A SIMPLE CHANGE OF FOCUS

Monday, October 15, 2018:

As the week begins, pause to consider what you learned over the weekend. As you ended the day on Sunday, the Capricorn Moon joined with authoritative Saturn (Capricorn’s ruler). A serious contemplation enters the week with you.

As the Moon is waxing, steadily growing day by day, she forms lovely supportive sextile aspects to Mercury, Venus, and Neptune throughout the day. Whatever lesson you took from the weekend settles into your heart and you are able to begin the week with a renewed clarity of your responsibilities and your willingness to work diligently with them.

At 4:20 PM EDT, Mercury joins with still retrograding Venus in deeply intense Scorpio. Spend time contemplating reality. Consider your own responsibility in your dissatisfaction regarding partnerships and finances. It is time to make the effort to shift your thinking to a place of acceptance and understanding going forward.

Could the real problem be your own commitment to being dissatisfied? This is a day when a simple change of focus can turn everything around.

FACE THE CHALLENGE

Tuesday, October 16, 2018:

You may feel out of sorts in the very early hours of the morning. The serious Capricorn Moon joins forces with Pluto creating a heaviness that may follow you into the day. Don’t hold onto it, allow it to pass without engaging in difficulties with others.

As that passes, we come to the First Quarter Moon phase at 2:02 PM EDT. Whatever you began last week at the New Moon is asking for further attention. What do you need to do to push forward with an intended agenda? There may be a clear division between what you want to do and what you know you should do.

You may feel an uncomfortable pull between two choices. Do what you need to in order to compromise with yourself. The effort required in this internal struggle is actually what is the most important. With the Moon in Capricorn, you may well need to lean in the direction of the choice that requires the most effort and work. Laziness is not an option.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* after 5:50 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 3:35 AM EDT on Wednesday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

INDEPENDENCE

Wednesday, October 17, 2018:

In the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the Moon enters inventive, unpredictable Aquarius. With the Moon in Aquarius, you may find your thinking moves into less conventional areas. Your thoughts may seek wild innovations and unusual inventive ideas.

This is a good time to gather with others who do not think along conventional lines. Your emotions are far less personal and you are able to view the world from a cooler more detached perspective. You are less interested in personal issues and more drawn to considerations of the plight of humanity as a whole.

You may feel a bit alienated from those around you and in the later part of the day you may encounter issues in personal relationships. With Venus retrograde, consider how your most independent thinking is creating challenges in your intimate relationship. You are unlikely to be in the mood for compromise.

Spend the evening alone or with your less personal, more intellectual acquaintances. Personal independence is deeply important on Wednesday.

Announcement: ASTROLORE is preparing to implement a rate hike for new clients following Venus’ retrograde in mid-November.

If you want to be grand-parented in at the current rate, please make your appointment today!

As always, contact me if you have questions or concerns.

SEEK A BROAD PERSPECTIVE

Thursday, October 18, 2018:

Once again, as with Wednesday, you may not be interested in intimacy or close connections, much preferring independence and a wider perspective on humanity in general.

As the Aquarius Moon joins forces with Mars at 5:50 AM EDT, you may have to take steps to resist anger toward those who have opposing views to your own. It is probably best to keep your opinions to yourself and simply allow the issues to fade away.

Following that cranky morning zing, the rest of the day is relatively quiet.

With the Moon in Aquarius, you will seek freedom from people or situations that feel even a bit claustrophobic or otherwise restrictive. This is a day to engage with your more unusual friends or the folks in your social circle whose opinions help you to develop your personal world-view. Your focus is likely to be objective and you are more interested in what is happening collectively than personally. You are able to open your thinking to new ways of understanding the world.

Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, and consider what you can do to help the suffering of others. Allow for an objective detachment from personal intimacies.

PAY ATTENTION

Friday, October 19, 2018:

Friday should be an interesting day to pay attention to how you are using and engaging your mind. Mercury, the planet that represents our thought processes and communications, begins the day with a flowing trine aspect to imaginative, elusive Neptune. Do not get too attached to your thoughts and be careful how you use your words. Misunderstandings could happen easily as Neptune often suggests that things are not as they seem to be. If you hear something that sounds too good (or too rough) to be true, don’t take it at face value. On the other hand, this is a great morning to use your imagination, to spin fun tales of illusion or poetry.

At 1:23 PM EDT when Mercury squares Mars, you may find that the lack of clarity or strong imagination has gotten twisted around in a manner that is causing you difficulties. Verbal anger or aggression could result but doesn’t have to… instead find within yourself the courage to speak a truth that is deeply important to you.

At 4:21 PM EDT, the Moon leaves detached Aquarius behind to enter mystical, idealistic Pisces. As the Moon passes through Pisces, you may feel called to rest or dream the evening away. You can go with the flow and utilize this sense of watery spaciousness by delving into music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual concerns.

Use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* from 8:28 AM EDT until she entries Pisces at 4:21 PM EDT.  When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ALLOW DREAMS TO MOVE YOU

Saturday, October 20, 2018:

Don’t expect to accomplish much during this dreamy, sensitive weekend unless you are an artist, a poet, or a musician. With the Moon moving through Pisces, you will likely feel softer, more adaptable, sensitive, and vulnerable than usual. Remember this as you engage with others. They may put on a brave face but underneath they are deeply aware of their human susceptibilities.

Make eye contact with those you meet as you go about your day. You are more apt to see the soul beneath the surface.

Find an emotional retreat if you are able. You may be drawn to water, poetry, and music. Compassion, intuition, and imagination are easily tapped into. Enjoy a movie, a glass of wine, or time on your meditation cushion. Sleep and rest, allow dreams to move you.

REST AND DREAM

Sunday, October 21, 2018:

The cosmic movement and planetary impacts on Sunday are relatively quiet. The Moon passes through Pisces, forming lovely aspects to Mercury, Pluto, and Jupiter.

Do not seek and accomplishment as you are likely called to rest or dream the day away.  Pisces is a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, but deeply emotional energies. This will be a good day for meditation, spending time on the water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, or making music.

Enjoy the rest and sweetness that this provides. If you have things that must be done this may feel uncomfortable. Do your best to go with the flow. Enjoy a sense of watery spaciousness by delving into music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual concerns.

The Pisces Moon is VOC* after 7:48 PM EDT until she enters Aries at 2:59 AM EDT on Monday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SEEK FAIRNESS, JUSTICE, LOVE

Monday, October 8, 2018:

The week starts with a Libra New Moon at 11:47 PM EDT. Hold off on doing your New Moon ritual until Tuesday. Remember, that a New Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon hold the same space in the cosmos. The metaphorical seed that you plant will be better able to grow if you give it some time to step out of the Sun’s overwhelming light and heat.

While the Moon is in Libra, you may have a strong desire to be liked and to please others. This is a good day to commit yourself to seek balance, fairness, and pleasure in all your interactions. It may be difficult to take a stand as it will be far easier to flow with what is presented than to make a set determination.

Find ways to offer kindness and bring beauty into the world.

~ New Moon Ritual ~

Over the next day or two, plan and implement your New Moon ritual. Keep it simple. First, take a moment to write down what changes you wish to begin, create, or increase in the upcoming Moon cycle. For the Libra New Moon, set an intention regarding relationship, justice, fairness, love, beauty, or money.

If you know what house in your birth chart holds Libra, consider this to be the area where new growth seeks manifestation. For example, if Libra is in your 1st house, set an intention to express more diplomacy; in the 4th house, set an intention to create more beauty in your home; in the 7th, the intention may be to bring more cooperation to your partnerships; in the 10th, you may understand that you need to bring more diplomacy and fairness to your workplace… bring flowers for your office desk.

If you don’t know what house is involved, simply go with your intuition regarding the area of life that you would like to see grow in fairness and beauty.

Have two candles available for the ritual; light the first candle to represent yourself, just as you are in this moment. Light the second candle as an aspiration of what you intend to create. Each day, take a moment to focus on yourself as you light the first candle. When you light the second candle, focus on drawing to you what you are choosing to create as you bring the two candles closer together. Do this each day and at the Full Moon in two weeks, you will bring them fully together and acknowledge the result of what you have created.

The Libra New Moon suggests that you plant a seed of love and beauty. Share this ritual with your friends and loved ones.

ROCK THE BOAT

Tuesday, October 9, 2018:

The Libra Moon is very quiet all day making no aspects other than a difficult square to Pluto that you will very likely sleep through. You may wake from dark, even frightening dreams; smudge yourself with a bit of sage and move into the day.

Don’t expect much in the way of accomplishment but instead spend time socializing, enjoying cultural activities, and intimate gatherings.

It may be challenging to take a stand, be decisive, or speak up for yourself. Let yourself off the hook. Rest in the pleasure. There is always another day to take action or speak up.

At 8:40 PM EDT, Mercury, the planet that represents our communication and thought processes, leaves the diplomatic sign of Libra behind to enter the deeply emotional Scorpio waters. Mercury will remain in Scorpio until October 31st.

Whatever sign Mercury is in suggests the general tone of our thinking and communications. While Mercury was in Libra (since September 21st) we were concerned with keeping others happy and not rocking the boat. Now, as Mercury enters the intense waters of Scorpio, the gloves come off and we are more willing to not only rock the boat but jump overboard in search of some truth that may be below the surface.

The Libra Moon is VOC* from 4:51 AM EDT until she enters Scorpio shortly after midnight. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

DEFIANCE ON DISPLAY

Wednesday, October 10, 2018:

Wednesday morning with the Moon having joined Mercury in the profoundly deep waters of Scorpio you will find that your thoughts, considerations, and communications are deep, intense, and emotional. Your emotions are full of complex thought, you may be willing to delve into the darkest, scary corners of your psyche and that of the culture in order to find the truth of what is hidden below the surface.

At 1:35 PM EDT, Mercury opposes Uranus. Uranus is the Awakener, currently prodding our minds into wakefulness. Revolution in the air, in our minds, and all the conversations around us. Remember, how you took the gloves off and determined to go ahead and rock the boat when Mercury moved into Scorpio. It is time to stop being polite? Listen to your own voice, the voice of those around you, and the voices in the culture. There is defiance on clear display.

At 10:29 PM EDT, Venus, in her current retrograde state, forms a square aspect to Mars. This is a challenge between the feminine and masculine energies in our culture. We don’t have to look very far to see it. Venus in Scorpio is digging deeply looking for truth; Mars in Aquarius is coolly detached, seeking objectivity. Seek to balance these energies within yourself, in your intimate partnerships, and in your dealings in the world.

Do you have a passionate interest in astrology? Are you unsure how to begin your studies to reach a deeper understanding? Do you know just enough astrology to realize how much you DON’T know? Even with your understanding of astrology do you struggle to have a meaningful conversation with a client? Are you ready to take yourself seriously as an astrologer and make a living helping others with your passion?

Astrolore can help!

YIN/ YANG – FINDING BALANCE

Thursday, October 11, 2018:

The square aspect between Venus and Mars dig its nails in deeply on Thursday. Consider the challenge in your own life between masculine and feminine energies. This conflict is on clear display in the culture. For you, it may be an internal issue within your own psyche or it could be playing out powerfully in your intimate relationships. Perhaps, you are dealing with it in all these areas, the culture, your psyche, and your relationships.

Listen respectfully to the intensity of feminine rage (Venus in Scorpio) and the dispassionate objectivity of masculine detachment (Mars in Aquarius). Do your best to balance on this tight-rope while respecting both sides of the equation.

The Moon continues through Scorpio, allow these contemplations to go deep into the muck you may prefer to avoid. These issues can not be avoided.

Shortly after midnight with a square aspect between the Sun and Pluto, you will continue over the next few days facing this intensity. Face fear. Look it in the eye. You are far braver and stronger than you know.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* from 7:13 PM EDT until she enters Sagittarius at 5:53 AM EDT on Friday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LOOK FOR SUPPORT OFFERED

Friday, October 12, 2018:

Friday brings a day of great intensity and challenge. As the Sun forms a difficult square aspect to Pluto, consider how is your worldview is being transformed. This deeply powerful change is probably occurring through your personal circumstances and what you see in the culture around you. Consider what began during the second week in January. If you can identify some difficulty at that time, you will better understand your response to the current challenge. It is time to take some action on what began in early January.

There is a blessing offered today as well. We are offered support and a helping hand as Mercury forms a sextile aspect to Saturn. This brings an opportunity to speak your truth or hear the truth of another. You will have the ability to stabilize your mind, communications, and thoughts.

The Moon is in Sagittarius on Friday bringing your emotions into a lighter space. You are more able to manage the intensity than you may know. This may be a good weekend for a road trip. It would be good to look at the world from a broader perspective. Open your eyes to a new vision and seek an adventure.

Remember: you are stronger than you know.

The Scorpio Moon is VOC* until she enters Sagittarius at 5:53 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SEEK WISDOM OR JUST GO TO THE PARTY

Saturday, October 13, 2018:

With Saturday’s Moon in Sagittarius, we may get stuck in our opinions and insist that we are right. Remember that everyone’s opinions are just that – opinions! No matter how we may feel, it is important to understand and accept that no one has a direct line to TRUTH. Consciously cultivate understanding, humor, and wisdom this weekend.

This is a great weekend for a road trip, it will be good to get away from all the hard issues of the week and see different sights. Interact with folks outside of your normal circles. Release the deep contemplations and difficulties of the past few days, kick up your heels, go dancing, and have fun!

Spend the weekend expanding your view of the world, seeking wisdom, or just heading to a fun party!

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* from 8:59 PM EDT until she enters Capricorn at 3:17 PM EDT on Sunday afternoon. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

THE SERIOUS PROCESS AHEAD

Sunday, October 14, 2018:

Sunday begins with the Moon still in freedom loving, idealistic Sagittarius. Enjoy socializing with people outside your normal circle of friends. Find ways to see beyond yourself to a world view unlike your own.

At 3:17 PM EDT, the Moon leaves optimistic Sagittarius behind to enter serious, restrictive, hard-working Capricorn. Life is serious business and when the Moon is in Capricorn we are acutely aware of that fact. This is not a bad thing. There are times it is important to maintain a serious outlook, understanding that our actions have consequences and we need to keep our attention on creating the life we want.

The Capricorn Moon helps us to focus, to develop clear goals, and determine the steps to get us where we want go. Spend time this afternoon or evening contemplating your goals, putting them down on paper and getting serious about the process that will lead you in the right direction.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Capricorn at 3:17 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

“We use astrology most constructively and creatively when we gain from it a sense of what is possible for us at the highest levels of our potentialities. Seeing that, the challenges is then to keep our eyes open to life itself, to be able to respond appropriately when some event or change of circumstances…”

HIDDEN ISSUES; BREAK FREE

Monday, October 1, 2018:

After the past five months of Pluto retrograde, we begin a new week with this tiny powerhouse of a planet moving forward. Some hidden issues (in the culture and possibly, our personal lives) begin to break out of the swamp it has been relegated to.

I call Pluto a planet regardless of its official astronomical classification. Astrologically, Pluto holds great intensity, depth, and deep power and empowerment. There is conversation in the astronomical world of possibly reclassifying Pluto as a planet once again. Keep an eye on that story in the coming weeks.

Watch for something to rise, newly transformed from the ashes of recent suffering. It is time to look into the dark areas of your deepest self and find the courage to be fully vulnerable with your honesty.

The Moon is in sensitive Cancer on Monday. When the Moon is in Cancer, you will reach for comfort food and the safety of family and intimate loved ones. You will want to retreat to the place you feel most at home. You may feel more nostalgic and domestic than usual. Your emotions are heightened and you may be consumed with memories and thoughts of the past. This may be a very moody day; go ahead and indulge in that chocolate cake or whatever soothes your soul.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* until she enters Cancer until 2:01 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

STAND STRONG

Tuesday, October 2, 2018:

Your thoughts and words are heated and feelings easily hurt with Mercury square Pluto on Tuesday. Allow anger to translate into productive action on the issues that make you want to put your head under the pillow and cry.

Find the power in your voice and within your mind to begin to make a difference. Consider running for office, however big or small. We must make this world a safe place for our children.

You may also be called to engage your mind in deep psychological exploration or other transformative, intellectual study. Your thoughts need to go deeply into realms of the mind and heart that may often remain hidden.

The Moon remains in the tender, watery realm of Cancer making a combination of easy and rough aspects with other planets throughout the day. This is likely to be a very moody day with lots of unsettled emotions. Seek objectivity. Don’t let hurt feelings slow you down from what you need to do.

DEEP ROOTS FROM THE PAST

Wednesday, October 3, 2018:

Wednesday morning you may awake from over the top emotional dreams and begin the day feeling hypersensitive. When the Moon is in Cancer, issues of home and family are emphasized. You want to connect with your early roots and seek out family members who make you feel safe and cared for.

This is a day where you would prefer to withdraw from all outside obligations and spend time at home with your dearest loved ones. Call your mother or your sister if that is an option, allow vulnerability and empathy to expand. Reminisce about the past as you grow in understanding of where you are sustained through the deep roots of the past.

At 5:12 PM EDT, you are ready to shake off nostalgic sensitivity and seek creative activities and fun. You may be ready for socializing if you can find folks who are light-hearted and willing to engage in boisterous playfulness.

The Cancer Moon is VOC* from 4:33 SM EDT until she enters Leo at 5:12 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SEEK OR OFFER APPLAUSE

Thursday, October 4, 2018:

Have you noticed how issues of love, beauty, and finances have all taken on a heavy element and focus in recent days? As Venus has slowed in preparation to turn retrograde on Friday, issues of women, relationship, money, resources, fairness, balance, and beauty are highlighted for deep contemplation and learning.

We will continue to refer to this over the coming weeks. With Venus in Scorpio, we are asked to look at the deepest layers of love and the profound power dynamics in love and resources.

The Moon is in Leo all day suggesting a strong ability to show ourselves more directly that perhaps at other times. Leo brings the energy to be seen and recognized. This is not a time to hide your unique self. The Leo Moon encourages dramatic self-expression and playful creativity. You will want to be seen, appreciated, and expressly loved.

Take creative risks, allow others to see a part of yourself that you normally keep under wraps. Allow your most sparkly side to shine through. If you are more of an introvert, this it is good to spend with children and to express your appreciation of others during Leo Moon. If you do not want to be on stage, applaud someone who does.

A DEEP DIVE INTO AWARENESS

Friday, October 5, 2018:

At 3:04 PM EDT at 10° Scorpio, Venus takes her first steps in Retrograde motion. Venus will remain retrograde until November 16th when she will turn Direct at 25° Libra.

Venus is the planet that refers to women, beauty, love, resources, and money. Venus relates to our most personal values and what we find beautiful and of deep, enduring value. When Venus is retrograde, it is important that we slow down regarding these issues. This is not the time for new love, new commitments, or thoughtless spending. It is important at this time to deeply contemplate your values and the direction those values move you in.

With Venus currently in Scorpio, it is necessary for your contemplation to be profoundly deep. Consider where you may have misused your values, love, money, and beauty. Where are you unaware of privilege in your life? How do you need to shift and change your values to better serve humanity?

Much has changed in the realm of Scorpio since Jupiter entered this profound, private sign last October when it brought us the #MeToo movement. Now, we see where the #MeToo movement has brought us and consider the direction forward. No action yet. We are growing strong in the hidden depths of emotional empowerment and contemplation.

For most of the day, the Moon is in Leo, suggesting that we are willing to be seen and to roar loudly.

However, at 7:19 PM EDT, the Moon enters Virgo. You may notice yourself drawn toward practical activities in the evening before bed. You may want to analyze all the profound depth Venus is asking you to explore. Don’t start cleaning out the closets this evening, wait for the weekend. The Moon will remain in Virgo all weekend, giving you plenty of time for organization and house cleaning.

The Leo Moon is VOC* from 7:34 AM EDT until she enters Virgo at 7:19 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ACCOMPLISHMENT AND SATISFACTION

Saturday, October 6, 2018:

With the Moon in tidy, meticulous Virgo, you can settle in for a day of practical activities. You may want to work on organizational, research, or analytical projects.  Try not to get too caught up in super high expectations.

Don’t allow perfectionism to stop progress but do work on projects that require attention to detail. Perhaps, this is the day to get caught up on yard work, housecleaning, grocery shopping, and laundry. These are not glamorous activities but ones that can leave you feeling accomplished and satisfied at the end of the day.

As the Moon opposes Neptune at 7:05 PM EDT, this is a great night to take in a film or an extra glass of wine. Don’t get sloshed but do enjoy the letting your hair down in an easy, quiet manner. Time on the meditation cushion will do the same.

FLOWERS AT BEDTIME

Sunday, October 7, 2018:

You can expect a quiet day on Sunday with the Moon passing through service-oriented Virgo, making no aspects for most of the day. When the Moon is in Virgo, you can get caught up in analyzing and trying to fix what you see as less than ideal in yourself and others.

Your expectations may be higher than usual regarding yourself, your partner, your family, and anything else that you encounter on Sunday. Try to curb the tendency to be critical of yourself and others. Notice that unpleasant tone in your voice and seek to replace it with understanding and kindness.

Being of practical service will relax your internal self-criticism. Consider what you can offer that will help others in need. Focus on being available, observing, respecting, and releasing judgment.

At 9:10 PM EDT, the Moon enters Libra and you will be able to connect with a partner or loved one is a balanced way before bedtime. Create a bit of romance before beginning the upcoming week. Don’t neglect flowers on the bedside table.

The Virgo Moon is VOC* from 10:03 AM EDT until she enters Libra at 9:10 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

ARIES FULL MOON – COURAGE AND DETERMINATION

Monday, September 24, 2018:

Monday is a relatively quiet day as the Moon finishes her time in passive, dreamy Pisces and enters assertive Aries at 7:04 PM EDT. The Moon is said to be VOC*between the time she makes her final major aspect in one sign until she enters the next sign.

On Monday, the Moon makes her final major aspect (a trine to Jupiter) while in Pisces at 1:26 AM EDT and enters Aries at 7:04 PM EDT. This means she is in rest mode for the entire day. Void, of course, does not mean ‘Of course, it is void’, it means that it is ‘Void of its course’.

During these times, which happen every few days and last from a few minutes to over 24 hours, it is good to rest and contemplate. Let projects or plans that you hope will bring future results time to ripen, do not take action.

At 10:53 PM EDT, the Moon reaches full illumination at the Full Aries Moon. The Full Moon represents a time of optimal light and full brilliance. This is a time to see clearly what you have developed in the past two weeks since the Virgo New Moon on September 9th. What symbolic seed did you plant at the New Moon? What do you see has grown over that time? Look to the house in your chart that holds Aries, what can your shift in this area of life to bring the best result forward? Celebrate what you know to be true and engage your courage and determination!

The Pisces Moon is VOC* from 1:26 AM EDT until she enters Aries at 7:04 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

THE REALITY OF THE WORLD WE LIVE IN

Tuesday, September 25, 2018:

With the Moon in Aries on Tuesday, you are inclined to courageous action on personal needs and are able to stand up for yourself. Be aware that you could come across as overly aggressive and inadvertently trigger others to act against you.

Assertiveness can feel to others like aggression. That does not mean to back down, only to be aware of how others experience your actions. Aries needs to take risks, after all, we don’t develop courage sitting on the couch. You may be inclined toward individual acts of courage and daring.

At 7:50 PM EDT, the Libra Sun forms a stressful square aspect to restrictive Saturn suggesting limitations on your core source of light and warmth. Do you feel that something or someone is holding you back, pushing against you in a way that restrains your full self-expression?

What can you learn from this sense of denial and restriction? The key is to look with levelheaded maturity at the reality of the situation. Something needs to be released, a solid structure in our culture is being challenged. Racism – Patriarchy – Misogyny. We really can not talk about astrology without facing the reality of the world we live in.

The current cycle of the Sun and Saturn began in December 2017. Something that began at that time was clearly illuminated in late June and now the process begins to be released as we prepare for a new cycle that will begin in the first few days of 2019.

FAN THE FLAMES OF COURAGE

Wednesday, September 26, 2018:

Wednesday brings another day with the Moon making no major aspects to any planets, shortly after a challenging square to Pluto at 6:29 AM EDT. We begin the day in deeply profound anger, courage, or both.

The Moon remains in forceful, combative Aries all day. Whatever occurs on Wednesday, it will have little or no outward impact but it may result in you becoming braver and more willing to stand up for yourself. That is important and may be enough. Do you feel a deep level of fierce determination and independent leadership growing within you? No action is warranted now but fan those flames and encourage that growth.

The Aries Moon is VOC* from 6:29 AM EDT until she enters Taurus at 3:16 AM EDT on Thursday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

HOPE FOR THE BEST

Thursday, September 27, 2018:

When you wake up on Thursday, the Moon has entered Taurus. I wish I could tell you that the emotional environment of the day would be one of stability and comfort, however, the Moon immediately engages with defiant Uranus.

Uranus can bring anxiety or excitement, this is the energy of the Awakener or the Revolutionary. The energy of Uranus is quite different from what we may expect from the sensible Taurus Moon.

In the evening at 7:34 PM EDT, the Libra Sun forms an easy trine aspect to Mars and offering physical energy and the power of will. With Mars in humanitarian, innovative Aquarius, forming this easy flow to the diplomatic Libra Sun you can anticipate intense, yet productive conversations. This is a day of high-intensity and brings with it the potential of important steps being taken in a forward direction. We hope for the best.

The Aries Moon is VOC* until she enters Taurus at 3:16 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SOOTHE YOUR SENSES

Friday, September 28, 2018:

With the Moon in sensual, slow-moving Taurus throughout the day on Friday, allow your life to slow down, and be quiet and still. Connect fully and directly with your five senses: taste, sight, touch, smell, and sound.

Indulge each of those senses; cook and enjoy good food, get out in nature with your eyes wide open, smell the earth and the food cooking, have or give a massage or other physical pleasures, or listen to music that soothes you. Your senses need to be engaged as they seek to stabilize your heart.

There is no need to push yourself in the service of any accomplishment on Friday. Simply get outdoors in nature, rake the leaves, and walk barefoot on the earth. Listen to the trees sing and pay attention to the messages the earth is constantly offering. Enjoy making love, going for a walk in nature, or cuddling with your partner rather than going out on a Friday evening. Soothe your soul.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* from 6:37 PM EDT until she enters Gemini at 9:26 AM EDT on Saturday morning. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

FUN WITH FRIENDS

Saturday, September 29, 2018:

Go ahead and stay in bed Saturday morning enjoying comfort and warmth until the Moon enters chatty Gemini at 9:26 AM EDT. The rest of the day is made for conversations and activity. As the Moon moves through Gemini, she encourages curiosity, the gathering of information, and active conversations.

This is a day to spend with folks you enjoy, people you can engage with, in light, friendly banter. Tell stories and listen to the stories that others tell, not the difficult stories we all have but the ones that are upbeat and bright. The Gemini Moon encourages buoyant, laid-back, friendly engagement.

On Saturday evening, a lovely Grand Trine is formed between the Moon, Mars, and the Sun; these are all in intellectual Air signs, elevating the conversation. Get together with friends in an environment where you can engage in lively conversations. Have fun, don’t take yourself too seriously.

The Taurus Moon is VOC* until she enters Gemini at 9:26 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

BRINGING DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

Sunday, September 30, 2018:

I have heard that the powers that be are considering reclassifying Pluto as a planet once again. With tiny powerful Pluto turning direct after being retrograde for five months, listen for more on that story in the coming weeks.

When Pluto is retrograde, deep internal transformations bubble beneath the surface, deep truths shift and tumble, even as they remain hidden. Pluto now turns direct, bringing a new ability and willingness to look directly into the deeper, hidden parts of ourselves. Whatever has been developing underground is now ready to be seen. It is time to bring forth what has been deeply private, internal work and now do the outer work that will solidify the changes into reality.

Over the coming days and weeks, you will be asked to be deeply and powerfully honest, to bring the darkness into the light. The Moon continues through Gemini allowing you to stay with the light banter and pleasures of the weekend even as these deep issues shift under the surface.

The Gemini Moon is VOC* from 11:37 AM EDT until she enters Cancer at 2:01 PM EDT on Monday afternoon. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

__________________________________________________________

* In these weekly reports, I am exploring the major aspects formed by transit between the planets.  I do not consider every aspect that the Moon makes each day as they can be numerous and are often fleeting moods.  I will consider the final major aspect formed by the Moon prior to its VOC* time, as that aspect holds its influence throughout the VOC*.

* The aspects under consideration: conjunctions, sextiles, squares, trines, and oppositions.
* The planets I work with: Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto.

Astrolore’s Weekly Astrology Weather September 17, 2018 through September 23, 2018

The most significant happening of the upcoming week is the third and final difficult square aspect between aggressive Mars and revolutionary Uranus.

This energy invokes images of intense hurricanes, typhoons, and gas explosions. Yikes, sound familiar?

When Mars and Uranus connect, the energies are unexpected, shocking, and over-the-top. You may experience this as extreme anxiety or excitement.

Pay attention to where you are experiencing your own version of a typhoon or hopefully some less destructive sudden change. Stay awake and aware. Pay careful attention to how you respond to the shifts that occur without warning.

GOALS AND AMBITIONS

Monday, September 17, 2018:

With the Moon entering Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT, and joining with Saturn (ruler of Capricorn) at 12:25 PM EDT, this is not a day to pursue trivial issues. Monday is a day to work hard on your personal goals and ambitions.

Take your work and what you want to accomplish seriously. Your life has consequences and you have important goals to set and things to successfully complete. Monday is not a day for daydreams or lack of focus.

If you have been drifting or wasting your abilities, now is the time to get clarity on what actions are necessary to change your course. You can make a decision now. One simple step can start a new path.

The Sagittarius Moon is VOC* until she enters Capricorn at 7:08 AM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

HECTIC INTENSIFICATION

Tuesday, September 18, 2018:

Tuesday brings us to the peak of the challenging square between Mars and Uranus. Keep your eyes open and accept what arrives; do not fight against any change you encounter, no matter how sudden or unexpected.

Mars represents aggression, action, and the power of will. Uranus represents defiance, intensification, and revolution. Look in your own chart to the houses that hold Aquarius and Taurus. Those are the areas of life that will likely require acceptance as you deal with intense anxiety or possibly excitement.

The powerful arena of news, politics, and weather is certainly ripe for this dramatic energy. Watch as these issues continue to shift and change with unusual speed and intensity.

The Moon continues through authoritative, hard-working Capricorn. This will help you to maintain maturity and a focus on reality in the midst a potentially hectic day.

WELCOME OBJECTIVITY WEDNESDAY EVENING

Wednesday, September 19, 2018:

Here mid-week, the Moon remains in Capricorn until late evening. When the Moon is in Capricorn, it is important to exercise maturity, caution, and responsibility in all your interactions. Early in the day, the Moon forms a soothing trine to the Sun and Mercury (both in efficient, analytical Virgo).

At 7:52 PM EDT, the Moon enters Aquarius and you can breathe a sigh of relief as your perspective moves toward objectivity.

Allow for wild, innovative thinking in the hours before sleep; seek insights, genius ideas, and a humanitarian perspective. Your emotions will not get in the way as you will be able to set them aside and view your life from a more detached viewpoint. You are more interested in the plight of humanity than in your own, sometimes bothersome, emotional state.

Wednesday may turn out to be the most productive day of the week. Stick with ongoing projects in the afternoon as you don’t want to start anything new with the Moon VOC after 1:10 PM EDT.

The Capricorn Moon is VOC* from 1:10 PM EDT until she enters Aquarius at 7:52 PM EDT. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

LISTEN TO DEVELOP UNDERSTANDING

Thursday, September 20, 2018:

The Moon is in innovative, unconventional Aquarius all day on Thursday. Seek out people you don’t generally engage with. It is easy to spend our lives with people who think, look, and vote just as we do. Seek to do it differently.

Take time to deeply listen and make an effort to understand others; this will help you clarify your own values and views. Seek out people of a different race, sexuality, gender identification, age group, nationality, political affiliation (yes, even that). Listen. We are all human and we all have valid reasons for our proclivities. Widen your interest, look to a more expansive or humanitarian perspective. Love all.

Mercury joins with the Sun (9:51 PM EDT) bringing a great need to communicate. Include others in your awareness, do not get stuck in self-concern, and involved only with your own interests. Share your words with an open understanding and mind. Maintain a logical mind; seek clarity. Listen.

COOPERATION BUILDS OVER THE COMING DAYS

Friday, September 21, 2018:

The Moon remains in Aquarius on Friday offering you an objective view of your situation and the folks around you. This should be an easy day to allow your most unique expression to emerge.

You may feel a need for freedom from people or situations that in any way restrict your individuality. This will change moving forward as Mercury and the Sun move into Libra.

Enjoy where you are at now, as this is a day to spend with your most unusual friends or the folks in your social circle who stretch you intellectually. Your interests are less focused on yourself and your closest loved ones as you are more interested in what is happening collectively in the larger world. When the Moon is in Aquarius, it is easier to open your mind to new ways of viewing the world.

Enjoy time with others, engage in intellectual conversations about the state of the world, consider what you can do, with the support of like-minded others, to help alleviate suffering in the world.

Mercury leaves perfectionistic Virgo and enters cooperative Libra at 11:39 PM EDT, and the Sun will follow the Moon into Libra on Saturday. Mercury represents our thinking and communications. We may notice that we are more interested in the coming weeks in cooperation and the creation of harmonious connections.

The Aquarius Moon is VOC* from 1:14 PM EDT until she enters Pisces at 8:27 AM EDT on Saturday. When the Moon is VOC*, there will be no result from anything that is begun. This simply suggests that whatever occurs will not have any significant future impact.

SUN ENTERS LIBRA AT THE AUTUMNAL EQUINOX

Saturday, September 22, 2018

Saturday’s Pisces Moon will help you go with the flow, allowing you to rest in the exploration of the softer, more sensitive side of yourself. Utilize Pisces’ watery spaciousness to move you with music, poetry, meditation, or other spiritual contemplations; use your imagination and take the opportunity to dream.

Saturday, September 22nd marks the Autumnal Equinox (also called the September or Fall Equinox). This is the astronomical start of autumn in the Northern Hemisphere and the Vernal Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere.

The Sun enters Libra at 9:54 PM EDT, the moment of the Autumnal Equinox. At the Equinox, the Sun crosses the celestial equator. In the coming days, you will notice (in the Northern Hemisphere) a strong shift as the nights get longer and the days shorter.

Remember, that as the Sun enters each Cardinal sign (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn), the seasons change.

Moving into the colder season we become more aware of the significance of partnerships, and the importance of creating cooperative, harmonious relationships. These considerations will occupy you a great deal over the coming weeks.

EFFORT – ACTION – REST

Sunday, September 23, 2018:

Mercury, now in Libra, encounters a challenging conversation with authoritative Saturn early on Sunday afternoon. There may be misunderstandings between you and a loved one. Don’t jump to conclusions; ask questions, listen and allow patience and understanding to grow. It may take time and effort but will be well worth it.

By evening, as a trine forms between Mercury and Mars, you are able to communicate effectively and take action on your new understanding. This is a day to embark on a planned action to resolve communication issues in your most significant relationships. You can move your partnership or friendship in a more positive direction with sincere willingness and effort.

The Moon continues through Pisces, a Mutable Water sign offering passive, adaptable, and deeply emotional energies. Sunday will be a good day for meditation, spending time on water, allowing yourself to be engrossed in imagination, watching movies, or making music. Enjoy rest and sweetness along with the relationship and communication work of this day.
