Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather: January 11, 2016 through January 17, 2016

We can anticipate an easier week ahead. Ahhh, it feels good to say that. Naturally, with Mercury retrograde, the reality of that statement assumes that you have learned how to manage Mercury retrograde. Yes, you will want to be hyper aware of your communications… but still!  Let’s all agree!  This will be a better week!

OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE

Monday, January 11, 2016:

Today has the potential to be a truly delightful day.  Of course, that depends on how you managed the more challenging energies of the past weekend.  Last week likely left most of us with something significant to consider, and possibly, decisions to make.

With the Moon in Aquarius, we have the opportunity to embrace something that will be a powerful support in days to come.  The Aquarius Moon dances with great delight at the mid-point between Saturn and Venus, and Uranus.  The powerful opportunities offered can pass right by if you don’t pay attention.  Keep your eyes open to what shows up in your circumstances and in your mental thought-scapes.

As a result of the challenges of the weekend, I hope you were able to work deeply with an area of your personal values, expressed through your love relationships or your financial situation.

Today, the excitement of what is possible becomes apparent.  Pay attention. The excitement and anticipation will continue to vibrate over the next few days.  Understand that deep structure and hard work builds joy and stability in love, comfort, and the expression of beauty.

ELECTRIC CHARGE TO THE HEART

Tuesday, January 12, 2016:

Don’t over-schedule your day on Tuesday. With Mercury retrograde and the Moon VOC* (making no major aspects), this is a day for contemplation as you encounter the buildup of excitement that began on Monday.
At 6:53 PM EST, the Moon enters Pisces. This opens your imagination to the process and allows your intuition to connect with the excitement you are feeling.  At 7:10 PM EST, Venus trine Uranus, bringing the anticipated intensification and buzz to its full-blown state. It may not be easy to sleep Tuesday night as our hearts are stimulated with the electric charge of Uranus.

What we are looking at and living through is the cycle between Venus and Uranus. This is a cycle of intensifying our deepest personal values. Great change is brought to your intimate relationships, financial situation, and your relationship to money and resources. The cycle began in early March 2015; for better or worse, it came to its full expression in late November, at that time you knew if your choices in March had brought you to your correct path.

Now, we are at the place in the cycle where we truly are able to see the value of where we have come and how our personal values have dramatically changed. If you are able to see how this cycle has played out in your life, talk about it or journal about it early this week. As you look over the course of the cycle, you will be able to understand how your true values and your true understanding of your path has changed dramatically and brought deeper value, and (potentially) deep joy into your life.

ENTHUSIASTICALLY PLAN AN ADVENTURE

Wednesday, January 13, 2016:

With the Moon in Pisces, you may feel particularly sensitive and intuitive on Wednesday. The boundaries between yourself and others don’t feel so solid and you are able to feel connections and compassion more easily.

At 5:48 PM EST, the Sun trine Jupiter, this will boost your enthusiasm and self-confidence. You may notice your high level of awareness regarding social and moral issues. In all things, your desire is to take the high road and you see the value in an open heart, vulnerability, and trust.

Let’s briefly look at the entire cycle between the Sun and Jupiter; this is a cycle of core expansion. Whatever Jupiter touches, that area of your life expands and grows larger. The Sun is the center, the core of our universe, and represents the core of self. This cycle began in late August 2015. If you can look back on that time and see where in your life you encountered significant expansion, look now for where you are receiving the gifts of that expansion. The full illumination, and the full results, of that cycle will come in early March 2016.

If you are offered a road trip or an adventure; take it! This should be a lovely day! Plan ahead to enjoy it.

SHARE YOUR CONTEMPLATIONS

Thursday, January 14, 2016:

On Thursday, we continue with the enthusiasm from Wednesday with a subtle shift. You are ready, now, to communicate that enthusiasm or understanding! Your beliefs, faith, and trust in yourself, and in humanity want to come into the conversation or to be written or blogged about.

On Thursday, Mercury and the Sun join at 23° Capricorn. Together, they form a trine with Jupiter. This day calls for you to contemplate your deeper beliefs, to write from a place of openhearted trust, to explore your unique view of life, and all that is beyond this life. This is a time for philosophical exploration, conversations, and personal advancement.

The Moon remains in Pisces; following a sextile to the Sun at 11:32 AM EST, she is very quiet (VOC*) until she enters Aries at 9:49 PM EST.

When you awake on Friday morning, you will notice a very different flavor to the day! That Aries Moon will give us an assertive push toward the fine weekend ahead.

WORK ON YOUR OWN PATH

Friday, January 15, 2016:

As we start the day on Friday, we are motivated by a strong desire to begin anew. We are able to tap into the energy of enthusiasm, spontaneity, and physical action. You may notice yourself being powerfully drawn to escaping the crowd and going off on our own. You are ready to take on and work toward your personal challenges.

Other than the Aries Moon forming a trine aspect to Saturn, there are no other major aspects occurring.

The Moon trine Saturn will bring new responsibilities or bring your awareness to ones you already have. You are serious about your path forward and not easily swayed from your individually chosen target. You feel a serious nature of common sense and logic even as you assertively take action on your own, for yourself.

This is not recommended as a Friday night for a party or high social expectations. Time alone following your individual path in a serious manner will be most constructive and most satisfying.

TAKE ACTION TO BRING GOODNESS

Saturday, January 16, 2016:

Continuing the theme of Friday, Saturday is a powerful day to be on your own. You may experience some cranky energy in the morning; however, it will not be serious unless you manage it poorly. Get out for a walk, a bike ride, or any solitary physical pursuit.

Saturday evening brings a square aspect between the Sun (Capricorn) and the Moon (Aries). This is the First Quarter Square in the cycle between them.

Last Saturday, (January 9), we began the ‘cycle of building integrity’ at the Capricorn New Moon (Sun and Moon conjunct). This Saturday, you can expect to encounter a challenge to your newly budding understanding of your personal integrity. Whatever that challenge may be, try not to act impulsively.

Yes, you must take action on what began last weekend but it is crucial that you think clearly and take action from the space of your intended straightforwardness, goodness, and integrity.

Like Friday, this is not a great day or evening for socializing. In terms of this weekend, your best bet is to gather with friends for brunch early Sunday afternoon!

CALM APPRECIATION; SENSUAL PLEASURE

Sunday, January 17, 2016:

Waking up on Sunday morning should be a pleasant experience. Don’t jump out of bed too quickly. This is a morning to languish, to experience the deep pleasure of living in a human body.

Pay attention to sensations of all kinds; taste, sound, touch, and sight. You will deeply enjoy music, flowers on the kitchen table and a perfect cup of coffee. Take your time over that perfect cup of coffee.

When you’re ready go out into the world, join your friends for brunch, a trip to the museum, or even a particularly beautiful movie.

This is a day for calm appreciation. You do not need to move quickly; simply be solid in exactly the place you find yourself. Seek beauty and kindness in all that you encounter and all that you do on Sunday.

Welcome to the first full week of 2016!

We begin the week with the Moon in Scorpio where she remains throughout Monday and Tuesday allowing us the time we need to contemplate the process ahead.

On Tuesday, even as your fantasies soften the burden, your ideas, and how you communicate them, encounter some rocky ground. Release any rigidity in your mind and welcome the paradox that is ever present.

Mercury turns retrograde on Tuesday, your teeth may feel set on edge if you have not prepared. Do take the time to prepare your projects for completion over the coming weeks. Remember, this is not the time to start new projects but the time for completing projects, communications, and all endeavors that have already begun. Mercury is retrograde for approximately 3 weeks and will turn direct on January 25th.

This is a powerful and potentially problematic week (Sun making contact with Pluto and Uranus) that could bring all kinds of secrets to the surface and force us to look into some of the deeper corners of our lives and psyches that we may prefer to avoid.

Do what is necessary; open to the reality of your situation and ride the wave of your life. We are reminded of the transformative power that has profoundly moved our lives, and the world, in new directions over the past several years (Uranus square Pluto 2012 – 2015).

Wednesday and Thursday, the Moon transits Sagittarius engaging our emotions in a desire to explore different perspectives on the situations we find ourselves in.

Friday and Saturday, the Moon is in Capricorn even as Mercury backs into Capricorn once more. These are serious days at the Darkest Phase of the Moon. Mercury enters Capricorn, Venus is conjunct Saturn; and we have no choice but to look at what is most serious, significant, and real in our lives.

On Saturday at 8:30 PM EST, we come to the New Moon at 19° Capricorn. As we begin this new lunar cycle, we must pay attention to our ambitions and the very real integrity that is demanded as we move forward.

Sunday afternoon, the Moon enters Aquarius and we move into a lighter, easier energy to end the week.

Are you concerned or unclear about your path ahead?

SIMPLICITY

Monday, January 4, 2016:

I don’t think it is ever easy for us to head back to our routine lives after the holidays finally come to a close. On Monday, with the Moon in Scorpio and the Sun rapidly approaching a conjunction to Pluto and a square to Uranus, we could all use extra time for inner work but reality awaits, with intensity and transformation on the horizon.

Your thoughts are active, your dreams are palatable, and you know that your life and the lives of those around you are fluctuating madly.

Monday begins with deep contemplation of the transformation that you so viscerally feel is right at your fingertips. For today, seek simplicity. The Scorpio Moon is forming pleasant and gentle aspects to Neptune, the Sun, and Pluto throughout the day.

Head home or to a place of comfort as early as you can on Monday. Practice excellent self-care, get plenty of rest, and pay careful attention to what your body, mind, and spirit seek.

As the week begins, we deeply contemplate the transformation that is possible, if not inevitable. Keep your expectations simple and direct.

MERCURY RETROGRADE

Tuesday, January 5, 2016:

Yes, Mercury turns retrograde at 8:06 AM EST. I hope you have moved beyond pure negativity regarding Mercury retrograde. Mercury will be retrograde until January 25th.

No, this is not a great time to make purchases such as cars, computers, electronics, or homes. However, this is not a period of time to hide under the bed in anticipation of everything going wrong! Simply focus your attention on getting accomplished what has been left undone since the last Mercury retrograde.

Do not take on new projects. This can be a time of great accomplishments if we pay attention.

On Tuesday, be aware of the impact your words and communications have on others. This is a complex day.

Venus square Neptune at 9:33 AM EST as you float within a daydream or release one you have been holding onto for some time. The path forward may not seem clear as you attempt to open your heart to a level of freedom, within the context of love, which has been previously unknown to you. Allow yourself to see the beauty of this path without restraint.

At 10:28 PM EST, the Sun conjunct Pluto; throughout this week, you will be reminded of the power and difficulties of the past several years. Contemplate the transformation in your own life, in the world, and in your community that began in 2012. The work is not yet complete.

This first week of 2016, we once again have the opportunity to look clearly and consider exactly where this transformation is bringing us and how we choose to travel this path.

With both Uranus and Pluto involved, the recommendations always come down to: ride the energies like a wave. Do not fight against what clearly needs to be managed. Embrace the joy and the difficulty involved.

LOOK FOR CLUES

Wednesday, January 6, 2016:

Pay careful attention to anything that aggravates you or catches you off-guard on Wednesday. Look for clues in your environment; where do you need to pay attention?

With the Sun conjunct Pluto on Tuesday and forming a square with Uranus on Thursday, anything that gets under your skin has a message or a lesson to teach you. The world has changed in the past 3 ½ years; your personal life has transformed in ways that leave you feeling like you’re living an entirely different life. Where in your life do you still need to be paying attention to lessons on empowerment and individuation?

The Moon is in Sagittarius on Wednesday. Engage your heart in open exploration of ideas and beliefs that are foreign to your current understanding.

EXPAND WITH AWARENESS

Thursday, January 7, 2016:

On Thursday morning at 7:22 AM EST, the Sun squares Uranus suggesting the necessity to continue working with the major transformation of the past several years. It feels like this process has been going on forever. This ongoing transformation is so deep and all-consuming that it simply takes this much time.

This cycle between the Sun and Uranus – the cycle of bringing your own individuation front and center in your life – began in April 2015.

Whatever began in April, came to full illumination in October. It is time now to begin the process of release in order to prepare for the next cycle of individuation, which will begin in April 2016.

Jupiter turns retrograde at 11:40 PM EST and will remain retrograde until May 9, 2016. Jupiter turns retrograde every 13 months and remains so for approximately 4 months. These periods are ideal for philosophical or spiritual reflection.

Jupiter’s retrograde allows extra time for internal introspection in whatever area of your life has been most recently expanding. If you have felt out of control, compulsive, or have been dealing with addictive behaviors, you will now have time to recognize, understand, and work with these issues.

Take advantage of this opportunity and look deeply within. Expand with awareness.

MATURITY IN CONNECTION

Friday, January 8, 2016:

Your thoughts, communications, and emotional needs are probably less than lighthearted as you approach the weekend.

The Moon enters Capricorn at 10:06 AM EST on Friday. At 2:36 PM EST , Mercury retrogrades back into Capricorn.  Happily, Venus is in Sagittarius, so your personal values, as they are reflected in your intimate relationships, allow space for exploration and play. Yet, within the context of that exploration, your communications and your deepest needs demand integrity, clarity, and serious intent.

At 11:10 PM EST, Venus conjunct Saturn; this echoes the connection between love and integrity. No matter how fun and free you feel with a partner, this is a time of serious development in relationship.

On Friday, we begin a new cycle of sincere and thoughtful stabilization or maturing of love or money and resources. Whatever you choose to begin now will mature and ripen over the coming months.

We are also in the dark phase of the Moon. This weekend you will need time for internal contemplation. You do not need to be alone; a partner or close friend will bring much value to your contemplations and your contemplations will bring much value to your relationship with that partner or friend.

Allow and seek open hearted trust and kindness.

CAPRICORN NEW MOON: BIRTH OF INTEGRITY

Saturday, January 9, 2016:

The New Moon at 19° Capricorn occurs at 8:30 PM EST. This offers a day of internal contemplation and serious consideration. We have just begun a New Year; it is important to consider the expectations you have for yourself and others.

Do you live your life with the level of honesty that feels appropriate to you? Are you clear of the deeper principles that guide your life? Do you truly live by those principles?

Taking time alone on Saturday afternoon for this contemplation will be time well spent. This is not a weekend for frivolity.

Ask yourself and seriously consider what you are developing in your life that will stabilize and support you in the coming months and years. Face the reality of your situation and work from your highest level of integrity, sincerity, and honesty.

SEEK AUTONOMY AFTER CONNECTION

Sunday, January 10, 2016:

Sunday should be a simple day to reconnect with yourself after a relatively challenging week and a very serious weekend.

The morning begins with expanded awareness and the necessity to communicate important issues. Yes, Mercury is retrograde. This highlights the necessity to pay attention and understand how your communications are being received. Make sure that your intention is conveyed properly and that you have been understood.

At 3:23 PM EST, the Moon enters Aquarius releasing us from the need to take ourselves as seriously as we have over the past two days.

With the Moon is in Aquarius, you may be attracted to the unusual, you have an instinctive need to analyze and understand your circumstances and life from an intellectual perspective. Your responses are based on your thoughts rather than your emotions at this time. Seek out social gatherings, brainstorm new ideas, and plan your goals for the future.

Personal freedom is very important as you end the week. All the seriousness around relationships from Friday and Saturday has probably kicked up your need for escape and freedom as well. These things ebb and flow; as we make serious intimate connections so we pull away, afraid of losing autonomy.

Sunday evening will be a great time to exercise freedom and autonomy. Go off alone or join in the company of personal like-minded, intellectually based friends.

Winter Solstice – December 21st: As we begin Winter, the Light of the Sun Returns

Brita as Iduna by Carl Larsson

Brita as Iduna by Carl Larsson

December 21, 2015 marks the Winter Solstice. This is officially the beginning of Winter and the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere.

On this day, from our perspective, it seems that the Sun stands still in the skies. Here at the darkest, shortest day of the year, we celebrate the return of the light. As we move forward, into the heart of Winter, the days become colder and yet the light begins to grow, representing new hope, new light, and new life!

All the holiday traditions that we celebrate, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and New Year’s, all have roots in the Winter Solstice celebrations of the past. We continue to enjoy winter festivals to celebrate the return of the Sun with feasts, time spent with loved ones, singing, and dancing.

Astrologically, the Winter Solstice marks the moment the Sun moves from the exciting Fire sign of Sagittarius into the serious, steadfast Earth sign of Capricorn. At this time, it is necessary that we engage in both celebration and deep internal reflection.

As the Sun moves into steadfast Capricorn, we take the opportunity to look back over the past year. We contemplate our successes and our missteps.

No matter how festive your holiday celebration, please take time for deep contemplation. This will help you to start 2016 with a clean slate and be ready to start anew.

WINTER SOLSTICE: CELEBRATE THE RETURN OF THE LIGHT

Monday, December 21, 2015:

The week begins with the Moon in Taurus offering us a stable foundation to begin the new cycle that is represented by the Winter Solstice. The Winter Solstice occurs at 11:47 PM EST as the Sun leaves the fun exploration of Sagittarius behind to enter the stable, serious realm of Capricorn.

This is the shortest day of the year and the longest night. At this time, our Sun seems to stand still and turn back toward the light. As we head into deep, cold winter, in the Northern Hemisphere, our days grow colder, even as moment by moment, they grow longer.

Pay attention as each day brings us a few more moments of light.

Celebrate the return of light!

SELF CARE

Tuesday, December 22, 2015:

The Moon is in Taurus on Tuesday; seek peace and beauty in the midst of these hectic days of preparation. At 9:27 AM EST, the Moon is VOC* until she enters Gemini at 9:31 PM EST. While the Moon is VOC*, it is best to focus on routine tasks rather than trying to accomplish more significant projects.

If you don’t have routine tasks that are calling to you or your focus continues to slip, simply do not worry about it. Take a day of self-care and rest. It will be much easier to get what you need to get done if you simply rest on Tuesday and focus on what needs doing on Wednesday. For Tuesday, give it a rest. Take a hot bath, enjoy a glass of wine, read a long slow novel. Self care is likely what you need more than anything.

Show the Universe that you love yourself enough to pay attention to your needs. Self care is so much more important than we think.

UNDERSTANDING AND ACCEPTANCE

Wednesday, December 23, 2015:

I hope you avoided the frustration of trying to accomplish much on Tuesday. If you were able to rest, do routine tasks, and spend the day on self-care, you will be amazed at how much you can get done on Wednesday.

Many of you reading this are busy (and perhaps a bit frantic) preparing for the upcoming holiday of gift giving. This can be an extremely stressful time with much activity and hurried preparation.

Wednesday and Thursday provide an opportunity to get all necessary activities done in a short period time. Keep in mind that the most important activities over the next few days involve socializing and enjoying friends, family, and neighbors.

The Gemini Moon encourages day trips, conversations, and much activity. Midafternoon may require a bit of time alone if you notice yourself being less understanding of others or less resilient yourself. That discomfort will pass and the evening should be fine as you welcome, and offer, new perspectives.

Understanding and acceptance is an important element as we gather with family. Give acceptance, even if you don’t understand. It is not always our job to understand those we love; it is our job to accept.

HAPPY HOLIDAY-EVE

Thursday, December 24, 2015:

Thursday starts with joy and pleasure as we reach towards the Full Moon which falls on Christmas Day. Thursday brings a delightful sextile between Venus and Jupiter.

If you are celebrating this holiday with giving gifts, I hope you have completed your shopping by now. Ideally, you will spend this beautiful energy (Venus sextile Jupiter) connecting with loved ones.

If you find yourself still shopping, watch for serious overspending. You really don’t need to buy that expensive gift to show your love. Your very presence in the life of your loved ones is the most valued gift you have.

Leave all greed, expectations, and past hurts behind.

HAPPY HOLIDAY!

Friday, December 25, 2015:

On Friday, Christmas Day, we enjoy the illumination of the Cancer Full Moon at 6:12 AM EST. The day begins with the Moon entering Cancer, the sign of family security and nostalgia.

Many folks will be lost in memories of past holiday celebrations, past love, and long gone family members. Go ahead and indulge in those old holiday movies.

Mid afternoon, Mercury forms a trine aspect with Jupiter asking us to express words of love, hope, and acceptance. Expand your perspectives to include everyone at the table.

Friday night at 10:52 PM, Uranus turns direct, having been retrograde since late July 2015. Over the coming days, watch the areas in the culture and in yourself, where the Spirit of revolution comes alive. Where in your life do you see the need to speak the truth regardless of its popularity?

If you are spending several days with family, you can expect a bit of upheaval in the form of excitement or stress. What issues have been kept under wraps but are ready now to come out of the proverbial closet? Over the coming days, secrets will be revealed, surprises will occur.

Choose excitement over stress, acceptance over denial.

BIOLOGICAL OR CHOSEN; THIS IS YOUR FAMILY

Saturday, December 26, 2015:

If something is revealed on Friday that adds an element of surprise, excitement, devastation, or shock to the family dynamics, Saturday will be an active day of working from a place of being stuck to a place of understanding.

The day may begin with the most difficult conversations necessary. By the end of the day, with the proper effort, there can be great acceptance and support. Internal and external peace can be found.

Regardless of whether this is your chosen family or the family you were born into… this is Your Family. Show love, discover full acceptance, and move out of your own way, if and where necessary.

EXPRESS WARMTH

Sunday, December 27, 2015:

Let’s wrap up all the pleasure of a holiday weekend into Sunday.

At 5:30 AM EST, the Moon leaves the emotional sign of Cancer behind to enter Leo. Now, we will be able to set aside emotional sensitivity and turmoil in exchange for openhearted generosity and fun!

With the Moon in the generous, dramatic, and fun-loving sign of Leo, you need to express your deepest desires. You feel the pull toward an approach to your life from a place of passion and creative expression. On an emotional level, this is a day for warmth, generosity, and powerful self-confidence. Enjoy this one!

HELP OTHERS Monday, December 14, 2015: This past weekend may not have been the joyous one you had been hoping for. If you were lucky enough to avoid depression or a heavy mental outlook, consider yourself fortunate. Regardless of our weekend, here we are with the opportunity to begin anew. Just before 8:00 AM EST, the Moon enters Aquarius, encouraging you to seek solutions to the larger problems outside of your own backyard. You are able to see humanitarian difficulties and long to step outside of yourself to help. Today, make a plan of how you intend to help the world. We each have unique abilities, inclinations, and sensitivities to these issues. You could give a donation to a worthy humanitarian cause or you can help at a local soup kitchen. Perhaps, you can organize an outreach to the homeless in your community. All efforts, big and small, are needed. Your choice may be simpler; perhaps you will commit to showing extra appreciation and kindness to the cashier at the grocery store, or you will bring a cup of hot coffee to the homeless person on the corner, or you will buy shoes for your grandchild to make the season easier for their parents. Whatever you choose; make a commitment. Don’t allow it to slip through the cracks. At 10:02 AM EST, the Sun squares Jupiter suggesting that it is important to take some action on an expansion that began in your life in late August. Take a large step forward into expressing humor, expansion, and joy. At 2:39 PM EST, Mercury sextile Neptune, asks you to open yourself to deep levels of compassion and understanding. “The Arrow and the Song” By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.

I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?

Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

Monday, December 14, 2015:

This past weekend may not have been the joyous one you may have been hoping for. If you were lucky enough to avoid depression or a heavy mental outlook, consider yourself fortunate.

For most of us, it was not an easy weekend but here we are with the opportunity to begin anew. Just before 8:00 AM EST, the Moon enters Aquarius, encouraging you to seek solutions to the larger problems outside of your own backyard. Your choice may be simpler; perhaps you will commit to showing extra appreciation and kindness to the cashier at the grocery store, or you will bring a cup of hot coffee to the homeless person on the corner, or you will buy shoes for your grandchild to make the season easier for their parents. Whatever you choose; make it a commitment.

Help those in need; you won’t need to look very far to find them.

EMBRACE THE FUTURE

Tuesday, December 15, 2015:

Tuesday is a day to go in search of unusual, unexpected excitement. This week, you may be open to exploring different possibilities than you wouldn’t have even known existed in the past.

Allow that which you have not allowed. You may be pleasantly surprised at what is readily available.

Let the Universe show you what is a possibility.

Believe what you are told. If the answer is NO, accept that. It may not be the answer that you want. Work on acceptance. This is a day you could make great progress on seeing your situation objectively.

The Aquarius Moon shows us possibilities for the future that are unlike anything from the past. Our minds and hearts must be willing to embrace the future.

PRACTICE TRUST

Wednesday, December 16, 2015:

Wednesday morning is best suited to simple routine tasks, the kind you perform out of habit. Clean out your email inbox. Fold your laundry.

Spend the morning on those tasks you know so well that you can allow your mind to detach from the activity. Pay attention to your small quiet voice within of curiosity and creativity. Within the space of habitual tasks, creativity and curiosity can play.

At 12:45 PM EST, the Moon enters Pisces and we are called to turn this energy into the blossoming of internal vision and inspiration.

Ah, that sounds so poetic. Perhaps a poem or a dream is asking to be born. Perhaps, you are being asked to simply trust the process you are in to your higher understanding. Trust the wisdom of your intuition. Take one internal step forward that comes from sheer trust.

RELEASE WITH EASE

Thursday, December 17, 2015:

The Moon continues through Pisces on Thursday. The energy of inspiration and vision remains strong.

What powerfully sets this Thursday apart is a sextile aspect from Venus to Pluto at 6:19 AM EST. This is the closing aspect of a cycle whose goal is to sanction and empower your deepest held values. At this time, you are offered an opportunity to express the full charge of your personal power in relationship to others and to your ability to create necessary and desired resources.

Do you experience yourself as a courageous, powerful person? Do you question your ability to find the courage necessary to express your most authentic and capable self?

Thursday offers the opportunity to release something that is holding you back. Find what is holding you back and release it. It will be easier than you expect if you simply take the action now.

PUSH FORWARD ASSERTIVELY

Friday, December 18, 2015:

Consider the seed that you planted last week at the Sagittarius New Moon. Consider what your intention was in planting it. On Friday, we come to the First-Quarter phase of the Moon. At this time, it is important to take a specific and direct action on whatever you began at the New Moon.

Due to the New Moon in Sagittarius, we would expect you to have begun or aspired to an expansion or a major overhaul in your life. Keep in mind that this is only a one-month cycle.

Determine what it was that you started last Friday and now take a clear action to push that situation forward. Did you start a new meditation practice or did you discover a new avenue for fun in your life? The First Quarter Moon is exact at 10:15 AM EST, still in Pisces.

At 4:26 PM EST, the Moon enters Aries and you enter an evening of assertively going after what you want. Determine what it is that you want this weekend; pursue it relentlessly.

This is a perfect evening for dancing or making love. Physical energy is high. Enjoy.

WATCH YOUR MIND & SPEECH

Saturday, December 19, 2015:

With the Moon in Aries all day on Saturday and most of Sunday, you can expect a weekend of high activity. At 1:55 PM EST, Mercury conjunct Pluto, and on Sunday, Mercury will square Uranus. This transit reminds us that Uranus and Pluto are still in a difficult communication with each other.

Remember, what has transformed within you over the course of the past several years. We are still assimilating all that occurred since 2012.

Do not expect the intensity of Saturday to end quickly. On Sunday, Mercury will square Uranus keeping this theme hot with life.

Be ultra aware of how you speak with others and how you respond to the communications of others. Be aware of the assumptions you make and the assumptions others around you are making.

It would be very easy to have verbal battles or conflicts this weekend. As always with difficult aspects, be sure to take extra time in meditation and to be particularly diligent in observing the motion of your own mind.

Do not assume that your assumptions are any more correct in the assumptions others make of you.

DEPTH AND INTENSIFICATION

Sunday, December 20, 2015:

Thus far, December has been intense and uneasy, and this weekend is certainly no improvement. On Sunday, the Moon leaves Aries behind and enters Taurus at 7:13 PM EST.

On an emotional level, we are ready to stabilize and settle, and yet, with Mercury squaring Uranus on Sunday, following Mercury conjunct Pluto on Saturday, we carry a tremendous amount of depth and intensification throughout the weekend.

Once again, pay careful attention to your communications, to how you speak to others, and to how others perceive you.

It would be easy to have interpersonal problems this weekend. Please, take extra time in meditation, spend time alone, and keep yourself centered, calm, and aware.

I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.

ACCEPT THE NEED FOR DEEP INTROSPECTION

Monday, December 7, 2015:

Early Monday morning, the Moon follows Venus into Scorpio. The emotional feeling of the day joins with the intensity of the internal path you began traveling last Friday when Venus entered Scorpio. You may experience a powerful need to go inward, to experience your own mysterious depth.

Last Friday, this energy (brought by Scorpio) may have felt unsettling and frightening.

As this week begins, I hope you are ready and able to embrace the mysterious intrigue that you deeply long for. As you embrace the power within this energy, you will be able to experience less of the fear, compulsion, and jealousy you may have felt as you accept the need for deep introspection and passion.

Open your heart, accept what is deeply present.

DYNAMIC UNDERSTANDING

Tuesday, December 8, 2015:

The depth and intensity that you have been dealing with in recent days takes a serious backseat on Tuesday. Feelings of defiance, excitement, or anxiety are your most likely companions on this day!

The Sun in Sagittarius forms a free flowing trine aspect to Uranus! This can be a highly dynamic day with the possibility of unusual discoveries, opportunities, and active, lively occurrences in your life.

If you are following this cycle, consider what excitement or stress began in April of this year. What action did you take on the situation in mid-July, and what was the outcome you were able to see by mid-October?

Now, consider what you have learned thus far from this cycle. Be ready and available to pass that information on where it is needed. Someone in your life needs to learn from your experience. Be willing to offer your perspective and your wisdom.

Watching the cycles of your life is a powerfully enriching opportunity to understand deeply the purpose and meaning of our experiences and our lives.

GETTING SERIOUS

Wednesday, December 9, 2015:

Wednesday begins with the Moon still in deeply private and sensitive Scorpio. However, she is VOC* until she enter Sagittarius at 5:26 PM EST. This offers you a day of low-key simplicity and maintenance. Don’t try to accomplish a great deal, keep it simple and pay attention to getting caught up on routine tasks.

Mercury leaves Sagittarius behind at 9:34 PM EST to enter Capricorn. The Sun and Mercury never move far away from each other; however, Mercury enters Capricorn a full 12 days before the Sun follows.

This suggests that your mind becomes deeply serious and focused on ambition while your energy is still in playful exploration mode. Perhaps, you can think of ways that this deepening mind can be supported by the playful energy of Sagittarius.

Over the next few days, with both the Moon and Sun in Sagittarius, you may encounter frustration between play and work. As always, balancing the two is most important.

With the holidays close at hand, there is a great deal of encouragement to play and yet, we now become more aware of the serious issues on the table in our personal lives and within the context of our world. Perhaps, you can use the broad perspective of Sagittarius to give substance to your more serious contemplation.

This is a time when you will be able to get more serious about letting go of some bad habits you developed while Mercury was spreading himself too thin and perhaps playing a bit too much while in Sagittarius.

BE CAUTIOUS

Thursday, December 10, 2015:

So, did you have some event or state of mind that created a good deal of difficulty for you last weekend? Have you been waiting for the next shoe to fall? Perhaps, this Thursday will bring the completion of that issue or show you another side to it.

Mars oppose Uranus is not what we would consider a ‘feel good’ transit. These are two planets that can stir up a lot of intensity when they come together in any configuration. Yes, they can bring excitement but also anxiety and stress.

With this opposition, we want to look back to where the cycle between Mars and Uranus began. What was the issue of tension and stress in your life back in March of 2015? This issue is clearly connected to the one we talked about on Tuesday.

Did something big happen last spring, something that showed you a new view on the world? What personal revolution began in your life? Full illumination comes now. Whatever began then is releasing its full potential, for good or ill!

If you feel you have been wronged by someone from that time, be very careful. Perhaps, your anger has been building for some time; outbursts could easily occur now. Pay attention to your thoughts and curb the temptation to impulsively lash out; the likelihood of defeat in any battle is far too likely. Do not press forward in that direction.

We are also in the very darkest phase of the Moon; spend time alone in contemplation.

PLANT A SEED OF SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Friday, December 11, 2015:

Friday offers an active morning but after 11:06 AM EST things settle down and the rest of the day sports a Sagittarius Moon VOC* until she enters Capricorn on Saturday morning. Therefore, allow yourself to spend the afternoon on routine, uneventful tasks.

The day begins with a trine aspect between Venus and Neptune. When Venus and Neptune come together in any configuration, the subject at hand is a dream. What was the dream you began or were building in February 2015? No doubt, you have experienced difficult days and struggles as you tried to manifest this dream; now, there seems to be a free-flow of acceptance for where you find yourself. Perhaps, the dream did not bring you where you expected it to, but now you see that it has brought you to a good place. Imagination and pleasure are strong and creativity is high.

At 5:30 AM EST, we reach the Sagittarius New Moon. This begins a new lunar cycle as you work to integrate all the parts of yourself. Each step forward is a step along the path; even our mistakes bring us forward.

Here, at the New Moon, take responsibility for planting a new seed, thought, idea, or a plan that will continue or deepen your spiritual quest. Spend some time with this thought; make a plan, plant a seed.

Release a mistake and start anew!

ACCOMPLISHMENT

Saturday, December 12, 2015:

Anticipate a serious day of responsibility, discipline, and accomplishment. The Moon enters Capricorn, the sign of hard work and integrity at 1:47 AM EST. If you celebrate the upcoming winter holidays, this is the day to get everything on your list done.

If you are able to go off on your own and work alone, it is amazing what you will be able to cross off your list; nose to the grindstone and all! There is no point in anticipating a ‘fun’ day but you can certainly feel great at the end of the day when you see all that you accomplished!

FOCUS ON AMBITION

Sunday, December 13, 2015:

If you are able to spend the early part (at least) of the day alone, that would serve you and your loved ones best. In the morning, the stern, unyielding Capricorn Moon forms stressful aspects to Pluto, Uranus, and Mars. Watch what you say and how you treat others. Don’t make assumptions. This would be a good morning to take extra time in meditation.

When the Moon is in Capricorn, we tend to be focused on what is practical and ambitious. You are not interested in trivial matters and most of what comes to mind for a pleasant Sunday may seem trivial. You will probably want to avoid dealing with intimacy and emotional situations. You are focused on the future and how you can improve your social standing.

Indeed, that does not sound like much fun but is likely where your focus lies on Sunday. Folks who get in the way of your laser-like focus may seem like a bother.

So, let me say it again: This would be a great day to spend time alone.

You may be perceived as being emotionally cold and a bit gloomy but if you can just focus on your ambitions and have time alone this can be a wonderfully productive weekend!
