considerable adjustment. Take time to absorb and understand the change and the challenge. Slow down your actions and your thinking.

At 8:56 PM EST, the Virgo Moon squares the Sagittarius Sun (Third Quarter Square) suggesting that your internal and external realities seem to be working against each other. On one hand, you may be feeling free and idealistic, and yet, somewhat critical and nitpicky. It is important that you allow contradictions and paradox to exist side-by-side without trying to change either side of the equation.

At 9:39 PM EST, the Moon enters Libra, settling your expectations as you seek equanimity, calm, and a diplomatic sense of your connection to others.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 8:56 PM EST until she enters Libra at 9:39 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS CAPRICORN – SERIOUSNESS & INTEGRITY

Wednesday, December 21, 2016:

The Sun’s movement into Capricorn heralds the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the Summer Solstice in the Southern Hemisphere.

Here in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice marks the longest night and shortest day of the year. We encounter late dawn and early sunsets. Meanwhile, the Southern Hemisphere has its longest day and shortest night.

Over the coming weeks, you will see the days get longer; celebrate the return of the light.

As the Sun moves into Capricorn, we enter the most serious time of the year. This is the time to focus on developing maturity and taking seriously our responsibilities and commitments. Capricorn insists that we seek accomplishment; it is important to spend time in solitude to explore and understand how closely you have aligned your life with your highest beliefs and integrity.

The upcoming month is not a time for frivolous activities; focus on accomplishment in order to create your most stable, satisfying future.

WATCH FOR OVEREXTENDING YOURSELF

Thursday, December 22, 2016:

If you have shopping still to do for your holiday celebration, be practical in your spending. With Jupiter joining with the Libra Moon at 1:30 PM EST, you could easily spend more than you intend. The possibility of over extension could show up in your emotional expenditures as well. Watch for over extension in all areas.

This will be a great day for spending time with family or loved ones. Before the Moon goes VOC*, she forms an opposition to Uranus allowing us to make unusual, exciting, or unpredictable connections with others.

By evening, quiet connection with a partner or close friend, will feel satisfying. Remember, you’re still adjusting to the changes of the past few days (Mercury retrograde, Mars entering dreamy Pisces, and the Sun entering ambitious Capricorn). Rest together, with a partner or friend. Some hours of calm quiet rest may be more important than you realize.

The Libra Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:32 PM EST until she enters Scorpio on Friday morning at 9:32 AM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.

MYSTERY AND INTRIGUE

Friday, December 23, 2016:

The rest we required on Thursday evening will serve us well when the Moon enters emotionally penetrating Scorpio at 9:32 AM EST. Throughout the afternoon, this powerful Scorpio Moon engages in harmonious conversations with the Sun and Mars.

The intensity of your emotions can be used for practical purposes. You are powerfully driven to push forward as you approach your deepest desires.

This may be a simple day but the results of connections made may powerfully move your life forward.

There is no need to keep your deepest desires undercover. Allow others to support you and offer support to others, as you each engage in the transformation of your lives. A sense of mystery and intrigue show you are on the right path.

STABILIZE ECCENTRIC PROCLIVITIES

Saturday, December 24, 2016:

Saturday holds a very important transit that presents important keys to the coming months. At 7:20 PM EST, Saturn trine Uranus; this is the first of three ‘hits’ of this aspect. The second will be on May 19, 2017 and the third on November 11, 2017.

This transit brings the defiant, independent, and eccentric, revolutionary energy of Uranus and the stabilizing, responsible, conservative authority of Saturn into a harmonious conversation. Uranus questions the places where Saturn is stuck. Saturn shows Uranus how to bring responsibility and stabilization to revolutionary shocking realities.

Considering how these two energies may support each other in the midst of our current political catastrophe certainly gives us food for thought. Uranus upsets and revolutionizes; Saturn brings maturity and restriction. Keep in mind that this is a harmonious connection. Harmonious for whom, we must ask?  We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes politically; we do know there are powerful energies at work.

Within the context of your personal life, this may show up as you struggle to stabilize your more eccentric proclivities or work to break out of places where you are stuck. Much depends on where this occurs in your chart. If you have personal planets between 18 and 22 of Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius), you are feeling a deep flow on these issues.

LOVE <3

Sunday, December 25, 2016:

It is a delight to find that on Sunday, which so many people are celebrating, provides us with an entire day of the Scorpio Moon VOC*. This enables us to easily relax into a holiday. There is nothing to be done. Enjoy wherever you find yourself. The Scorpio Moon encourages us to stay deeply connected to profound emotions.

Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and sensual pleasures is incredibly active on Sunday. First, she forms a lovely, flowing trine to philosophical Jupiter at 8:22 AM EST allowing your understanding of love and beauty to expand.

When she sextiles Uranus at 11:35 AM EST, she asks you to look outside of your conservative expectations to see unexpected or unusual opportunities that may be presented to create beauty or build on loving connections.

At 1:32 PM EST, she sextiles Saturn offering the possibility of mature stabilization of love. These delightful Venus aspects promise you a delightful day.

Unfortunately, of course, you may have personal transits that override all this pleasure and beauty. Even so, you will feel this; remain open to the enjoyment of it.

As you head into the evening, the Moon enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST, you may want to stay up late enough to spend some time in the expansive emotional energy that comes forward at the time.

Absorb and extend outward to others, all the love that you can muster on Sunday.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* (think of it as being adrift, without focus or connection) from 2:22 AM EST until she enters Sagittarius at 10:19 PM EST. Remember, when the Moon is VOC* there will be no result from anything that is begun. This is neutral; not good, not bad, it simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have significant future impact.
