How are you feeling as we settle onto the more serious path that the Sun in Virgo has set us on?

Have you or your children gone back to school? Has your life settled down as you stabilize yourself into more of a routine? Do you see yourself preparing for harvest and the cooler days ahead (in the Northern Hemisphere)? Is this a time of pleasure for you?

Here in Vermont, with our long cold winters, there is much preparation to do. If you want to come help cut, split, and stack wood up here in the north woods, let me know. There is much preparation to ensure my warmth in the coming months. 

Personally, as much as I love the heat of August, I am always ready for the calm that seems to come with the shorter, cooler days.

I like long evenings of slow movies, good friends, and warm soup.

Are you concerned or unclear about the path ahead? Do you know where the coming Spring will find you? Let Astrolore help you understand the upcoming adventure and the path you are on.

Make your appointment today! Together, we will work with your individual horoscope to explore your hopes, dreams, goals, your current path, and the reality of your life purpose. Our simple conversation will offer you a profoundly renewed perspective on your life and circumstances.

WHERE HAS THE DREAM BROUGHT YOU?

Monday, August 31, 2015:

The week begins with the Moon in Aries. On an emotional level, you may feel strong and able to take on the world. However, you may be a bit overwhelmed by far more ethereal energies. Consider your dreams – the sleeping kind and the wakeful kind.

On Monday, the Sun opposes Neptune. In considering this cycle, think about a seed that you planted in late February of this year. Perhaps, it had its roots within a dream of deep importance. Now, you can see if this was a realistic dream or if it pulled you down a path that has sapped your energies.

That dream has brought you to a sense of enlightenment or on a more negative side, a sense of suffering. The light of clarity shines on the result of the dream. If you find the dream has become a nightmare, it is now your responsibility to re-envision where you find yourself.

Even if it seems the results have all turned to suffering, seek value. You will find it hidden within the beauty that is growing alongside the suffering. Focus there.

WHAT IS POSSIBLE?

Tuesday, September 1, 2015:

Tuesday is a day of powerful energies. Do not take this day lightly. Yes, the sense of suffering or confusion from Monday will ride alongside the powerful forces of the element of Fire. Fire brings enthusiasm and drive. Take action on what needs to be accomplished, stop putting it off! Just do it!

Yellow View by Juliana Harris

Yellow View by Juliana Harris

However, do allow a little space in your daily routines this morning. As much as possible, try to guard against situations that will increase your anxiety.

Following a square to Uranus at 11:38 AM EST, the Aries Moon will be VOC* until Wednesday morning when she will enter Taurus.

You can expect a highly active, somewhat quirky day. Do not expect interactions to be highly significant, but seek out light-hearted friends to spend time with in the evening. This is not the evening to stay home and watch a movie alone.

The energy of Tuesday evening asks you to get out and engage in potentially life changing activities with others. Open your heart and mind to what is possible.

“At any given moment, you have the power to say: This is not how the story is going to end.” ~ Christine Mason Miller

SEEK REVERENCE AND CALM

Wednesday, September 2, 2015:

After the anxiety of Tuesday, Wednesday should feel calm and stable. The Moon is in Taurus bringing stability and the reverence for beauty to the middle of the week. Throughout the day, the Taurus Moon makes lovely aspects to Jupiter, Neptune, and the Sun.

Anticipate being able to see more clearly and understand the confusion and suffering from the past few days. Clarity comes as you stabilize and expand into a deeply spiritual realm of understanding.

Reverence and calm is needed and delivered. Simply open your heart and accept this gift.

“The greatest step toward a life of simplicity is to learn to let go.” ~ Steve Maraboli

ENJOY THE SENSUALITY OF YOUR BODY

Thursday, September 3, 2015:

On Thursday, you will probably be motivated by a desire for comfort and stability. You do not want change or upheaval. Life feels a bit slowed down and you are inclined to resist anything that is unpredictable.

If you can find a steady groove for work, you can get a lot accomplished. Try to find that groove early in the day before you get pulled into a stuck place of laziness. 

The Taurus Moon offers you a great day for harvesting the garden, getting or giving a massage, or making art.

The Moon is exalted in Taurus (just a fancy word meaning she loves being here). This is a day to deeply experience your embodiment. Yes, here you are in a body! Some days it feels as though we are all in our heads… but on Thursday you are fully aware that you have this body to express yourself through.

Treat your body well on Thursday; sink into your body, feel the delights of your senses. Revel in your earthly life, enjoy the sensuality of your body.

“What makes you vulnerable makes you beautiful.” ~ Brene Brown

WHAT DO YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT?

Friday, September 4, 2015:

Friday holds a very different energy from Thursday. By the time, we are up and moving on Friday morning, the Moon has entered Gemini (6:47AM EST), following a brief VOC* Moon.

There are no major aspects to concern us so we are free to enjoy the simplicity of the energy provided by the Gemini Moon.

Communication, variety, and curiosity are the basic themes of the day. Don’t seek out or expect depth or intensity in your communications, stick with the light, breezy, and friendly.

As the Gemini Moon trines Mercury, this evening you may notice how easy it is to say what you are thinking. If you have a writing project (are you writing a book or a blog?) this will be the perfect time to get a lot done quickly!

If you find yourself in the spotlight, you will know what to say.

“If you light a lamp for someone else, it will also brighten your path.” ~ Buddha

YOUR WORDS ARE A GIFT

Saturday, September 5, 2015:

Here, we are looking forward to yet another weekend. Make a plan; this weekend is a powerhouse (definition: a person or thing of great energy, strength, or power)!

What will you do to harness the power of this day?

Consider first that the Moon will be in Gemini so all that we talked about for Friday will hold true here as well. You will have the energy of curiosity and lightheartedness to share with others.

The energy of most significance is the trine made by the Sun to Pluto, the planet of empowerment and transformation. In looking at the full cycle, let us go back to the birth of the cycle on January 3, 2015.

What empowerment was born at that time? In early April, there was a push forward on that issue and in early July the full empowerment was expressed.

Now, the energy is flowing freely, whatever transformation and learning you encountered from the first stages of the cycle is now flowing outward. Offer your ability to bring empowerment to others through your teaching. Keep your eyes open and you will see the opportunity offered.

Remember; this is a day when your words are a gift; the awareness you are able to bring to others can open minds and change lives. As we learn, we teach. You will teach best that which you most need to learn.

VENUS TURNS DIRECT: MOVE FORWARD WITH LOVE & MONEY

Sunday, September 6, 2015:

Oh, Thank Goodness!

I am deeply grateful to see that Venus turns direct on Sunday! This is the day to sit and contemplate what you have learned over these past long weeks (since July 25th) of evaluating your deepest values of love and resources.

Has your relationship survived?

Has your bank account survived?

Have you come up with new ways to work with your own deepest values?

Have you learned what is truly important to you?

The next few weeks will be spent assimilating what you have learned, what you have seen that can’t be unseen, and what changes you now understand must be made.

The Moon enters Cancer at 12:40 PM EST bringing our emotions close to the surface. The restlessness of the Gemini Moon of the past few days has given way to the need for domestic security.

You long for the feeling of belonging and safety. You will want to stay close to home, connecting with your closest loved ones.

Show love freely.

This week: The VOC* Moon!

VOC* (void of course) refers to the period of time between the final aspect that the Moon makes while in one sign until she enters the next sign. This can consist of several minutes or many hours. These periods are best handled with little expectation of accomplishment. These times are ideally suited for rest and contemplation.

Block off these times in your schedule and avoid making significant decisions or working on important projects during these times. During VOC* Moon, focus on routine tasks. You will be surprised at how this one change will smooth the edges of your life!

Do you have questions about what is appropriate to do or not do during the VOC* moon? A simple way to think about it is to ask a simple question: Do I hope that this activity will amount to something? If the activity does not need to amount to anything, go ahead with it!

If you have an expectation or desire that this action is going to amount to something, do not do it while the Moon is VOC*. Think about the time you bought a book you were certain you were going to love and you never could finish it! Think about the time you bought the perfect article of clothing that you ended up never wearing. That is the Moon VOC*!

Monday, August 31, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Pisces) following a trine to Saturn at 1:54 AM EST, until she enters Aries at 3:33 AM EST.

Tuesday, September 1, 2015, the Moon is VOC* (in Aries) following a conjunction to Uranus at 11:38 AM EST, until she enters Taurus at 4:01 AM EST on Wednesday September 2, 2015.

Friday, September 4, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Taurus) following an opposition to Saturn at 5:21 AM EST, until she enters Gemini at 6:47 AM EST.

Saturday, September 5, the Moon is VOC* (in Gemini) following a sextile to Uranus at 6:04 PM EST until she enters Cancer on Sunday September 6, 2015 at 12:40 PM EST.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.

SPEAK YOUR MIND

Monday, August 24, 2015:

The week begins with the Moon in Sagittarius encouraging you to speak your mind. This is not a day for subtly or false modesty. This is a day to speak your mind, to tell the truth.

The day may begin with surprising or unexpected news regarding love or money.

The evening may bring a communication you do not want to hear. For all of us, there are times when the truth can be more than we want to deal with.

You may need to be very adept at managing your own discomfort in this situation.

Allow yourself to hear (and deeply consider) what is being said without responding in the moment.

Keep a low profile after 5:04 PM EST with the Sagittarius Moon VOC*.

At 11:22PM EST, the Moon enters Capricorn bringing a serious edge to bedtime. Resist the temptation to begin a work project; get some sleep! You will need your energy for productivity over the next few days.

“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embracing who we are.” ~Brené Brown

ACCOMPLISHMENT AND PASSION

Tuesday, August 25, 2015:

On Tuesday, you will awaken to the Moon in Capricorn forming lovely aspects to both the Sun and Jupiter. The Capricorn Moon requires that you pay careful attention to your responsibilities and keep an eye on the reality of your situation.

Keep your responses to all things practical and without any hurry.

This will be an emotionally steadfast day, as you accomplish the practical realities that are in front of you.

Late in the evening, you may need to deeply examine an area of your heart you would probably rather avoid. If you notice your thoughts turning toward blame or other negativity toward others, please be honest and take responsibility for where you find yourself.

Tuesday is a serious day, beginning with a great deal of accomplishment and ending in potentially passionate struggles with others.

MAKE THE EVENING COUNT

Wednesday, August 26, 2015:

The Moon is still in Capricorn throughout Wednesday. Get as much work done as possible early in the day. You may encounter some unexpected complications on the job. Keep your thoughts steady, move with slow determination and this energy will pass.

At 11:07 AM EST, Mercury sextile Saturn. Your thoughts may be focused on finding a serious, yet kind, way to release a certain responsibility. You may be in a situation where you have no choice by to disappoint someone you care about. Remember that your responsibility is to yourself first.

At 5:01 PM EST, the Sun and Jupiter begin a new cycle of expansive generosity. In order for one cycle to begin, the previous one must end. The cycle that is ending now began in July 2014. At that time, the expansion was of fiery playful expression.

The cycle we begin now offers to expand our insightful as we prepare to take more steps toward the expansion of service that we are to others.

Spend the evening in the company of those who truly support the best in you.

Remember, you are not looking for a dramatic or social party; you are looking for the pleasure of understanding and the ability to seek peace within yourself. Make this evening count.

“It is not in the pursuit of happiness that we find fulfillment, it is in the happiness of pursuit.” ~Denis Waitley

A COOL INTELLECT

Thursday, August 27, 2015

Long before we wake up on Thursday, there will be a VOC* Moon in Capricorn, ending when she enters Aquarius at 3:03AM EST. When we awake, the Moon is in Aquarius and Mercury is taking its the last few steps through Virgo.

At 10:44 AM EST, Mercury enters Libra. You are encouraged to look for an intellectual reflection in others. Mercury will remain in Libra until it enters Scorpio on November 2nd. Generally, Mercury spends less time in a single sign. However, Mercury turns retrograde between September 17th and October 9th. Yes, that is coming up soon.

With the Moon in Aquarius, you may notice that you do not need to take yourself so seriously. You are able to take a very different view of your life and circumstances.

Aquarius operates on a very different level from the rest of the signs.

During an Aquarius Moon, you are more able to understand those who have a very different perspective. You may feel more detached from others as your emotional nature is cool and thoughtful.

“Don’t try to change anything at all, just breathe and let go. Breathe and let be… in your mind and in your heart, give yourself permission to allow this moment to be exactly as it is, and allow yourself to be exactly as you are.” ~Jon Kabat-Zinn

SEEK PROGRESSIVE CHANGE

Friday, August 28, 2015:

Friday can be a day of imaginative pleasure as we build to the Pisces Full Moon on Saturday. With the Aquarius Moon making a lovely aspect to its ruling planet, Uranus, you can expect the unexpected.

If you encounter or are offered something unusual, something that you normally would back away from, don’t be surprised if this is the day that you find yourself saying YES! Go ahead and embrace an idea that is surprising and unusual. You may feel rebellious in all the areas where people think they know what to expect of you.

You may find yourself acting and behaving in ways that are very unlike your usual patterns of life. Don’t let anything surprise you. This is an ideal time to brainstorm new ideas and look for evidence of the progressive changes you’re seeking.

Open yourself to new ways of doing things and anticipate new ideas that come unexpectedly. Pay attention to those ideas.

When the Moon is in Aquarius, is it time to pay careful attention to all that is unusual and unexpected.

PISCES FULL MOON BRINGS IMAGINATION AND WONDER

Saturday, August 29, 2015:

Saturday, we awaken to the Moon in Pisces. At 1:35 PM EST, she reaches full illumination at 6° Pisces.

This Full Moon illuminates the places within your imagination that you long to explore and expand. The Full Moon brings us to the highest point of the lunar cycle, which began at the New Moon on August 14.

Whatever began at that time, you are now able to see how far you have come with that situation. This is the time to release full creative energies.

Go dancing, make love. Expand every inch of your heart.

Bring love into every interaction and every conversation. Hold back nothing. Let loose.

SIMPLE DREAMING

Sunday, August 30, 2015:

Sunday, we wind the week down with simplicity and a general sense of dreamy imagination. This is a day to rest from the energy that you released at the Full Moon on Saturday.

I would recommend a leisurely breakfast, a long walk in the woods, spend time on your meditation cushion, or enjoy the afternoon by a body of water.

It does not get much simpler than this. Enjoy. Offer Love.

BUILDING NEW PATHWAYS

Monday, August 17, 2015:

This week starts out pleasantly with the Moon in Virgo stabilized by the gentle sextile connection with Saturn. You are able to connect gently, on a deep heart level, with your responsibilities and the reality of your situation. As the Moon is in her early days of waxing (following the New Moon last Friday) you are able to explore the direction you have chosen. Your effort is clear and stable as you start a new project or situation.

Take a long lunch break this afternoon, as the Moon is VOC* between 12:17 PM EST and 3:23 PM EST.

The best time to accomplish what needs to be done will be the morning and the late afternoon. This is an evening built for beginning new connections, and renewing old connections with others. Perhaps you are adjusting to a new partnership or are renewing a connection with a partner. Seek out new pathways in communications. All in all this is a simple day of pleasure even as you work and put effort into your new path forward.

UNDERSTAND THAT YOUR PATH HAS CHANGED

Tuesday, August 18, 2015:

Tuesday morning you may feel surprisingly energized and actively engaged in connecting with others. This is a pleasant day with very little complication.

However, as you approach evening you may become aware of your heart turning toward the pain of a recent separation or past difficult encounter. This is on a relatively light level of feeling and emotion; allow your-self to feel the uncomfortable emotion and yet not be swept into a prolonged state of nostalgia or regret.

There really is no need for it!

It is a passing cloud of emotion that can be simply touched and released. It is important to understand that your path has changed and your eyes are best utilized riveted to the future.

YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT PLACE; THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME

Wednesday, August 19, 2015:

Wednesday morning may begin with unexpected excitement or even an unexpected surprise. Your heart is open and ready for a new adventure.

At 11:43 AM EST Venus trines Uranus.

Once again I am going to ask you to look back at early March 2015. That was the beginning of the current cycle between Venus and Uranus. This is a cycle of unexpected love, changing values, and/or surprising financial or artistic expansion. During Venus retrograde (July 25 2015 – September 6 2015), we have much to learn about love, money, resources, and beauty.

You must understand the importance of being happy within yourself before you can be happy with anything, anyone, and anywhere on this beautiful planet!

Consider the excitement that began in early March of this year. Perhaps it has not been an easy road to follow since that time. But on Wednesday you should be able to have a new glimpse of the direction it is bringing you and the value that is growing out of that time in March. Because of the retrograde, Venus trines Uranus three times (June 29 2015, August 19 2015, and September 22, 2015), this gives you an extended time frame to continue adjusting your steps to a path of innovation and forward thinking in your relationships and finances.

The day ends on a sweet note of simply understanding that you are in the right place at the right time. Celebrate that knowledge.

TIME ALONE IS VALUABLE

Thursday, August 20, 2015:

On Thursday we awake to the Moon in Scorpio. You will be aware of more depth, intensity, and introspection. You probably would love to stay in bed to absorb this energy without the distraction of the outside world.

Thus far the week has been good for social interactions and you have accomplished significant connections with others.

However, Thursday is not a great day for socializing and will be best managed with less social activity. Head home early with the anticipation of time alone.

If you try to push yourself into connecting with others because it is expected of you, you could easily find yourself in an unhealthy situation. Stay away from alcohol or other substances.

What you need is quiet time alone in contemplation.

RELEASE WITH GRATITUDE

Friday, August 21, 2015:

On Friday we have another cycle to consider as the Sun squares Saturn (6:40 PM EST). This is a yearly cycle of stabilizing core potential. As the Sun connects with Saturn it shines its warmth and light upon a serious area of hard work, structure, and reality.

On November 18, 2014 this cycle started. Consider what began that somehow brought determination, maturity, and structure to your life. Did you take on a new responsibility or finally face reality at that time? If you know where 7° Sagittarius is in your chart it will give you a hint of the area where you have needed to develop maturity in order to come to a place of deep self-respect. On approximately February 23, 2015, you likely took a direct action on the process that had begun; on May 22, 2015, you were brought to the full illumination of the cycle. What were you able to see that had matured? If you neglected the work that was being asked of you, there would have been clarity of your failure.

Now, at this point of the cycle, you are learning to let go/ release. You have learned a great deal throughout the cycle and will begin anew at the end of November. This will bring a new path of seeking an ever-deeper level of self-understanding and responsibility for your own reality.

Now, I know that is a lot of talk about cycles. To keep it simple just think about the Sun square Saturn on Friday. This is not apt to be an easy day, you are being asked to let go of something that you have worked hard on. You may not be prepared to release it. Contemplate deeply. Look clearly at the reality. Where do you find yourself in connection with the above-mentioned dates? What began last fall was clear in the spring, and you are now releasing?

Releasing something does not mean throwing something away that is of great value to your future. It is seeing the reality of what you have built, what you have learned along the way, and what you are ready to release.

Look at the stability in your life that has been built since last November. Begin the process of release with deep gratitude.

TAKE ACTION

Saturday, August 22, 2015:

Saturday brings us to the First Quarter Moon; this is a square between the Sun, still in Leo, and the Moon in Scorpio. When the Sun and the Moon form a square aspect there is tension caused by the difficulty of being pulled in two directions. You know you must step forward, but which direction to choose? The struggle will be settled when you choose the action to be taken and you step forward into that action.

Last week on Friday, August 14 was the New Moon. At that time we talked about planting a seed of full expression (as that Moon was in Leo).

The action required now is to bring forth that seed. Go ahead and make that phone call, hire that coach, sign up for that class. Take an action that pulls you out of your comfort zone and sets you on the path for full expression.

At 2:32 PM EST the moon is VOC* for a very short period of time until she enters Sagittarius at 3:41 PM EST. This brings us to an evening of exploration and enjoyment. Get outside of yourself; gather with people outside of your normal comfort zone. Find people who will show you a different perspective on the world, open to seeing the world from a new vantage point.

This is also the last day/ evening with the Sun in Leo! Everything is about to change! Enjoy this one!

BE REALISTIC AS YOU APPROACH YOUR GOALS

Sunday August 23, 2015:

Sunday bring us to the Sun in Virgo (5:37AM EST)! Have you ever wondered why it is so easy to head back to school this time of year? It is a natural rhythm of the Universe that this is the time to begin a new study or to bring new organization in all areas of your life. Think about the time when the Sun moves through each sign and the season it heralds. While the Sun moved through Leo you probably spent some time on the beach, enjoyed gatherings, parties, and time spent playing and enjoying the hot summer Sun.

Now, as the Sun enters Virgo we get serious about our life purpose and serious about study, about detail, about service to others. Virgo is a sign that is often misunderstood, as it is seen as critical and nitpicky. However, Virgo is only critical because it sees its potential.

As the Sun enters Virgo you are able to see the potential of what you can accomplish, learn, or the service you can provide to others. The problem is when your expectations are out of alignment with reality. Be kind to yourself (and to others) as you enter this new phase. Be realistic about what you can accomplish, what you can learn, and what you can do.

Once you have done that, keep your eye on the goal and you will find yourself moving in the right direction.

SELF-LOVE MUST COME FIRST

Monday, August 10, 2015:

Monday, as a day unto itself, is a simple day. At 8:09 AM EDT, the Moon enters Cancer. With the Moon in Cancer, you can discover hidden depths within yourself of compassion, kindness, and self-love.

You may notice that others respond with more sensitivity and moodiness than you may expect. Work on increasing your sensitivity and help others to develop the same. In order to develop love and compassion toward others, self-love is sorely needed.

Think of the past; consider relationships with others – particularly family members – who are no longer part of your daily life. What needs to be said or done to heal the wounds left behind? You may want to connect with your mother, grandmother, sisters, aunts, and cousins, even if you have been out of touch for years.

No big communications or grand gestures; just let them know that the door is open to future possibility.

Time is short. Consider what must be healed from the past.

EXPAND SERVICE TO OTHERS

Tuesday, August 11, 2015:

The most significant news of the week is on Tuesday as Jupiter leaves its long sojourn in Leo to enter Virgo! That transit is exact today! Jupiter, the planet of expansion and generosity, has been dramatically simmering in the warm fiery sign of Leo since July 2014. Jupiter will not see Leo again until June of 2026.
As Jupiter moves through Virgo, where it will be until September 2016, what can we expect?

Jupiter brings expansion, confidence, and opportunity wherever it goes. Sometimes, it can bring too much expansion and we find that we are overextending ourselves and dealing with excessive optimism or generosity. While in Virgo, we can expect expansion and excess in the area of service and perfectionism.

Will we begin to learn a powerful lesson in humility and begin to deeply see the need to be of service to others less protected in our culture than our-selves? During this period of time, you will make an effort to find where you can be of true service to others or perfect the service that you are already providing to others.

With the Moon in Cancer, you understand the need to nurture and care for your loved ones.

CLARITY OF THE DREAM

Wednesday, August 12, 2015:

Wednesday begins on an even keel with the Moon still in Cancer as we move toward the dark of the Moon culminating with the New Moon in Leo on Friday. The Moon is VOC* at 1:44PM EDT until she enters Leo at 4:53PM EDT.

At 9:11PM EDT, Mercury opposes Neptune highlighting dreams, fantasies, and possible suffering. This cycle began at the conjunction of Mercury and Neptune on March 18, 2015. The cycle of Mercury and Neptune is a cycle that develops imagination, sensitivity, spiritual, and mystical awareness.

Lillies by Yvonne Nelson

At the opposition, we are able to see the full development of the dream or creative project that began in March. The dream that began is now fully illuminated, and you are able to release the creativity and compassion that has developed. If you were swept into an unwise dream, it will be painfully clear at this time.

If you began a new step on your spiritual journey at that time, you will see how far it has developed your path. Do you feel inspired, idealistic, confused, or deeply creative?

Whatever it is, look at the reality. There is no going back but there will be more opportunities for new dreams as you release the energy from the past and move forward.

ON THE RIGHT PATH

Thursday, August 13, 2015:

Thursday is a lovely mid-Summer day with both the Sun and Moon in dramatic, creative, expressive, generous Leo. This is the heat of mid-Summer that we wait for all winter long!

Consider the heat, drama, and expressive generosity of the Sun, which rules Leo. Yes, Leonine energy can be over-the-top with its flamboyant exuberance and flashy vitality. Get too close and you know you will burn, stay too distant and you will lose heat, light, and life. Leo must be managed with full appreciation, respect, and honor.

The deeper excitement of this day comes with the beautiful trine aspect being formed between the Sun and Uranus – exact at 6:26AM EDT. The cycle between the Sun and Uranus is a cycle of excitement and innovation. This cycle began in early April; did you encounter or experience something unusual or surprising at that time?

Now, with the first trine aspect between them you are able to see more clearly that you are moving in a direction that is bringing you exactly where you want, or need, to go. Perhaps it has not been an easy road but, for now, you are able to see the value and depth of your path!

This is a day of potential excitement, opportunities, innovations, and desires.
Remember, this is the dark of the Moon; take time alone for contemplation and acknowledgement of your path. Plan for the new lunar cycle which begins at the Leo New Moon on Friday.

LEO NEW MOON ~ FULL EXPRESSION REQUIRED

Friday, August 14, 2015:

On Friday, make a commitment to find your deepest, most authentic passion. There is no reason or excuse to move in any direction that does not make your heart sing!

The New Moon always brings a new birth. In Leo, the Moon asks us to begin a new cycle of full generosity and self-expression. There is not healthy reason to hold back the places in your heart that want to sing and expand.

Over the next two weeks, allow expression and joy to open your heart. Allow full expression, full passion, and the expansion of dramatic generosity and playfulness.

This is Full Summer! Enjoy! This is a day for pleasure, a day to say yes to yourself, a day to wear your heart on your sleeve, and to allow full vulnerability; it will pay off.

EMPOWERED CONVERSATIONS

Saturday, August 15, 2015:

By the time we begin the day on Saturday, the Moon has entered Virgo. You may notice yourself being a bit more critical and compulsive than usual. Turn your attention outside of yourself and you will be able to manage the energy in a way that will work better for everyone.

Find ways over the weekend to be of service to others. Put your own personal circumstances and concerns aside. Look outside of your own needs and desire and find ways to be of help.

This is an interesting day as Jupiter and the Moon join together to expand and enlarge emotional connection just as the Sun and Venus begin a new cycle of illuminating love and beauty. Start a new relationship to love or beauty, a project, or a loving connection. We are ending a cycle that began in late October 2014.

With Mercury trine Pluto, you have a powerful ability to articulate powerful ideas that have been brewing within your mind over the past 8 months. What story did you begin telling yourself in late December 2015? Those lessons are now able to empower your conversations and help you show a new path to others who are hungry to learn a new manner of empowerment?

MORE TIME FOR PLAY

Sunday, August 16, 2015:

Okay. Now that we have passed the Leo New Moon, we are suddenly aware that the Summer (here in the Northern Hemisphere) is closing in on us. The Moon is in Virgo on Saturday and before the end of next week the Sun enters Virgo (August 23rd @ 6:37AM EDT), essentially ending High Summer.

Of course, the Virgo Sun brings lovely days, still warm and sunny… and yet, it is not the carefree days of Leo.

You are aware of the more serious times rapidly approaching and you must squeeze every drop of pleasure out of these last days of High Summer.

Have a camp-fire on Sunday night. Gather with friends. Don’t rush into a state of seriousness.

You may feel it strongly on Sunday but you do still have almost a week before Virgo sets in! Enjoy. Play a bit more!

Monday, August 10, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Gemini) following a sextile to Jupiter at 7:45 AM EDT, until she enters Cancer at 8:09 AM EDT.

Wednesday, August 12, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Cancer) following a trine to Saturn at 1:44 PM EDT, until she enters Leo at 4:53 PM EDT.

Saturday, August 15, 2015 the Moon is VOC* (in Leo) following a square to Saturn at 12:37 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 3:46 AM EDT.

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets. I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods. I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.
The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

ADJUST FOR REALITY

Monday, August 3, 2015:

I suspect that you could do with more assertiveness and less soft sensitivity on Monday morning. You may find yourself wanting to stay in bed, listen to music, make love, meditate, or pray. This is a day for deep contemplation.

At 7:24 PM EDT, the Moon leaves Pisces to enter Aries. At that point, your imagination and dreaminess will give way to a strong need to direct your physical energy more assertively. A bike ride, a run, or other solitary physical activities, will bring much needed energy to your body and help keep unnecessary aggressiveness at bay.

Jupiter squares Saturn on Monday asking you to make necessary adjustments. You may have recently noticed behaviors or thought patterns within yourself that no longer seem appropriate or in accordance with your current circumstances and reality.

This may bring tension as you attempt to adjust your thinking and behavior patterns. This may be accompanied by restlessness and uncertainty. As much as possible, observe the space between your current behavior and how you would like your behavior to be.

Do not worry about taking action at this time. Observe, contemplate, and prepare for the change without taking action, at least while Venus is retrograde.

THE COURAGE TO EXPRESS LOVE

Tuesday, August 4, 2015:

With Tuesday’s Moon in Aries, you may notice yourself feeling more competitive and assertive than usual. The Moon in Aries is a good time to look at the area of your life where you need to learn resourcefulness and courage. You may see clearly where you must learn to deeply rely on yourself.
Ask yourself where in your life are you learning to be truly and courageously independent and what is the next step that you must take in that direction?

Venus and Jupiter come together offering you the ability to increase and expand love within your life and your heart. Perhaps, the courage you must develop is the ability to be as vulnerable as necessary in order to fully allow and express love.

CONTEMPLATE RELEASE

Wednesday, August 5, 2015:

On Wednesday, there may be some struggle as you work with Venus retrograde. Remember, that Venus retrograde moves us to reexamine our personal values, finances, and relationships.

We are working with the cycle between Venus and Saturn. This cycle asks that you structure your love relationships or your finances.

Think about what began in November 2014 and culminated in April 2015.
At this time, you are letting go of some part of what that cycle has manifested as in your life.

No, this does not mean that the relationship has to end or that the financial plan is dead in the water. It does mean that there is some piece of the puzzle that you are working hard to let go of. The process is not easy and due to the retrograde this is not a simple act of letting go.

This energy of releasing spans from July through October. A new cycle and a new beginning of stabilizing relationship and finances will begin in January 2016.

PHYSICAL WORK; EMOTIONAL RELEASE

Thursday, August 6, 2015:

Thursday will provide you with a lot to think about. The contemplation of your personal values (courtesy of Venus retrograde) will be heavy on your mind.

Physical energy is strong and stable, you are able to get a great deal of physical work done. The contemplation of your relationships and finances will be greatly supported by physical work or effort.

Keep your mind working as you move energy through your body.

Much of this thinking may not be easy but there is a richness and depth that will bring much needed awareness to how you have been managing your relationships and finances.

Stick with the contemplation and develop keen self-observations.

Today’s Third Quarter Moon in Taurus supports the continued release of those things that are holding you back from your desired path. Are you releasing old self-limiting attitudes and beliefs about relationships and/or finances?

Contemplate release, contemplate security. No action is necessary or advised at this time.

EXPAND YOUR MIND

Friday, August 7, 2015:

Following a great deal of heavy, and possibly uncomfortable, contemplations on Wednesday and Thursday, Friday offers the expansion of ideas and new possibilities.

By now, some previously entrenched processes of your mind have been released and you notice yourself less attached to certain beliefs that have held you back.
Now, you are able to begin a new cycle of expanding the direction you allow your mind to go.

The Moon remains in Taurus throughout the day allowing you to maintain emotional stability and reverence in your present circumstances. In order to move forward, it is important to accept and honor what is available exactly where you find yourself. The reality of current circumstances must be loved fully in order to move forward.

PARTY – ASTROLORE’S BIRTHDAY!

Saturday, August 8, 2015:

By the time you wake up on Saturday morning, the Moon is in Gemini. Here in the Northern Hemisphere, we are certainly at high Summer. The earlier part of this week required much work.

Saturday is a different day indeed! This is the day for a summer party! Coincidentally, it is also my birthday! 

At 7:32 PM EDT, Mars joins the Sun, Jupiter, and Venus in Leo! This is quite a line up of planets in Leo and quite the evening for a party!

This similarly mirrors my chart, in 1955 there were 7 planets lined up in Leo. Perhaps, I should plan that party! Want to join me?

OPPORTUNITY AND ADVANCEMENT

Sunday, August 9, 2015:

Don’t even try to think about work on Sunday. Continue the party from Saturday. Perhaps, you have been able to get away for the whole weekend. On Sunday, you will want to enjoy the company and conversation of others.

The Moon in Gemini forms a sextile to both the Sun and Uranus. Pay attention to all the things that spark your excitement. If you are offered an opportunity that feels invigorating and exciting, go ahead and say yes.

This is a great day to explore new ideas and new people that will bring your life to a new level of open intellectual advancement!

Enjoy.
